It'd been quite a while since Priscilla last traveled alone. She'd never been to Radiant Garden since it had changed from Hollow Bastion, and the word was to die for. Not the Priscilla heeded that much.
Her long search had ended a few years earlier. And that brought little to no solace. Now she was permitted a bit of time off. As if. Priscilla knew what she was doing.
"Is this what I am to be...?" She muttered quietly, quite pathetically. Her response though was as contradictory as her intent. Too many things were going on with her to set straight. She looked off into the canyon and heard the water trickle from the fountain, at least the calm setting helped her relax.

Tifa didn't have anything for Marlene to do, to help with. Everything was fine at 7th Heaven, nothing needed to be tasted. Everything was in place, so there was nothing for the young female to do. Though, she was always so ever so eager to do it. Every other child would of been reluctant to help around at the house, instead all they really wanted to do was play. Marlene was one to not be found playing with these things called 'toys'. She may or may not have a doll or two, who was to know if she did or didn't. Denzel was also helping out, but Marlene thinks that he went to go play with the other kids. Running about Radiant Garden since it had been newly restored.
Marlene had resorted to walking around Radiant Garden, Tifa had pushed her out of the bar and told her to go and have fun. Right. Fun. What was fun anyways? Tasting foods and drinks, and new smoothies and treats was fun to Marlene. It was always fun to her. She liked helping out. But there were no new smoothies to taste. Nothing to do. Not even cleaning! It was quite ridiculous. A ever so silent sigh crossed the young girl's lips as she looked up at the sky. "I like helping out....." She said to herself as she came upon the area near the fountain. It was always calm, the sound of the water trickling down.
She saw a person. A lady. She was pretty, and wore some kind of armour. Kind of like the armour Cloud wore. Did she know Cloud? If she did, why hadn't Marlene ever been introduced to her? She walked, quietly. Silently. "Hallo, Miss." She said, confidently. Almost shyly though as she walked up to her, near the fountain. She loved the fountain, she sometimes ran her hands underneath the water. Marlene was one to not be afraid of adults. She might eve be an adult herself, mentally...kind of?

Priscilla turned her head, a bit taken back by this young girl. The memories that flashed in her mind.
"Hello." Priscilla greeted her as warmly as possible. Children brought out a kindness she didn't feel was possible in her. "Do you live here?"
Not much of a greeting. Children were always honest though. At least Priscilla wanted to think that. This girl was upfront enough.

The lovely, pretty woman turned towards Marlene as she stepped forward closer to her, but not too close. But close enough. Whether it was close or not, Marlene didn't care. Or mind. People were people. Marlene smiled at the woman in armour as she greeted Marlene back. The woman was very kind, so far. "Yes, but I used to live somewhere else. With Tifa and Cloud. 'N sometimes Papa comes to see me." Marlene said straight out, forward. Like she had nothing to hide. Nothing to fear. Did she?
"I haven't seen you 'round before. Do you live here? Visiting?" Marlene asked the lovely, nice, pretty woman. Marlene looked towards the fountain, there were no creatures inside. No fish. Maybe she should ask Tifa if they can get fish to put into the fountain. It would brighten the place up. Make it more friendly. She would add that to her to do list. I don't think Marlene has a to-do-list though. She just does things as they come to her.

"Just visiting, though I've been here before." Priscilla answered, watching the young girl. "It reminds me of where I grew up."
Priscilla was being mostly honest. There was an open feel here that was much like her homeland, however this place was by far much more peaceful and stable. Plus she wanted to continue talking to this child.
"I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Priscilla."

"Who you visiting?" The young child said to the nice, pretty, honest woman. "Where'd you grow up?" She was much too eager to know things about this woman, she hadn't even come across the woman's name yet.
I'm Priscilla.
"My names Marlene. Marlene Wallace." She said to Priscilla, that was a nice name. A pretty name for a pretty woman. Marlene noted the armour again, she wondered if she was fighting the darkness like Tifa and Cloud, and all the others were. Marlene could never help in that area, they said it was much too dangerous. But, Marlene wanted to help. She always wanted to help. She looked up at Priscilla and smiled.

Priscilla smiled and sat down by the fountain. "Visiting? Sadly I'm not, I travel a lot on my own. A long time ago, where I grew up, the beings there decided I wasn't allowed to come back. I don't think I can remember why honestly myself."
Marlene Wallace? That's a pretty name. Your father and mother must love you very much." The feys word's were true. This girl had warmed up to her just like most children did with anyone, and in response Priscilla relaxed. It helped her focus on something besides her actual intent. Then a certain word Marlene had said caught Priscilla's attention. Cloud. If she could focus on him...and perhaps it would be ok.
"Marlene, did you say Cloud? Do you know him?"

