Not since the footfalls of Auron had graced its blood-smeared stage had the Underdrome been abuzz with so much activity. In the bleachers a ghastly assemblage of monsters, demons, demigods, and departed souls fidgeted in anticipation, eager for the thrill of competition and the glory of combat. Blue flame torches burned brightly, placed so as to best illumine the arena's central floor... the large battlefield of flattened stone and dirt that would serve as the platform for the first round. Everywhere could be heard ghoulish shrieks of excitement... and those rose to a deafening cascade as Hades, the underworld's very own Lord of the Dead, appeared in a puff of smoke in center stage. "LADIES, GENTLEMEN! HELLIONS AND HORRORS OF ALL AGES!" His voice was dramatic, supernaturally amplified to fill the entire building. "The moment you've been waiting for is FINALLY HERE! That's right... THE DEATH WISH TOURNAMENT!!"The crowd erupted, drowning out everything in a sea of cheers and gleeful wails. Hades held up his hands, and slowly silence fell. "This is to be a contest like none other that has come before. Today, eight warriors from other worlds will clash upon this hallowed ground in glorious, merciless battle! The winner will take away their heart's desire: a single wish, granted by yours truly, the god of the underworld!"More cheers from the unnatural audience filled the stadium. "Now then, enough talk... LET THE GAMES BEGIN!"Amidst a fresh round of hollers, wails, and applause Hades vanished in another puff of smoke, re-appearing in an elevated box seat. A stout warrior, decked in red armor to match his scarlet glow, glanced at him as the grim death-god took the seat next to him. "Quite a display of showmanship." Ares mused, taking a bite of the large leg of meat he held in one hand. Hades conjured a martini glass and took a sip before responding. "Eh, what can I say? I have a flair for the dramatic. Now then," he placed the drink down next to him and pulled out a microphone from behind his chair. "And now, to introduce our first two contenders!" A puff of smoke deposited Jin and Lune onto opposite ends of the arena. "He's a rough-and-tumble martial artist who goes by the alias 'Golden Fists'. She's a young puppet-master with a mysterious past and a dynamo personality. Guys gals and ghouls, let's hear it for Mitsuomi Jin and Lune de Villefort!!"The audience roared, some for their chosen warrior but most in anticipation of a serious blood-letting. Hades settled back in his seat, giving a thumbs-up to Ares - who simply nodded and watched the two combatants. "And now, without further ado... LLLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUUUUUUMBLE!!"OPENING MUSIC: En Fuego (multi-song remix)

[Enough to pump a post out of me. XD]
Jin needn’t worry his silly little heart over hurting this girl. Well, that is once she’s ready he wouldn’t need to worry…
“Wah! Wait! Wait!” Lune cried, fumbling at the bag attached to her hip belt with her long sleeves, which was effectively getting in her way. She had been uncomfortably poofed from one place to another, a sensation she wasn’t quite use to. Not to mention all that blue smog had decided to lodge itself in her weak lungs. Coughing, she would desire a few seconds to get ready. After all, what’s the rush? All the while her opponent charged at her. But nooo, Mr. Smart Suit’s got his pants on fire.
“Wak!” At the man’s shout, giving the girl enough hints to at least get out of the way, Lune tripped over her bright red boots and was sent hurtling to the right side, coincidentally dodging the energy shot for now and tumbling into a roll. Sitting on the ground, she groaned and rubbed her poor head. The hood of her vest had fell away to reveal a pair of furry purple ears.
Grumbling she launched herself up with surprising agility for someone who had just been tripping and fumbling over herself. Slapping a sleeve covered hand over her right fist, which was hidden under striped cotton, Lune growled and pulled herself to her full height [which isn’t really all that tall when compared to Jin], a mad sneer on her face. Now she was ready.
“Come and gets it, Mr. Suit Smart!”
At her childish blundering challenge, the morbid crowd exploded into a roar of laughter and whooting. Not much betting would be going in this girl’s favor today…

Right as the girl was getting up after avoiding his pulse aura Jin would already be firing a blast of his energy once more.
Jin had expected that his opponent could have easily dodged his first attack, (even if it was all by accident) since his travels have shown him that there were many people who were very skilled in different ways. With that thought in mind Jin would have to fight smarter than just your average brawl with just hand to hand combat. Especially if you were competing in a tournament set by the very gods themselves. Jin would have to think ahead of the game.
So as the girl went tumbling down to the right side Jin took aim and right as she sprung herself back up, Jin fired the blue energy that he had gathered in his hands and fired it in one single wave of blue energy.

