It's a rather simple concept and while I didn't see it while perusing the forums I totally admit I could have missed it. I do that a lot.
Anyways, character comment/review/etc. forum is exactly what it sounds like, a place where you post your character (or a link to your character profile. Or just an idea of what you want to do with your character) and ask for constructive criticism from the other members of the board. Maybe you're losing interest in one of your characters but aren't ready to quite trash it because it has a really nifty design. Maybe you're just wondering how you could bring more oompf to your role-plays.
Either way, they're fun things to have around. Plus, members get to have their chance to comment on other characters too. ^_^
The logical corollary is just a writing critique board where you submit various threads or posts for commentary from other members. Nobody's forced to submit anything, of course. And, of course, other members are expected to maintain a proper level of decorum.
So yar! Someone blast me to smithereens if I just missed this by being a blind fool! =D

Awesome idea. Five kinds of awesome. Twenty million kinds. Lemme go pull up one of my own... Okay. I call her Aly. Mainly 'cause "Aleasa" sounds a bit awkward. xD Anywho, I made 'er with just one thing in mind! I wanted her to be an interesting character, with depth and past, and where I have fun playing as her. Sadly, I don't think it's working out too well. The then nifty idea of an unwilling character-- a character who doesn't want to be traveling around worlds, and is mainly very normal-- is one I'm finding harder and harder to pull off in posts. And, 'cause of that, I'm hesitant to RP with her. If I'm not RPing with her, she won't get any depth! And, frankly, she my only character that I think has "enough" to put a Keyblade's worth of effort towards. So... thoughts?

Are you saying that in the 'I already suggested this' snarky tone of voice? I can't tell. XD

Oooh! You meant pulling up one of your own characters! I kinda-sorta intended to just make this a suggestion thread that would be lobbying for a separate forum for this. XD But this is cool too!
Gimme a moment to read! I luff brainstorming character stuff! >D

Ooooh. You wanted a board for this!
...
-raises hand- I vote Yea. It's a nifty idea, though I dunno how many people'd participate in it.

;_;
I suppose a thread would be fine for it too.
Comments
Disclaimer: Dei has not really played KH1 or KH2. Thus, the import of Keyblades is somewhat beyond him at the moment. He knows that they have something to do with defeating the Heartless (and those funky Nobodies) and that King Mickey actually looks pretty cool wielding one... but their super-duper-important-beyond-symbolic meaning escapes him entirely.
So, from what I gather in the Cbox Aly's a concept character that you want to see succeed. And there's no reason she shouldn't: history's just the right mix of mystery and interesting, the characters are fresh-faced and quirky (okay, Cwen's quirky enough for the two of them), the concept is neato and altogether it's just plain cool.
What I suggest (remember: grain of salt!) is to not be afraid to have Aly be mean. Plan for it, make sure the other participant knows what they're getting into but in the end, you really need to consider what stress does to a person and how they can splinter and go to pieces (or throw humongoriffic tantrums). And also try to pick those pieces up and heal rifts and so on. From what I understood in the Cbox, you start losing steam in a thread and I think - though it's quite possible that I'm completely mistaken - is that it's because you're trying to keep Aly in a somewhat static position.
So she's not a fighter. Cool. Lots of people aren't. But while she might not be a fighter she's still a little kid and also on the cusp of adolescence. Highs and lows are completely and utterly normal for someone her age living in her circumstances. Insecurity, mis-communication, doing things that aren't cool, doing things that are embarrassing, refusing to say sorry, believing you're right when you're wrong - these things happen. There might be a railroad plot going somewhere and someplace but you can probably get Aly to make the track deviate just a smidgen.
And if all else fails, give her the glories and horrors of puberty. XD

Hrm... I can see the static bits... alrighty! Thanks for the comment! I'll be seeing about a mean Aly in the near future... BWAAAAAAHAAAAAHAAAAHAAAAAA
And thanks again. ^_^
Also, we should have a board for something like this. I know this could technically fall under "Help/Suggestions" but unless there's a board for it, most people won't bother with posting that kinda question.
So again, I vote Yea. Nice idea, Dei!

Rocket's my official postergirl for this concept! Complete with Before and After posts of a customer satisfied with her product. =D
Now remember, I'm only *one* commenter! Imagine what you could do with a boardfull!

I like this idea. And maybe for carefully thought-out and well reviews, we could hand out munny? >>
Fine, synthesis materials. You win this time, you damned voices.
So would it be one thread per character, or what?

Well, it'd be a new board (is that the right word?) entirely, maybe a subsection of the suggestions and help forum, that'd contain its own threads.
Well, that's how I've seen it done~ there's no need to stick to past instances of.
Edit: So, yes, each charrie would get its own thread.

I like this idea as well. Everyone can use a bit of constructive criticism. x3 Plus, like Rocket said, more people would be inclined to make threads like that if there was a specific board for it. Although I think just general writing help would also be good - you could put a sample of your writing or a link to a thread you're in. Maybe each person could have their own thread, rather than each character?

Sounds economic! xD
It also sounds sensible, methinks.

This does sound like a good idea.
The clash/conflict between your two characters is an excellent thing to play off of...and I'd say most of the characters they encounter will identify more with one than the other, which could give little *props* to the "popular one" of the moment. Ruin will actually be pretty peculiar for a bit, but when his "eyes are opened" moreso, then he will likely find a great deal of respect and enjoyment with Aly. And they can mock Cwen and do funny things to her hair also.
I also like the one thread per handler idea as well. It keeps a better organization to it. Not everyone will be interested in this concept, but I think it will be a positive one for those who make use of it.
