Domino was unsure how she got here but at this point she didn't care about that matter. What she did care about though was the fact that he head was killing her, her stomach was protesting loudly with hunger, and to top it off she was sore all over from a run in with those creeps with glowing yellow eyes. Her left hand rubbed her head and ruffling her pink hair while her right hand held her growling stomach. Domino let out a groan of pain and hunger. "Uuuggghhhh..." She closed her eyes tight for a moment and thought. She had to do something. Something about this hunger, then the pain. She then also realized that maybe she should find out where she was.
She looked around. It was an odd looking place. A door with a fire symbol on it, and a large empty square. That was where she stood. In that big empty square. There where also two big wooden doors. And...a map? She titled her head. Seriously? There was a map? How...convenient. She tugged a few hairs for a moment. That would help her solve her issues surely, maps showed you things like...where to snatch some food. She walked to it and looked over it. So there where 3 districts in this area. Traverse Town. She snorted out a laugh. What an odd name. But seeing as this district had no food Dino decided that she must move on to a different one. Then it hit her. Hopefully something would be open. It was dark. She looked to the sky. Black.
"That could be an issue...." So she wasted no time and ran into the second district. No normally the pain and hunger would drive someone to go take care of the issues. And it had been driving Dino to do such, that was until she saw the fountain. She stopped in her tracks. The stones used in the mosaic where so lovely...and shiny. A rather unpleasant smile parted her lips. "How lovely..." Her mind was no longer on food and hunger but on those shiny stones. She approached the fountain, and pulled a large metal nail file from her pocket. One of those stones would be hers. She was about to try and pry a stone from its rightful place when she heard some foot steps. Quickly she stood straight up and tuned to where they where coming from.

It had been a long night. The blue cloaked figure panted a bit as he looked over the alleyway he was in, looking around for any other of those annoying yellow eyed beasts. His eyes went from one side and back to the other a few times, hoping he didn't miss anything that would potentually cause some annoyance sometime soon. It looked like things where safe for the moment, so he took some time to pick up each bit of munny he could find before putting them into his pouch.
A sightly annoyed sigh was released as he stood up, finished collecting the munny from this part of the area. Of course, his job wasn't finished, not by a long-shot, for the owner of the hotel made sure that his room was cheaper. Sadly, now that he had gotten rid of the heartless in the back alley, it was now time for him to search the front of the building for any of those annoying beasts. Making sure his appearance was nice, Nathan made his way over to the doorway that led out front, the Black Mage's yellow eyes shining in the darkness.
Walking out through the alleyway, Nathan thought he had heard something. He was in full alert now, his hand lifted as he continued stepping, not trying to alarm anyone or anything that was out in the area. Turning the corner, Nathan looked from one side to the other quickly, his eyes locking onto a pink-haired female by the fountain. This, he did not expect to see, causing him to blink once before taking more steps toward the teen. "Its dangerous out here, you know that?" He said, his voice a bit dark sounding, but not on purpose.

With a quick movement of her hand the file was gone. He would have had to been watching her hand the whole time and only her hand to have noticed. Though even if he did surely his first thoughts would not jump to she was trying to steal a shiny rock. It was just a nail file. "Its dangerous out here, you know that" Domino pressed her lips together. Was this guy for reals? Telling her that it was Dangerous? This placed seemed a lot less Dangerous then what she had just been through. After a few seconds she let out a giggle and shook her head. "I think I can handle a little danger." After she spoke she looked at him with a nice sweet smile.
"...so...if it is so dangerous out here, what are you doing by yourself?" Her voice was sweet as she asked him. As she did this she took him in. At least she took in what she could gather. He had a big hat. He seemed like he could be of some use to her right now. All thoughts of hunger and pain where starting to fade back to her since she knew with this guy around she wasn't going to be snatching herself a pretty stone. She locked her hands behind her back and rocked on her heels a bit as she leaned in his direction. Her smile was fading a bit as the feelings of pain where getting stronger. But Domino held the pained look back fairly well.
She knew that she only had this one chance to get this guy to find her ok. And she knew if she could do that then maybe he could help her get some food, and maybe a nice place to rest. Oh how good a hot bath and warm bed sounded. That would make this headache that was quickly returning quickly go away. But she couldn't focus on that right now. She knew her mind was drifting so she looked straight at Nate and held she sweet smile as she waited. But she had decided right there, she was going to do what she could to get his help. Something about him made him seem useful...or powerful....maybe both? Eh she wasn't sure, maybe she was wrong, but at this point he seemed like her only choice since she saw no others around her.