“Eep!” As soon as the challenge left her lips, Lune found herself head to head with another attack. Another one of those strange wave thingies. Standing perfectly still, Lune suddenly launched herself over the pulse intended to crush her bones, curled and rolling before landing behind the attack. As soon as she landed, she dashed towards the man, closing in distance. Before she could be within hitting range though, Lune slammed her right fist into the arena ground with a harsh cry. The ground around her erupted in a flamboyant roar and a wave of upturned earth rolled out from the center point, where she had slammed her fist. The wave would have been hard to avoid unless Jin jumped over it. All the while, dust and pebbles pelted the man, blinding him and hopefully hiding Lune from his sight.
All at once, the girl burst through the dust cloud, having jumped and targeted her opponent. Homing down on the man, she twirled, building up momentum and speed, then slammed the same fist at his face. If she had hit him, it would have felt similar to the force of a truck at top speed, all concentrated right into his face.
“Heads up!” She cried the late warning after she swung her arm.

After he missed his other attack, Jin would try to rush at Lune just as she was about to land from her flip but chose to wait instead. Lune landed over his attack and rushed towards him, then she slammed her fist into the ground causing the arena floor to rise up and send of wave of ground towards Jin. Instead of attempting to avoid the attack Jin balled his hands into fists and began pummeling the ground in front of him.
With each punch he crumbled the earth in front of him until there was nothing left, all the while dirt and dust would try to impair his vision as it hit his face. But even with his sight slightly crippled for the time being, Jin could sense the presence of his opponent perfectly. As she came towards him with her arm extended, Jins quick fighter reflexes allowed him avoid the strong punch by moving his head away from harms way. The girls arm passed by Jins face and instantly after avoiding her punch, grabbed her arm with his left hand and jerked her forward bringing up his fist right towards her face, performing a back fist punch. He would then let go of her arm and begin pummeling her with an onslaught of punches and kicks. Once done he fired a second Pulse Aura wave directly at Lune.

Oops.
The girl’s violet eyes widened in surprise when it seems her cover of dust and yucky lung choking grit didn’t seem to really leave an element of surprise. The man avoided her punch as if he had read her mind, and caught her by the arm. A painful look of astonishment was soon squashed by the punch right towards her cheek, literally. And then what does she do? Well, she did the only thing she could do. She coughed and spat in his face. Right in his eye, to be precise.
Whether this distracted Jin from his next barrage of attacks or not, Lune fell back, suffering from the damage she had been given. Normally, the whiney little girl would have been sprawling over the arena ground, refusing to get up. However, she needed to…she desperately needed to if she was ever going to find out.
Pushing herself up, Lune coughed a few more times, rubbing her cheek with her sleeveless hand, Lune moaned. “Owieee, that hurts lotsa!” Leaning back, the young woman looked as if she was suddenly about to fall onto her back.
But then…
She threw her entire weight forward, again slamming her fist into the ground. The area around her seem to expel forth dust and rubble, creating an antagonizing cloud of suffocating grit. Not to mention it’s near impossible to see things. Each miniscule, each grain bombards the senses, irritating eyes, clogging up scent, distorting sound. With the lack of circulating air, the annoying curtain of dust remained, effectively hiding poor Lune, who needed some sort of protection—though the dust itself is giving her a hard time and a horrible cough—and it should be enough to force Jin’s attention on something else other than Lune.

