Age: unknown. Appears to be 17.
Gender: Male
Race: Nobody
Alignment: Neutral
Origin: Paeti – A pleasant, peaceful world. Approximately one-hundred years ago a noble family managed to unite the people and settle for peace. The entire world then ventured forth to become a powerhouse of prosperity and wealth. The climate is mild and easy to adjust to, with bustling cities and humble villages. Paeti is known for her diverse geography, from raging oceans and icy mountains to blazing deserts and savage grasslands. From time to time, there are border skirmishes between the countries. Nevertheless, the culture is rich and deep, the people are hospitable, and the wildlife is plentiful. Really, it’s an ideal place to catch your breath and relax…

Sub Abilities:
- Fireball - the usual projectile attack of fire-users. Kamui's flames are thrown in two fashions. The first as one large sphere about two feet in diameter, traveling in one direction for 25 yards. The second is fist-sized and can hone in on an opponent for up to 15 yards - it otherwise just flies straight for 25 yards. Up to one large fireball or three small fireballs at once. Takes one magic-less post to recharge.
- Spark! - Kamui can release foot-sized clumps of sparks that can bounce around. Meant for close-range use, the limit of three bounces has a range of 1 foot per bounce. He mainly uses it as a way to counter an opponent. Limit of four sparks at once. Takes one of my posts (without using it) to recharge all four, as it takes a fairly small amount of effort and the damage it deals isn't very high.
- Threads of Flame - Kamui is able to manipulate fire into fairly thin tendrils (no more than the thickness of an average human wrist) and extend them into 10-15 feet long whips. These are then used as normal whips as he swings his arms around. However, the fire can also speed up movement if he wills it with his mind. Being fire, the length can be interrupted if there is something closer than ten or fifteen feet to him - it wouldn't wrap around an object like a normal whip. Therefore, he can't use these to make an opponent come closer. The upside to this is the trail of sparks left behind as the fire burns in the air - like carrying a sparkler! Can be sustained for three of my posts. Takes two of my posts (without using it) to recharge the flames. It's not big enough to do serious damage unless if the opponent is vulnerable to fire.

History:
Ansem wasn’t the only one to study the worlds of Darkness and Light.
A scholarly man named Sagittarius on the isolated world of Paeti discovered a small, yellow-eyed black creature while wandering outside of his laboratory. Intrigued and appalled at its instinctual actions in attempting to specifically attack his chest, Sagittarius captured it. He kept it in a fortified cage for safe-keeping. It was like nothing he had seen before – his colleagues could not name it either, and feared it to be a demon from Hell as it recoiled from only the purest and brightest of lights. Appearing to not need any form of nutrient, it was easily forgotten in the corner of the lab and remained a mystery.
A year later, the man’s young apprentice chanced upon the caged creature. She took pity on the black thing, lonesome in the room, and fully embraced it when she opened the cage…
The girl’s screams echoed through the building and everyone that heard it rushed to its source. Sagittarius himself re-sealed the creature (which looked larger than it did before), leaving him to deal with the strange, flexible silvery humanoid that had suddenly appeared. After a grueling chase, he caught this one as well and placed it in a similar seal as the black one. Sagittarius’ options were running low except to study the two to get rid of them. More than ever, he was sure that they were somehow connected and that the now-missing girl was also linked to them.
Sagittarius proceeded to test the creatures, conducting complex experiments regarding their relation to Light. The conclusion he reached? Only that Light was the sole weapon that could be used against them. He could perceive that much (as he almost destroyed the black specimen) before turning to matters of Darkness. If they were so obviously not linked to Light, then perhaps they were linked to Darkness. The scholar obtained astonishing results after much patience.
There were two forms of Darkness.
