This world wasn't so bad. Heck, if you looked around hard enough you could find all sorts of fun shenanigans going on. The Navy kept the town pretty law-abiding though. For real adventure you had to hit the open sea on a pirate ship, ready to cast your life into fate's hands and take what you could when you could get it. There was no telling how many strange and wondrous islands were out there, waiting to be discovered! And if anyone was crazy enough to go looking for the new and undiscovered it was definitely Eldin Chaosin!
"Zzzzzzzz...."
... or at least it would be if he weren't pretending to be drunk at the moment. He'd been having some fun in a bar and when everyone else started acting loopy well it just seemed like good fun for him to join in. Blood-alcohol level wasn't really a factor for the Nobody, especially given that the blood he did have was a powerful acid in its own right. So now here he was, lying face-up in an alley next to several smelly intoxicated fellows, wondering how long he was supposed to stay here sleeping after being thrown out of the establishment.

Drunkards lying in the streets?! Littering the area with smelling alcoholic filth!? How could the authorities allow such a thing! It must be cleaned up at once! Wake them, Shyne! Let's teach them how to be respectable citizens and..HEROES!
The voice was losing credibility with each passing day, warping into a familiar, yet erroneous memory. Well..it wasn't really a memory..rather a fabrication based on memories. Even more unreliable...but slightly comforting just the same. Her mind could never replace him, and that was good, right? Maybe she'd worry about her sanity if her mind help him perfectly preserved...or fabricated him perfectly.
..Or maybe she was already doubting her sanity simply because she was still hearing the voice...
Still yet, possibly she was doubting her sanity at this moment simply because she was a ninja most OBVIOUSLY in pirate territory. ...Stinkin' pirates. Shyne was sure her skin wound just lift off her body and crawl away.
Despite all this going on in her poor mind, she found her body moving on it's own in response to "Desura's" words, leaping off of the roof of a creaky building, one that made up part of the alley she'd been peering into. Landing soundly, she began her hollering, tempted to pinch her nose once she got a whiff.
"Get up! This is no place to sleep...Sober up! Go home! And for everyone's sake, clean up!"

The other men lying in the alley, each of them looking far more "at home" than Chaosin responded with little more than snores to Shyne's commands. Despite her fortitude they were simply, and literally, beyond her words at the moment. Of course, the Nobody was a different story. Chaosin's right eye perked open a little, taking in the view of the black-haired female wearing the long red scarf. Actually, when someone had come into the alley and started trying to get them up he'd wanted to try and see who could last the longest, but the familiarity of her voice had pushed that little game far, far away.
There were much more fun games to be had in this rare opportunity.
"Well now, aren't you a feisty one?" came an amused voice. Chaosin remained lying where eh was, both eyes closed again, but the clear tone he used was quite indicative that "drunk" was not the right word to describe him at the moment. "I've noticed most of the women 'round here aren't all that assertive... but then neither of us look much like locals, eh love?"
Actually, with his gi on, Chaosin might pass for a ninja himself in Shyne's eyes.... or at least a martial artist of some sort.

...Eh? Fiesty? Where was that amused voice coming from?
Shyne's head seemed to twitch to the side very slightly. She didn't show startlement that much, but such a twitch was the ninja's tell of being surprised. It was clear the voice wasn't one that belonged to the sloppy drunks she saw, so perhaps she should take a better look..
Her icy blue eyes skimmed the men, coming to one that didn't match. It coincided with the direction of the voice, yet the eyes were closed like the others. Someone was playing possum! He seemed more of an off world fighter...the garments were familiarly similar to that of some ninjas. Both her brows lifted and she came nearer, nudging his foot with the toe of her boot.
"You aren't drunk," she responded rather flatly with a blink of her eyes, nudging him again. Her goal of getting the men up and out of the alley was on hold for the moment. She wrinkled her nose. "If you don't get up...you'll smell like them. Ew.." she muttered, but her mind suddenly leapt from that idea to the next. Nowadays her train of thought was shot. Maybe Eldin Desura somehow possessed her after his death? That'd be awkward..
"Are you a ninja?"

"Ha ha! Ha ha ha! Ha! Ha ha!"
Playing possum no more, Chaosin broke up laughing, his mouth yelling his amusement loudly as his chest heaved from the oxygen being forced in and out.
"Well now, wouldn't that be something!?" he asked rhetorically. Chaosin's eyelids reeled back to let Shyne take in his deep red irises. "You've got the look of one of them yourself, love."

His eyes shocked her a little, almost as much as the sudden laugh that really almost made her jump out of her skin. Something felt unnatural, but eerily familiar. She couldn't put her finger on it, and at the moment, didn't want to. Perhaps it was best not to know.
"That's because I am one." she answered, adjusting the large red scarf around her neck. She was still getting used to wearing it. She didn't care if it didn't go along with her outfit.
"Anyway, why are you laying out here with the drunks?" she asked, lifting an eyebrow at him. What a strange man. Loud...tricky, possibly interesting, but maybe crazy since he was out here sleeping in the nasty alley with drunks when he was completely sober...
...He really was somewhat familiar. Wow.