Jin felt bad for having to have done that. He felt worse since she spat at him but she had her reasons. He just wasn't the type to hit a lady. But he couldn't hold back, not for this tournament. Jin promised himself that after this win or lose, he would apologize to the girl for striking her. It was the least he could do, and he would leave this place without the burden of hitting a lady weighing heavy on his shoulders. He wiped the bloody spit from his eye and went back into fighting mode.
Lune looked like she had been knocked out by Jins bombardment of fists at first but soon flipped forward showing that she still had some fight left in her. It was surprising though, how she was able to still move after being hit by Jin, perhaps she was tougher than the concrete ground that Jin had crushed into rubble. Oh well Jin would have to overlook that for now.
Jin braced himself as she slammed her fists into the ground causing loads of dirt and rubble to fill the area around them. Jin didn't have time to be messing with this annoyance again. He held his arm out forward and fired another aura blast which was enough to blow the dust and debris away from his specific area. If he was lucky it might have hit Lune but it wasn't something he was expecting. Jin quickly fired another blast of his own gathered energy in the direction of where he heard her coughing. The wave of blue energy would be cloaked by the thick dust and debris making it hard for Lune to spot it right off the bat, and at the alarming speed it was going, it would have been hard to dodge since she was close by already.

(OOC: Northie and I have talked about this via PM, and... Akuma, the match is yours. Congratulations on advancing to the semi-finals! You can now put up your finishing post; remember, as the victor you can end the fight however you'd like, except no kills.
After he posts, the first match will be over! Next up is Asyun Vs. Kassom {Kaiserin Vs. myself}... but there's a twist! At Shinn's suggestion, two matches will be taking place simultaneously to help speed up the tournament and keep interest, so Guy & Silas {Heroic Bilby and Duck} will be fighting consecutively as well! Two fights, one ring!
... At least, that's what I hope for. However, since Kaiserin hasn't posted since February and Duck's seemingly been absent since the 1st of March... it might just be Bilby and I advancing by default. I'll PM them both, but if we don't hear anything within two weeks I suppose we'll just have to retcon them out... which means Shadow and Meiser could be up next!
Stay tuned for new developments! Akuma, next post is yours!)

Once Lune was hit by the blast of blue energy, Jin rushed over in her direction and grabbed her head. Using his strength he spun her head in the opposite direction ending her life instantly..... jk XD[/i]
Jins attack met with success causing intense damage to Lunes heart. Lucky for her, she would survive since his attack wasn't meant to kill her instantly. The dust cleared away and Lune was temporarily immobilized. Jin took this time to end the match with one more attack.
He held out his hand and fired one more aura blast in her direction. It was all concentrated into one single shot the size of his fist instead of a wave so the effect would center on a single target. It shot out from his hand and hit Lunes stomach. The force would be enough to knock her out thus ending the fight. She fell to the floor and was knocked out.
The crowd cheered on trying to get Jin to finish her off once and for all. But the warrior would not have this happen. He was a fighter, not a killer. He walked over to Lune and picked her up off the floor placing her on his right shoulder. He then looked over to where Hades was at to confirm his victory. "This fight is over..... take us back now."

The crowd roared, but not in approval. Booing and taunts resounded throughout the stadium, cries of "FINISH IT!!" and "KILL HER!!" being chanted by the Underworld's more bloodthirsty denizens.
"SILENCE!!"
The voice which boomed throughout the Underdrome came from the box seats where Hades had previously been seated, but as Jin looked he instead saw a stout warrior standing in the grim god's place, a powerful red aura radiating from him. Immediately a reverent hush fell over the arena.
The crimson god looked around, then addressed the crowds. "As Lord Hades is currently out addressing other matters, it falls to me, Ares, the god of war and bloodshed, to determine the outcome of this fight!"
With those bold words, Ares turned his gaze towards Jin. "You fought well and with honor. Victory is yours, young man!"
With a wave of Ares hand, a swirling cloud of flashing crimson came out of nowhere and surrounded both Jin and Lune in its embrace; moments later the haze parted, and the two found themselves back in the waiting room... with Ares standing in front of them.
"These Underworld rabble... it's amazing Hades can keep even a semblance of order in such anarchy." The war god remarked with a groan, then walked over and patted Jin on the back. "You have my respect, young man. There's no glory to be had in senselessly killing those who are no longer a threat." He looked at Lune's unconscious face then waved his hand towards her, causing a sparkling haze to descend and infuse her body with magical energies.
"She'll wake up soon enough with her injuries healed." Ares then turned to the rest of the contestants. "Now then... who's fighting in the next round?"