Nathan noticed not the small movement of her hands, his glaze concentrating on her face, trying to see if she was one of those Nobodies he had heard about. He rarely saw anyone out this early, let alone in the middle of the second district, so he was a little wary of her, focusing now on her entire appearance. She wasn't someone he normally saw around her, making her a new face as well as a potental threat. There was a strange machine on her arm, something that Nathan knew there was many of, although he didn't know what most machines did. She spoke, and he couldn't help but chuckle a bit, smiling at how her words seemed dangerous yet her face seemed gentle.
When she asked the question of what he was doing out here, the smile on his face shrunk a bit, not as if she could see it anyway. "I'm hunting heartless for the hotel owner... he gives me a discount on my room if I do this at least once every few days," Nathan spoke, waving his hand in front of his face as if to ignore what he said. Nathan looked back over at her, at least 10 feet away from her, not sure what she was up to at this time. She began to rock on her heels, a moment Nathan ready to strike, but stopping almost the same moment. Something seemed to change in her appearance, a small change, but he couldn't tell what it was and decided it wasn't anything.
Looking back at her face, Nathan spoke again, "Now that you know why I am here, why are you out here?" He asked, crossing his arms and looking at her. He was still curious as to why she was here, finding it lucky that Heartless hadn't appeared in this area yet. Although he spoke to her, he wanted to just get this job done, go back to his room, get a small warm snack and get back into his bed for another few hours. Sometimes he felt like an unoffical guardian of this strange dayless world. Sighing, Nathan waited for this entire thing to be over, most people who didn't know who or what he was eventually connecting him to the heartless in some stupid and uneducated way, making him want to just set their pants on fire.

She liked that he didn't have a huge story for an answer to her question. Because if it had been a story she would have not listened. But it was short so her attention, for once, was on his answer. Hunting Heartless. The little creeps. She made a face of disgust at the idea of the creatures. Hotel...that meant a bed. Oh how good a bed sounded. But she shook the thought when she heard him ask her another question. Two questions? Well she had just been stumbled upon, so surely a few questions where justified.
Domino pressed her lips together in thought. Why was she out here? Well she was trying to steal a pretty stone or two but she was never going to give him that answer. So she looked at him coyly and answered. "I don't really know..." it was partly true. So she went on. "I just woke up with a massive headache and a bump on my head in the third District and then got ambushed by the glowing eyed creeps. And so here I am..." She blinked as she looked at him. Her smile gone, in its place was a blank expression.
This expression she had was for a few reasons. The more she tried to think of a plan to get this guys help the more her head hurt. And the more she thought about this guy the more her head hurt and the more she wondered what his face looked like. Also she hated how the more she looked at it the more she seemed like a dame in distress who needed someone's help. Which was slightly true. She only had a but of munny at the moment and was in no condition to try and steal some from people, which she was seeing a lack of. Her face was stating to show herself disappointment and the worst part? It was also really starting to show her pain. She had been trying to think far to much.

Nathan's eye twitched when she said those 4 little words of 'I don't really know." He had no problems with her before hand, in fact, he thought that she was a pretty strange but alright girl. When someone 'didn't know' why they did something, it made them seem to be just a tiny bit stupid. Rubbing his forehead, Nathan did his best to ignore the small comment, just passing it off like he never asked about it in the first place.
The next things she said though, where a bit more interesting and made a bit more sense, at least by the standards of how things went in this crazy world. Though he was a bit taken back by the now blank expression on her face, trying to figure out what had changed in her expressions. "Well... you do seem a little beaten up... maybe you should find a place to rest or something..." He suggested, his hand now on his chin, looking at her.
Nathan just watched the slow deterioration of her smile into a slightly pained look. This morning might just be one of the more annoying ones he had in a while, if things continued on their current path. Maybe it was because he was that 'unofficial guardian' he thought of before, or just his simple feelings of unable to leave anyone who was hurt and had not tried to hurt him. Turning from the girl, his forehead and eyes in his hand once more, Nathan spoke words he hoped he'd not regret.
"As long as you don't cause me any trouble... if you wish to, you can rest and heal a bit in my hotel room.." Nathan grumbled, not even looking at her. Oh how at times he wished he could just snap his fingers and freeze his troubles away. "But only for a day or two. I don't want you squatting in my place and eating my hard earned food." He added, pointing at her. Turning toward the building, Nathan turned his head and spoke over his shoulder at her, "The name is Nathan, Nathan Coro, and if you don't hurry up, I'll take my offer back."