"Because we all got thrown out together of course," Chaosin responded, as if that made perfect sense and settled the entire matter. Pulling his legs back it looked like the nobody was about to pe4rform a forward flip onto his feet.... but instead his body rolled to the side where he got his legs udnerneath himself and stood up normally. The silver-haired man wiped his clothes as if clearing the dirt, though he wasn't really doing anything he just thought it seemed like the gesture of the moment.
"Well then, have fun trying to wake the dead," he said with a snarky tone before giving a backwards wave to Shyne and walking off towards the street. Whoever he was it looked like the oddity was going to be on his way, without really answering her question no less.
"By the way, nice scarf," he yelled back as he left. Chaosin himself was also wearing a scarf, though a light blue one that was much thinner and short than Desura's old article of choice, so one could suppose he was simply acknowledging their similar fashion sense.

...He made no sense. It was welcoming for something to not make sense, though the snarkiness wasn't so welcome.
She quickly tried to wake the slumbering men, but she couldn't budge their consciousness. Giving up, she felt compelled to follow the strange man she'd just met. She had no trouble catching up to him.
"Thanks," she said, as if the conversation had never been paused. She peered at him. "You never told me your name.." she added, hinting that she wished to know what it was. He was the only person that wasn't a local she'd found so far on this terrible world. Why was she even here?
Oh head....to battle evil pirates and do other miscellaneous heroing.

"That's quite true," Chaosin said as he continued to walk down the road. She had spoken as if there had been no pause and he had answered as if she'd always been walking right beside him. It all seemed to balance out quite well. "So then, what will you call me if you don't know my name?"
The Nobody no longer sounded sarcastic, if one could believe it. When he asked the question he sounded like he was given an actual problem and now was standing still holding his chin. Chaosin looked upwards into the clouds of the night sky above Port Royal, thinking in hopes of finding an answer to the dilemma.... one that didn't involve his real name, at least.
"I got it!" he declared with a snap of his fingers, looking towards Shyne with a genuinely happy smile. "Call me Sparky! That's a good nick-name, right love?"
The Nobody gave the girl a huge toothy grin with his eyes closed while his hands made their way to his hips. it was a pose that Eldin Desura's body was quite used to.

"I could think of a better name than that Spark--"
Her words caught in her throat as he struck a pose, no, THAT pose. A rather disturbed expression crossed her face, followed by one akin to pain. Shyne found her hands gripping the free fluttering end of the tattered red scarf, all of these things only taking a second to happen before she recovered herself. That was a shock... She shook herself mentally, then responded with a grin herself. Part of her was overjoyed to see something that reminded her that much of Desura...while the other part of her that was trying to heal from the loss wanted to shy away. She'd go with the happy for now.
Clearing her throat, she restarted her sentence. "Sparky is a perfect nickname! How did you think of it?!" she played along, though it was hard for her to get over how much he had resembled her late very best friend for that one moment.

"Because I have such an electric personality of course!" Chaosin... I mean... Sparky explained, seeming to find that reasonable enough. he held his finger upwards in an elementary my dear Watson sort of way before turning away from Shyne again and continuing down the cobbled street. The Nobody hadn't exactly been unfriendly to the girl... but neither was he really inviting her along either. He just seemed to go along with whatever happened as if it was the natural thing to be happening. Of course, ninja don't often just start following people around like that.
I mean, they do... just not out in the open. And not for too long either if you catch my drift.
As he walked Eldin's shell brought his right hand to his brow and looked around, despite the fact that the night sky meant there was no sun for him to be guarding his eyes against. Apparently he just liked to use body language to an odd extreme.
"Now, which way to the harbour?" he wondered aloud.
It was probably in the direction of the huge water-filled bay and not in the direction of the large mountainous cliff face in the center of the island. But then, who can really be sure of such things when they're new in town? Certainly not Sparky, that was for sure.

"Bye Sparky.." the ninja girl mumbled.
Shyne hung back as he continued on, no longer following him. She didn't want to bother that eerily familiar stranger now called Sparky. A combination of things just seemed to remind her that she couldn't just follow everyone she wanted all the time. She'd done that once...insisted upon it. It didn't feel right to do it again, not with Sparky. She didn't even know his real name...and he almost acted more like a fruitcake than Desura. He didn't seem to see much interest in her anyway.
Well, when she decided not to follow him...she meant visibly. She had nothing better to do than to watch Sparky. If she wasn't interesting to him, that was fine...but he was interesting to her. She was fun to watch. So Shyne took to the rooftops and other various hiding places to observe Sparky. At least until she found some evil to fight.
