Audition post (400 words):
It was... dark. Abyssal, empty of any light at all. Not even the realm of darkness could embody this much evil.
His eyes shot open. Instantly, his piercing gaze slowly took in the empty surroundings, the darkness the ultimate shield to his sight. It was magical. There was nothing. It was pure black. It was silent except for the nobody's breathing, a pointless habit left over from his humanity. The shallow breaths were loud and rang out against the absence of noise. Everything echoed...
What... is this? Xemnas' curiousity was peaked. This infinite darkness, this majestic essence, it was so powerful; he could feel it. The Superior noted that he was floating in the darkness. This was not a world...
His breath rang out ominously once again, disturbing the perfect silence... The ultimate symbol of nothing.
Suddenly, light flashed before Xemnas. It was an oval of blinding light, calling to the nobody. That is not light... Nobodies do not belong in the light. The superior assured himself on this matter, coming to a less-than-shocking conclusion a few moments late. This is merely an absence in the darkness... Nothing.
Another realization. He was standing now. Xemnas felt the solid darkness below his feet, almost as if it was a platform. With this acknowledgment of gravity, the nobody also remembered why he was here. Sora... Just the name of the keyblade wielder brought it all back.
That last, burning magical wave hitting him. The nobody began to fall, but before he could hit the ground, darkness had consumed him, sending his mind into oblivion.
That is where I am. It wasn't shocking, to say the least. Xemnas managed to stifle a slight chuckle. Here he was, the center of nothingness, the epitome of darkness, and there was a portal in front of him letting him out.
As the nobody walked towards the portal, one would hear the clang of his boots meeting the walkway; it was almost metallic. However, though they may have heard the footsteps clashing against silence, they would not hear a single breath, a single hint of air moving.
Only humans breathe.
