Locklin peered around at his surroundings for the second time since he and his friends had landed and departed from the Featherborn. He was a bit taken aback by his sudden change in appearance, but odd things were said to happen in Halloween Town, and Locklin decided that he would just lay off these subjects and focus on his present situation. The group he had been with had seperate with him a few minutes, leaving only the main road open to search. How lucky for Locklin. Far down the path, he saw that there was some kind of large water fountain, green from moss or slime. The road also was covered with a thin layer of some kind of slime, too, like the world was a giant mouse trap. To this right side, Locklin could see a rickety building about the size of two of him tall with a sign that was almost broken off. Upon closer examination, the sign's writing was indistinct anyways, so it looked like it said "Lo ' P a e". Seeing that this building had no features worth checking out right now, Locklin turned to his left, where a tall, narrow building stood. He now saw that his building was merely a clock tower with odd, crooked windows set at random intervals. In fact, Locklin could see that the stairs were equally crooked through the lowest window, some of them larger or smaller than the others.
Locklin raised his eyebrows, gave a muttered "Okaaay then.", and turned to the main road. Taking a step forward, he began his journey down the mucky cobblestones. He had been walking almost ten minutes before he noticed that he wasn't going anywhere at all. His feet were moving back and forth, but he was still right in front of the gate where he had began. Locklin moved his legs faster till he was running, then sprinting, but he moved absolutely nowhere. A cold feeling ran through his body, causing him to violently shiver as a white shadow passed through his vision.
"What the?!"