"That's terrible, no one should ever make such accu-sations." Marlene said to Priscilla, having a bit of trouble with the last word but she knew it well enough to pronounce it. Marlene sat besides the woman, by the fountain. Her brown eyes looked into the water, looking at her reflection as she listened to the woman's words.
"Papa loves Marlene very much." She kind of bursted out. Marlene couldn't comprehend what a father and mother really were. But she knew Papa loved her, and Tifa and Cloud. They were a big family, along with Denzel. All the members of AVALANCHE were like family to the young girl, it was all she had ever really known in her life thus far. The closest thing she had to a mother was Tifa.
"Mmmhm." The girl chimmed. "I live at 7th Heaven with him and Tifa." Marlene said to the woman, smiling up at her warmly. A bright, happy smile on her face.

"Yes, that's right." Priscilla said with a smile, looking down at her hands while a shadow was cast on her eyes. Something bothered her, and her face was the only clue to what. Marlene could not see this, Priscilla did not want to give this child any hint of adult worry.
She raised her head and looked away. "Cloud...he and I knew each other a long time ago. I guess I came here to see him Marlene." She couldn't stay honest with herself. So she made a lie. Even Marlene would have seen the lie on Priscilla's face, but without it her voice was convincing.
At the same time Priscilla had been connecting with Marlene. A special ability of hers to remember someone by, know them with, delve in their mind...Priscilla could only keep one thing, and she knew what is was. Every moment she shared with Marlene she drew closer to it. To the end she'd avoid it, and instead focus on Cloud. Maybe there was a chance.
Priscilla turned to Marlene, her smile back. "How is Cloud doing Marlene, does he still want to be a SOLDIER?"

The young girl couldn't sense, or see the worry the woman held in her eyes. She just thought everyone was happy, the world was well, wasn't it? So she didn't go off asking if everything was okay, instead she kept with the conversation. "Cloud's not here.." She said to Priscilla, her voice a bit down. Cloud was never around that much, when he was he usually slept or something, and didn't hang around with Marlene, or Tifa or Denzel. He was supposed to be watching over them after all. It had been a few says since she had seen Cloud.
"He's busy as usual..." She said to Priscilla as she glanced down at the water again. "..Soldier?" she asked.

"Oh, I see. Somethings never change." That was certainly the Cloud she'd heard of and been told about. "Well, when Cloud was younger he wanted to be a SOLIDER, so he could protect Tifa. He admired his hero, a SOLDIER. But that was a long time ago, and knowing him he wouldn't talk about it much." Priscilla laughed and turned to Marlene.
"I'm sorry, I'm asking you so much. Are you curious about me? Don't be hesitant to ask anything, you've been very kind in answering my questions."

"He doesn't talk about anything much.." Marlene said to her, kind of annoyed by the fact that she actually doesn't know much about Cloud. His past, etc, etc. She looked up at the female, who she had noted earlier is wearing armor. She tilted her head to the side, and saw a sword on her back.
"Are you a warrior like Cloud? You both wear the same kinda armour.." Marlene asked Priscilla, her head still tilted examining Priscilla's sword.

"Me? Yes. Though I don't fight for the same reason." Priscilla wondered how far she could spin this and what exactly to use. "I never entered SOLDIER, I'd never have made it. I was happy when I heard Cloud made it into SOLDIER."
Priscilla stopped for a moment, laughed, then leaned near Marlene. "Can I tell you a secret about Cloud? I don't think he'd have told you this." She whispered as if she were giving Marlene a message from a spy while pretending to be on the lookout for anyone near them. "You can't let him know who told you either! Just between the two of us ok?"

"Well...I think Cloud's part of..AVALANCHE, working with Papa and all the others." She said to Priscilla, adding what she knew of Cloud to the conversation but for such a young one as herself, she couldn't unserstand what SOLDIER and AVALANCHE and ShinRa were, she just knew that Papa and Cloud and Tifa and Yuffie and Red all protected others together, well maybe not at the same time but they had the same, uh, motives right?
"A-A A secret about Cloud!?" Marlene said ever-so-eagerly. She looked at Priscilla wanting to hear this. "Ok! Marlene promises just between Marlene and Priscilla." She said to her, happily. She would keep her promise, to not tell Cloud who had told her... 'this secret' about Cloud. She stared at Priscilla waiting for her to tell Marlene the secret.

"Well see, Cloud never actually made SOLDIER....he's really embarrassed admit it. Don't let him know though! It took forever for him to admit it to Tifa." Priscilla smiled as she told Marlene, the child's enthusiasm delighted her. She had said a bit too much, but Priscilla figured Marlene would be wondering more about Cloud than Priscilla's deep knowledge.
"Marlene, have you ever traveled before?" Priscilla kept her smile on her face, a face and expression that certainly would melt anyone's heart.
