[b]Appearance(s):The beta rank combat droid is the second lowest in terms of strength in the series, only stronger than the alpha rank. It hovers at about normal chest height, using thrusters built on its lower body. It's body consists of mainly a head, which has three wing-like structures on the fron to protect the camera on its front, which is seen as a blue circle in the middle of its face. It is slightly elongated back, with two fins behind it that have another thruster on each one. Its main weapon is the low power laser mounted under it, in front of the lower thrusters. [/b]

The combat droid is somewhat capable of adapting, and this ability is its response to heavy armor. The droid overloads its laser, causing the normally yellow beam to turn red. This causes the laser to become marginally more powerful for two turns, but requires a turn cooldown. While it is ineffective on its own, this ability is devastating when the whole group uses it on one person.
