Audition post (400 words):
Somehow Roxas had found himself free of Sora once more. And he didn’t care how. Although he thought Sora did make a good other, he really didn’t want much to do with the guy. After all, his heart belonged to him and to him alone. It didn't belong to Sora. Well, at least in his own mind it was that way.
Roxas was still wearing his Organization uniform, after all, with his friends being fakes, he had no need for those clothes he wore in that simulated Twilight Town. If he was to ever go there, he might wear them, if for no other reason than to throw suspicion off of him being in Organization XIII. Or at least, having once been a member of it.
Axel had asked Roxas to come back with him, but other than Axel, Roxas saw no reason to go back. He didn’t want what the other members wanted, their respective hearts, because that would mean he’d be back with Sora. He wanted to be his own self, live his own life. And nothing was going to stop him. At least not without a fight. Roxas saw a few people being attacked by Heartless. He had his hood up, so they couldn’t see his face. He for some reason saved them.
“Thank you Sora.” Apparently Sora had been here before. Roxas removed his hood, showing them they were wrong.
“Why does everything have to Sora huh?! Sora this and Sora that, why can’t I get away from him?!” After seeing the looks on the faces of those he had saved, he stopped yelling, and sighed. “You might want to get out of here now. Go home. Or go to a friends house for all I care. Just leave.” Roxas walked away.
Roxas looked down, and his Keyblade appeared in his hand. That was his permanent connection to Sora. Even if he was Sora’s Nobody, he could still be free of him. If only he didn’t have the Keyblade. In some ways it was a gift, he would admit that, but in most, it did nothing but remind him of the shackles named Sora. And he didn’t like how he felt whenever he thought about Sora, heard something about him, and so on and so forth. It made Roxas feel like he didn’t exist. Then again, he shouldn’t. So Roxas wasn’t going to complain about that feeling.
“I want to live my own life, one that isn’t in Sora’s shadow. But as long as I have the Keyblade...” Roxas grumbled. It did him no good complaining about it now. What was done was done, and it wasn’t like it was Roxas’ fault that any of this happened to him. If he really wanted to blame someone, he’d blame Sora. Besides, he was alone now, and since it didn’t seem to happen that often, he figured he’d take the time to relax, and cool down.
As Roxas began to fall asleep, Axel showed up.
“You sure you don’t want to come back Roxas? The Organization doesn’t mean anything to me without you around.”
Roxas looked at Axel. Both he and Axel were disappointed, though for different reasons. Roxas sat up.
“You know what Axel, I think I will come back. If nothing else but to live my own life. But I’m not coming back just yet, I want some time alone.”
Axel nodded, turned around, and just as he came, he left. Roxas was alone now. And he would enjoy this for as long as he was able, then he would leave.
