In a time that was today, yesterday and tomorrow eternal, there was a room.
This room was a quite uninspiring room, devoid of much decorations or ornaments that might suggest it to be a pleasant room. It had no such things, and the only classification it had was 'room'--it owed to no other title.
The room was square, and as I said rather dull and empty. White walls, white floor, even a white door--the doorknob itself was black, making it stand out rather much from the rest of the completely white room.
In this room there was a small box on a white table, right in its center. Around this box, there were four people.
North from the box was a young lad with silver hair, a warrior of darkness who had sided time and again with the light.
Another, who lay east of the box was a brash youth who wanted to become a hero--fashioned after a samurai, perhaps.
To the west lay a lady, and she was the only one among them who owed to that title. This in itself made her special and unique among the four.
The last one did not lie down. He stood south of the box, arms crossed over one-another, his features all but hidden by a white cloak. He could not have been any taller than five feet eight inches, but the room was one where meisurement did not really matter.
The door was near the lady, on the western end of the room.
Of course there was no way to tell west from east, but I'll give that away: somehow, all those present just knew that the door led to the west. Like a nagging and uncomfortable feeling that just won't go away.
All of them, bar the standing figure, had just recently appeared here, whisked away from wherever they had been to this world.

Waking with a groan, the young man sat up, scratching his head and yawning. He stretched out, his arms going back and reaching for the sky. He must've been asleep for a good time, seeing as how his eyes were heavy and he yawned every three seconds. He finally adjusted to the scene, searching around with his eyes. He found three people; one was a silver haired dude, one was a female, and the last was standing up, unlike the other two who were still sleeping. He couldn't tell for sure which gender the standing person was, but he guessed male. Standing up to stretch further, he began to speak.
"Eh... Hey. Where am I? Person?" The teen looked around for his special object, finding it on the ground. He picked it up, placing it into his pocket for safe-keeping before turning back to the robed being. The male was named Shinji. He was sixteen and, thanks to a freak accident, was now somewhat a hero named Servo. Shinji was attempting to remember what he had been doing before waking up, flashes of falling in his bed rushing through his mind.
Was this place all a dream? The evidence behind this theory strongly suggested so. He tried hard, but couldn't wake up and then he noticed the room. Everything except for a door knob, him and the others was colored white, giving Shinji a weird feeling throughout his body. Why was he dreaming of this? He had never remembered, or even had seen a white room of any sort, at least not like this. Dream or not, this was agitating the teen, hoping that the being answered his question.

A soft groan was heard from the female as she slowly pushed herself into a sitting position. She squinted her eyes until they adjusted to the painfully white room. How had she gotten here? She remembered walking around in Radiant Gardens and suddenly falling. She must have blacked out... But that still didn't answer the question of how she got here, or why she was here.
Emma ran a hand through her messy hair, smoothing it out slightly as she looked around lazily. She was still groggy and disoriented, the white room not helping her concentrate at all. Luckily, there were substances of color that were more easy on her eyes. She said nothing at first, unsure of whether the people inside the room with her posed a threat or not. But after one of the conscious beings spoke, she felt slightly more at ease. At least she wasn't the only one who was unaware of what was going on.
Looking to where the boy spoke, she waited for the robed man to speak. He was the only one who was also bathed in white, so he looked like he belonged in the room. Surely he'd know something. The question was, would he tell?

Rikus blue eyes opened slowly before blinking a few times in order to get them adjusted to the complete whiteness of the room. One question was on his mind, where was he and how did he get here? He then heard the sound of someone else in this room, tilting his head forward he saw two other people getting up from the ground. There was a table in front of him with a box placed on top of it. Things were still not making any sense at all.
Riku soon got up and took a moment to examine the room. There were four people in this room, one who had been standing there this entire time. Judging from what he was wearing, Riku could only assume that this person probably knew what was going on.
"I think you're the only one here who has an idea of whats going on. Would you care to inform us?" Riku looked directly at the enigmatic man raising an eyebrow at him.

One by one did the figures on the floor awake, and all (save the lady) turned to speak to the man clad in white. He was unmoving, his face hidden by the dark shadow cast upon his features by the hood, and for a while remained as quiet as he was immobile.
But then he spoke, and his voice was a great, booming voice that resounded with authority. It was the voice of a man who might, at some point, have stood high in the social chains, highly above all others.
"You are in the White Room," he spoke deeply and slowly, "which is a room within the White Castle. There is naught but white here; why are you not white?" He did not pause and wait for an answer, but began to pace rounds around the white box. "In this Castle, we all live under the Existence Law. One may not exist if one does not conform to its rulings. For years, nay, decades, we have lived here, and we..." He paused for a moment, in walking and speech, and seemed to tenderly run a hand over the white box. "... we have died here. Many have died. All that remains are those not subject to the Existence Law. And you.
"You have come here for 'that', have you not, Lawless Ones?" He did not turn to face them, but kept his gaze and hand on the white box in the center of the room.

Shinji stared at the man with slightly squinted eyes. What was this guy talking about? Existence Law? Lawless Ones? None of this was making any sense. All the more reason to ask questions.
"What... What are you talking about? I didn't come here on my own free will... I don't think any of us did! I think you owe everyone here and explanation to why we're here! Don't you!?" Shinji wasn't really one for being taken to places without his consent. It had happened to him before and he didn't enjoy it one bit. Whoever this man was, he was the only one who had any idea of what was happening and how the three got here, so he waited. He waited for an answer.

