Summon for Hades.
Summon for Hades.
Name: Cerberus
Theme Music: Into The Fire by Sabaton
Appearance:
The original hell-hound, few who look upon Cerberus' fearsome triad visage can do other than quake in fear. Teeth sharp as swords, jaws big enough to swallow a man whole with no effort whatsoever... brimming with muscle and canine ferocity, it's no wonder Hades chose this monstrous beast to guard the Underworld. Cerberus is almost twenty feet tall and when he rears up it becomes clear that from tail to fangs the gigantic attack dog is even longer than a city bus. Cerberus' every footstep shakes the ground, and when this colossal beast of war runs loose it leaves disaster in its wake.
Abilities:
AP: 0
[Dark Breath Geyser]
[Gathering a surge of dark energies in its three mouths, Cerberus lets loose a torrent of dark power that sinks into the ground, manifesting over the next six turns as five-foot wide gushes of darkness erupting from underfoot. Three of these Dark Breath Geysers automatically appear underneath Cerberus' enemies each turn so long as they're within 200 feet of where the dark energy went into the ground. While it is certainly possible to avoid these dark eruptions it would require most foes to focus exclusively on evasion to dodge all three each turn.]
[Alternately, Cerberus can use Dark Breath Geyser as a direct weapon, aiming the initial torrent of darkness at a single enemy or target. If this is done then regardless of whether the energy touches the ground or not it won't create dark eruptions. The dark blast is strong enough to knock most foes back at least ten feet on impact, to say nothing of how much damage it does. Dark Breath Geyser's alternate form has a maximum range of twenty feet.]
Strength: Strong
Uses: Five times per battle
[Fireballs]
[Each of Cerberus' heads can spit out a fireball the size of a small car each turn, with a fiery splash damage zone of ten feet on impact. These blasts of fire lack homing ability and aren't especially fast, but anything unlucky enough to be hit by them shall greatly regret the encounter.]
Strength: Strong
Uses: Three fireballs per turn, one from each head
[Shockwave]
[Rearing back, Cerberus slams its front paws onto the ground so hard it creates a shockwave that goes out across the ground thirty feet in every direction before dissipating. While not a particularly devastating attack it does push back any enemies caught in the shockwave and deal some minor damage in the process. Sadly, anyone with their wits about them can dodge the shockwave by jumping a few feet in the air.]
Strength: Weak
Uses: Once every four turns
Elemental Resistance: Darkness
Elemental Weakness: Light
History:
From times of old this terrible beast has served the grim lord of the dead, a fearsome sentinel ever guarding the path between the living world and the world below. Some say that Hades found Cerberus as a pup, alone and outcast because of his rare deformity, and imbued the small dog with dark power and hideous strength. Others say that Cerberus was originally a pet of the Titans, claimed by Hades after Zeus cast down the elder gods in the Titanomachy. What is without doubt, however, is that Cerberus has been in Hades' service for so long -- and been in the underworld for so many ages -- that little besides the grim lord's beck and call can effect the terrifying monster's vicious demeanor. There's hardly a chew toy big enough or tough enough; Cerberus plays 'fetch' with whole trees as his sticks, and if you think you can put a leash on this macro-rottweiler you're in for a most unpleasant thrashing.
Sit. Stay. Devastate.
