(OOC: Takes place on an island somewhere in the Destiny Islands areas, not Sora's island or the mainland. Heroic Bilby and I decided to set this up, so while anyone can join I'll have to insist on one thing:
You have to get shipwrecked. Stranded. Lost on an island with no easy way off. Here, Corridors of Darkness and other teleport-type magics don't work, for mysterious reasons that will be explored later in the story. So grab a coconut, sharpen your home-made fishing spear, and get ready for a Final Mix version of Lost... or, something to that effect.
Pirate characters are encouraged, but not required. ^_^)
The rhythmic sound of the tide sifting across the sandy shore was the first thing to greet the young woman's senses as she awakened. Finding herself face-down in the sand, wave-beaten and mercilessly exhausted, Cordell groaned loudly as she lifted her head and looked around.
"Bloody effin'..."
She had washed up on an island of some kind, that much was clear. Sandy beaches merged with sparse grass further inland, quickly being dominated by palm trees and other tropical flora to become a dense jungle-like forest. Over the distant treetops, a towering jagged rockface could be seen... almost mountain-like, except smaller and split down the middle. No sign of houses, people, or any form of civilization...
Cordell starred at her new surroundings, eyes wide and mouth agape . . . then in a fit of rage pounded on the sand with her fist. "NO!! I can't... I can't be marooned! No... NO!"
As she bemoaned her circumstances, her mind wandered back to how she'd ended up here. The Sea of Stars... apparently she'd wandered 'The Red Corsair' into somebody else's hunting grounds. A fleet of Gummi ships had ambushed her... one massive battleship, supported by a number of smaller craft. Too many to take on; 'The Red Corsair' was made for raiding and attacking weaker targets, not for genuine combat. Under a siege like that, Cordell had given the order to retreat into a Corridor of Darkness... but perhaps the ship had taken too much damage to survive the transit?
Standing up, she looked around. No sign of 'The Red Corsair' whatsoever... nothing...
Tears began to well up in the young pirate's eyes, genuine tears of despair. That ship had been her only hope for a better life... to make a legacy for herself and become the notorious pirate queen she always knew she'd been born to become. Now... now it was all gone. Even if the ship was still out there somewhere the chances of finding it again were slim to none -- heck, she didn't even know where to start, much less where she herself was! Cordell wailed out loud, dropping to her knees and pounding the sand until her hands became red and swollen from the effort. All her dreams, all her hopes... gone.
And now... now all that remained was to die here. Alone.

"See now, this is why women shouldn't be pirates."
The voice came from behind the woman, accompanied by the soft sounds of sand beneath boots. A blue-coated male with a glass eye patch who was rather short came roughly in her direction. A yellow banana was in each hand.
"Too emotional. Here."
As he passed the right hand tossed the fruit in a small arc towards the would-be-queen. Whether she caught it or not wasn't his concern. He just kept walking towards the beach while peeling the one he'd kept for himself.
It had seemed like a good idea at the time. Join in with the smaller attack fighters to get some up-close and personal time with what looked like a rival space pirate crew. Loot them of all their treasures. How was he supposed to know that the thing was a freaking Heartless?

"Shouldn't be... why you --!!"
Ignoring the banana completely, Cordell whipped out one of her pistols. She had no idea who this guy was or why he said such things, but by Calpyso she'd make him regret it! Without remorse or hesitation she pulled the trigger...
... and nothing happened. The pistol wouldn't fire. The flintlock fuse was still too wet from her unconscious dip in the ocean, she realized. They all probably were.
And her cutlass was nowhere to be seen. CURSES!
"Grrr..." She tucked the pistol away and picked up the banana, storming after the man who'd dared offend her. "Who th' **** do ye think y' are, insultin' me like that! Ye got some nerve, ye scurvy dog! Come back 'ere!!"

With a slightly bored expression the brown-haired shortie turned back to the enraged woman, banana stuffed in his mouth. He bit it off and chewed. And chewed. And chewed.
Gulp
"You aren't exactly proving me wrong with an outburst like that, lass," he remarked before turning back towards the waters. He hadn't been looking to the near-escape from death by pistol fire was lost on him.