A white room in a white castle? She had never heard of such a place before. And what of this Existence Law? Did they have to be dressed in white too? Did that mean she didn't exist anymore? She had so many questions that her head was about to go into overload, coming up with it's own fantastic explanations. She didn't come here like the man suggested, she had no idea how she even ended up here. Like Shinji, she wanted an explanation to that first.
"Wait a minute." Emma said, finally speaking up. "What's 'that?'" She asked, something about the way the white clad man said it made it seem very important to the reason they were here.

"Lawless Ones?" Riku murmured to himself as he was trying to make sense of the mysterious man in white. What did he mean by Lawless Ones and the Existence Law? Was their presence being here breaking the said laws of existence? It wasn't as though he and the other two were trying to break any laws.
The Existence Laws as well as being called Lawless Ones made Riku question alot of things. Was a Lawless One someone who didn't exist? He was standing here physically and breathing so it meant that he was alive and existing. What did 'existence' mean in this White Castle they were in?
The others seemed to be thinking the same as Riku was, but they had questions he felt wouldn't lead them anywhere. Riku looked back at the man in white, "More importantly, what are the Existence Laws? And what does being white have to do with anything?"

Understandably, the three who had arrived were filled with questions. One after the other they launched a number of questions at the robed man, who remained standing still while they asked, gently petting the box.
Finally, as they finished, the man kept quiet no longer.
"You ask many questions," he observed, "to which answering would take me a tenfold of the time we have left. There is an easier way to find out the answers." He motioned to the door now, and stepped towards it. He placed a hand on the knob, and then turned to the others.
"'That' is the key to your answers. You will find out why you are here if you find it. You will understand what it is when you find it. You will understand why you are Lawless, and what the Laws are. You will understand why white is so important.
"I apologise for being unable to answer you now. There are many things I wish to tell you, but there is too little time left to us for the answers." He motioned to the box. "If you feel you must have more knowledge, then take that box. If you wish only for answers to your questions as swift as possible, then follow through this door."
He opened the door. Behind it was only a brilliant white light: it was impossible to tell what was on the other side, but the white-cloaked man stepped through it regardless, leaving the three others alone with the white box.

Riku looked over at the white box then back at the door. The only thing he wanted to know was how to get out of here. But both choices didn't seem to help him in that aspect.
Riku reached over the table and grabbed the white box. He didn't open it though, instead he looked at the other two who were in the room with him.
"We need to get out of here right? Well staying in this room won't do us any good. Lets try and find a way to leave this castle." He looked down at the white box he was holding. "I think we'll be needing this though."
Riku headed towards the exit motioning the two to follow him. He stepped through the door entering the bright light.

Emma was torn between the two choices, still frustrated that she wasn't really getting any clear answers to her questions or any of the questions the two boys had asked. She hated being kept in the dark.
She looked up at Riku when he took the box. Well, he was right. She got to her feet and looked to Shinji to see if he would follow. A moment later she followed Riku out the door, disappointed to see that it did, indeed, lead to just more white. This was going to be a long day. Or night, she had no idea what time it was. This was too confusing!

Shinji didn't care. His questions weren't exactly answered by this man, so, to this heroic teen, he was practically useless. The teen watched as both the male and female walked through the door with the box, leaving the hero all by himself for a minute. "So... My journey begins. What do you say, Servo? How about we amp it up?" He could feel a small surge of power run through him, telling Shinji that Servo agreed.
Simply wasting a bit of time, Shinji slowly made his way to the door, taking one final look at this white bathed room. Time to go. Shinji passed through the threshold, awaiting his arrival with the others...

The trio so entered through the white-lit door, carrying with them the mysterious box that the white-robed man had designated as something important. What could lie beyond here?
The first to appear was Riku, swiftly followed by the other two. The sight was unlike anything that they might well have seen before; outstretched afore them was a great, white metropolis, the only difference in colour being the various shades of grey interwoven in all the white. All the same, as big a city as was outstretched before them, there were a few important things to take note of.
For one, there was not a soul astir in the streets of the city, and verily it looked as though the entire city was but dead.
Secondly, they were atop a high tower, looking out over the city from what may well be the highest point in the city. The door that had led them there was nowhere in sight; it was as though they'd stepped through a one-way portal.
The great square area they found themselves on offered only a fragile and brittle stone wall to prevent their walk into the great depths. The white-robed man stood on this stone wall, still as a painting.
"Once, long ago," he declared, without looking at the others; he was staring off into the distance, "this city had been vibrant and lively; only to now be reduced to this great abyss of dolor and solitude. It is not a sight one would want to behold, where it previously owed to great sights.
"Now, be quick and come follow." He stepped forward... and fell down, out of sight.
---------
OOC: If you step down, you'll find that you can soar through the sky. Whoever posts first, please feel free to use your own discretion in describing the city. Think of it as New York except in white. The white-robed man is not to be seen anywhere. I would have you wander/float around at your discretion. PM me if this is troublesome.