She froze at his words. What? Her plan had worked? She blinked and bit her lower lip as she went over his works in her head. 'As long as you don't cause me any trouble... if you wish to, you can rest and heal a bit in my hotel room..' Yes. 'Her Plan' had worked. A faint smile parted her lips. And with that her lips parted into something she never, ever said. Ever. "Thank you." The true sweetness of her voice came out in those words. Compared to the first words she spoke to him they might have sounded like music. And yet even though he said for her to come she just stood for a moment watching him. Frankly she was a little shocked about those two works that escaped her lips. She smirked at her own action. Maybe it was because she really knew that her plan was failed and that he was acting out of some kindness, or pity, of sorts. But what ever the reasons she knew she didn't care to think on it, and so Domino followed after him. It was as she followed him she realized he had mentioned his name, Nathan, but she had not reciprocated. "My name is Domino. Domino Revilin." Boy her name was a mouthful. "Most just call me Dino...or Rev." She said with a shrug of her shoulders.
Domino shoved her hands into her pockets as she walked. Feeling around for the bit of munny she had. Surely it would be enough for a meal or two. But what about getting her own room? Or a ship ride to some other place...Oh that was too much thinking the pain shot through her head and she squeezed her eyes shut for a moment. God she was being such a wimp today...or tonight...what time was it exactly? "Um...Nathan?" She swallowed hard. She sure was seeming like a dame in distress more so then she wanted to seem. Right then she decided once she was rested up she would show him she could handle herself. "What time of day is it exactly?"
She had stopped in her place and was looking to the sky when she asked. Coming from a town of constant twilight she would not be surprised to learn of the town in constant night. She was wondering if that was the case, which also made her wonder...could the power she looked for be in this town? She did not dwell on it long because her mind went exactly where it had been going to the whole time she had been here. What she was feeling..except there was one little tiny difference...Her mind now went to the guy who was in front of her. And also a wondering of what he was thinking of her. A thought that made Dino's hands a little sweaty, and a thought that made her only the slightest bit nervous.

Turning back once more at the word of thanks, Nathan looked at her with a strange look. Why did those words sound stranger then the other things she was saying? Was her injuries and exhaustion catching up with her or was she just trying to make him confused. Either way, he didn't like the sound all that much and just waved it off. "Right right, just don't make too big of a deal out of this, alright?" He said, looking back at the path in front of him, the door just a little bit of walking and up a few stairs.
He slowed down a bit as he turned around, seeing her standing there, as if waiting for something. He turned back and continued on, mumbling something about his luck or lack there of at the moment. A few steps up the staircase and walking along the path made him wonder how the back of the hotel was on a different side of the street, but he figured to question it would only make things more annoying for him in the long run. After all, it was a decent sized hotel and the pathway did take him a bit to walk to get behind it. Turning back, he smiled at her name and the nick-name of Dino, pretty much choosing his title for her. "Pretty name Domino... I think I'll go with Dino as well."
Jumping onto the railing and looking down at the water in the fountain, Nathan had wondered why it sometimes seemed to change after the bell-tower had rung. Was there magic to the fountain, or maybe he was just too tired from fighting heartless to even correctly see the image. Either way, it was an interesting thing about this world, one of the few interesting things at least. Hearing his name, he turned around and stopped, looking at the girl as she asked her question. "Hmm?" He questioned, hearing yet another strange vocalization of her voice. With her question spoken, Nathan turned his head to look at the clock on the clock-tower, the brightness of the white building a little annoying.
"Well, it looks like its about ten minutes before seven in the morning." He said, turning back to her. "Why'd you ask?" He questioned before stupidily answering his own question as she looked at the sky. "Endless night time... such a dark yet romantic sound yes? This is one of my more favorate of the worlds, due to never having to worry about the sunlight waking you." He said with a grin that wouldn't be seen. As it was, he still wanted to rest up, and with that, he motioned once again for her to follow. "Not much longer and you'll be resting, so hurry up let the heartless spring a trap." Nathan said, slightly commanding as he jumped off the edge of the railing, turning and moving to the door that was closest to his room.
He looked back briefly at the stranger who had came to this world, the pink-haired Domino. She had technology that he hadn't seen, something that to him, couldn't be trusted no matter what it did. Her hair was unnaturally colored, making him question the truth of the shade. All and all, the changes in her voice and facial expressions, they made him wonder even more about the strange woman following him to his room. These thoughts where quickly followed by a sigh and a forehead rub as he got to the doorway. A simple thought made itself clear in his mind. Why are the beautiful ones the ones that cause headaches?