"Like I give a flyin' rip what ye think!" Cordell pouted, rushing in front of the young man and folding her arms across her chest stubbornly. "Where is this? And who're ye, anyways?" She looked him over. "Ye look like someone as knows th' ways o' th' sea."
(OOC: Out of curiosity, who did Kristoph's character art? I've been meaning to get a picture for Cordell, and the artist strikes me as someone who knows how to draw an impressive pirate!)

[ I don't know. I just used the appearance of Vyse from Skies of Arcadia ]
"Haha! At least you've got spirit. And sure I do," the young looking man answered after finishing another bite of the yellow fruit. "I was raised on the high seas. There isn't anythin' I wouldn't be ready for, even if it is a Sea of Stars. Quite the coincidence we end up stranded in a sea of water from it though."
And there he said it. Without a doubt this man was one of the Gummi Ship pirates that attacked her Red Corsair.
"I guess it was fate. Haha!"
His laugh was cheerful enough for their situation, at least.

(OOC: Oh... heh, well that works! Hmm... guess I'll have to find someone who's taking commissions...)
"Wait . . . ye dun mean . . ." The look on Cordell's face was absolutely incredulous, somewhere between shocked speechless and overflowing anger. For several long moments she just stared at the young man, mouth hanging loose. "Ye . . . no, ye can't possibly . . ."
"Yer th' scurrilous micreant as ATTACKED ME?!?!"

"Ha! Now yer gettin' it, lass!" the man answered with a wink from his glass-covered eye. "The name's Kristoph. Capn' Kristoph at that. You've landed 'ere with the top varmint himself."
The vertically-challenged pirate tossed the banana in a needlessly showy way to his left hand and held the right out to the woman.
"Pleased ta meet you."

[Don't have a pirate character, but I'll make due]
The banana peel landed in a large pile of sand that was near the two sea dogs. Suddenly, the banana came to life and began to wiggle around for a few seconds before causing the sand beneath it, to rise from the ground.
From out of the pile of sand arose a young boy covered in sand. It took a few moments to clean off as much sand as it could, desperately trying to get most of it out of his face and ears. Shaking around like a dog after its bath, Raphael looked over to see the two pirates in front of him.
Earlier that day Raphael had been sailing around Destiny Islands on a small boat in order to catch some fish using his magic cards. But a gigantic wave came out of nowhere and you can pretty much fill in the blanks after that.
Raphael finally spoke, "Oh dear, where am I?" He looked around for a moment trying to remember exactly what had happened before he ended up here. "Now I remember! Hmm, I wonder if I managed to catch any fish?" He looked around but found no fish. He shrugged knowing that he could try again tomorrow once he found his boat. Speaking of which, it was nowhere to be found. There was just a bunch of scattered driftwood that was shaped like wooden planks. He turned back to the two pirates who were probably wondering just who the heck he was.
"Excuse me madam and sir, but you wouldn't have happened to come across a small wooden boat nearby?"

The young woman-captain's face was curled up in a pout as she turned towards the new arrival. "If'n we had, lad, we wouldn't still be standin' 'ere." With a huff, she turned back to what she considered the matter at hand. "An as fer ye, Kristoph... ye best be learnin' my name an' rememberin' it well, fer I'm Captain Cordell Ribaldrous Furor the 10th, an when I get off this 'ere godforsaken spit 'o land I'll make ye regret what ya done t' me this day!"
Her hands clenched in a fist, then she pointed one accusing finger right into Kristoph's face. "Ye didn't even give me a chance to parlay, ye scallywag! Ye saw I was flyin' me colors -- that you 'n I are both o' th' same profession... what in Davy Jones' dominion possessed ye t' come stormin' in out o' th' blue like that?! Parlay's a pirate's RIGHT, by Calypso! An' what'd ye 'ave t' say fer yer actions?"

"Aye that have been a nice thing to find while I was scouring the shores. Nothin' though," Kris added to the lady's comment about the missing ship with a very highly raised right brow. Not everyday people just pop up out of the sand like that.
And then she blew her top at him.
On the outside Kris' face was as calm and semi-amused as it had been the entire time she'd seen him. On the inside however...
'Ohgodhohgodohgod I'm stuck on a desert island with a woman that hates me! Ohgodohgodohgodohgod!' Possibly one of his worst fears come to life. 'Just take it easy, Isaac. Calm the lass. You can do it. Come on.'
"Now how's about you calm down, Cordi?" Kirs answered with both hands open and pointing up in front of his chest, facing her. "If'n you think about it, a pirate ship that seems to be a giant Heartless hardly begs to be parlayed with in the mind of a seasoned sailor."
Not that he'd realized it was a Heartless until it was too late, but maybe she wouldn't suspect that.

"Calm down? CALM DOWN?! Ye just RUINED ME LIFE!" She began rolling up her sleeves and clenching her fists... then stopped suddenly. In truth, an idea had hit her. This guy had a fleet of Gummi ships and, as much as she hated to admit it, there was no way she'd be able to find her ship without some help. But with a fleet of Gummi ships... perhaps this bloke could help with more than just recovery. 'The Red Corsair' still had a lot of systems Cordell hadn't been able to get working -- her lack of technical expertise didn't help things any either. Maybe . . .
She turned away, rubbing her chin thoughtfully as she contemplated. Yes... of course, she'd need to get off this blasted island first. That, too, would be easier with help. She'd just play her cards right until then.
"Alright, Kristoph... maybe yer right. Still dun forgive what'n ye did, but I can accept it fer now." Cordell turned back to face him. "How's 'bout a truce, you 'n me? Once we find a way off this 'ere island, you help me find n' fix up me ship an' we'll call it even. What say ye t' that, eh?"
She extended one hand to him, offering it for a handshake.

The young boy nodded and looked up at the sky. Today had been a very bad day to leave behind his special transport cards. Raphael mentally kicked himself upon realizing that fact, and now with no boat and no way off this island he had to figure out what to do. Raphael might have been foolish to leave his cards behind, but he could still figure out something in order to get back to civilization.
Going with these guys might help, but he couldn't understand anything these guys were saying. Even when they were telling him that his ship was gone, he had to take a second to decipher their accents.
Raphael would just have to venture out on his own for the time being, perhaps building a new boat would be the best thing to do. There was plenty of stuff to make a boat, and Raphael still had most of his other magic cards with him. He knew that he would get off this island one way or another.
He looked back down at the two pirates in front of him with a smile on his face. "Well it was a pleasure meeting you both. Good luck to the both of you." He gave a small nod and began to walk away. First thing was first: examine this island to see if there were any nearby towns or villages. It would be a waste to try and build a boat if there was already one built.

"Well that sounds like a right way ta go about it," Kris said with a confirming handshake, while in his brain many bottles of booze were being opened up in celebration of the less anger coming from the woman.
And then the registered the weird kid from the sand again.
"Oi, lad!" he called after him. "Ye might not want te be wanderin' too far in-shore alone."

(OOC: Sorry for the long wait; things have been busy on my end lately.) "Aye!" Cordell agreed, shouting after the young man. "Ye've no idea what may be out thar!" Turning to Kristoph, the young lass now seemed to have become all business. "One thing's fer sure: we dun know how long we might be 'ere, so we'll need provisions and shelter. Whether sandy o'er thar tags along to help or not, we'd best get what we can before night falls." Glancing briefly at the sky, she turned towards what she guessed to be north and then examined her shadow -- an impromptu sundial, of sorts. "Which means we got 'bout seven hours. Plenty o' time, if'n we dun go wastin' it. So, Kristoph... didja see any good places fer shelter whilst ye was walkin' about?" (OOC: For ease of adventuring...
Whipped this up in Photoshop as a general guide/map of the island we're on. The gray is the mini-mountains I described earlier, the black dots being cave entrances... and the '?'s are unidentified points of interest. What are they? Maybe sources of food and raw materials, places of shelter... or places of danger. A few might even contain critical stuff for helping get off the island! I'll mark them as they're explored, and try to keep the map updated as frequently as possible. Hope that helps!)