One of these was the Heartless-Nobody connection that also related to the Light of Kingdom Hearts. Discovering this relation led him to destroy the Dusk that was his former apprentice out of pity. The second discovery was a different force that he named “Shadow”. Shadow was not malevolent, as opposed to Darkness, but was simply the balance to the kind of Light that could be considered as “just existing”. More neutral forms of Light and Dark, if you will. But it was clear that the creatures that he had in captivity were of the Darkness and not of Shadow. Frightened by the breakthroughs, the other scientists fled from the lab’s remote location. Sagittarius was left alone to wonder how to attain Shadow.
Unbeknownst to the man, his continued investigations prompted a leak of Darkness into his own heart – comparable to Xehanort. At the rate he was going, Sagittarius’ mind deteriorated to insanity before he could finish his projects. His Heart was losing its purity, and his body was rapidly aging. With one precious moment of clarity, the scholar magically triggered an explosion of Light that was supposed to destroy the lab’s contents and seal it from the outside world. He was hoping to keep others away from the damaging effects of Darkness, and he eventually died soon afterwards from those same effects mixed with the high concentration of Light.
What were the other projects, left unfinished by the death of Sagittarius?
The majority of them, including the Shadow Heartless, failed, the equipment either ceasing to function without someone to monitor them, or completely damaged from the explosion. The last of his studies managed to survive. Code-named “Shadowmancer”, it utilized Shadow instead of Darkness like the other experiments. It didn’t look too important, or invested in, and certainly lacked the complex setups of its neighbors. Perhaps that was what allowed it to survive. Specially designed barriers surrounded it to physically protect it and keep Light and Darkness from contaminating it (even though the project started out as a small aura of Darkness). Following Sagittarius’ death, the devices that were feeding equal amounts of Light and Darkness into the chamber for the experiment continued its programmed routine.
It had been three years since the lab was reduced to rubble. Towards the end of the three years, it began placing a slightly larger quantity of Darkness into it. Eventually, the device shut down by itself to allow Sagittarius to make observations and collect data before being started up again manually. But he was dead, leaving the experiment ample time to awaken in the lapse of not being “fed”. The emergency mechanisms attacked to the chamber were set off when the thing inside tried to emerge, and it fell asleep for an additional three years. The world of Paeti would not be lucky a second time, and the small room opened its doors to reveal…
A fairly normal but good-looking young man of perhaps his late teens. Sagittarius, if alive, would most likely have been thrilled to see some result – though not one he was expecting. Shadowmancer’s objective was to find a way to utilize Light and Darkness at the same time. Additional parts of Darkness would keep it from being swallowed by the more vicious element. Obviously, this wasn’t the case. Sagittarius had somehow created something else…
He had synthesized a Nobody.
This Nobody was very human, implying that the Light source was extremely pure, yet was unable to use the powers of Light. After the Nobody began to stray a few days in the lab’s ruins, it could be carefully noted that it – or he – could withstand fair amounts of Light but not use it. Like other Nobodies, it could be guessed that he could use Darkness though he stayed away from the remaining pieces of working equipment after getting zapped a couple times.
After getting bored at his laboratory location, the Nobody wandered through the nearby forest for a few weeks before reaching civilization. Bearing a dirty, well-worn outfit that could be considered as a futuristic training suit, the Nobody was found by a group of travelers. They took him in, clothed, cleaned, and attempted to feed him. He was quiet, with bright eyes that were wary of their surroundings though highly curious. Little would these travelers know that he was observing them, trying to remember their movements in order to blend into his surroundings. His mind connected the pieces quickly when one man asked him his name. The Nobody spun one out from the corners of who knows where.
Kamui Vliomani, “Shadowmancer”.
Deeming him to have some sort of amnesia, Kamui could not say where he came from, where his parents were, how he got there, or what he was even wearing before they found him. He pointed them in the general direction of where he had originally walked from – though no one found the ruins of the lab, as if it had been swallowed by the magic of Paeti itself. The travelers took him to the city, where they dropped him off and Kamui was left to fend for himself.
He was a great artist, a talented musician, and all-around wonderful to be with. Kamui saw no end to part-time jobs to keep him blending into society. There were females, though he saw no interest in anyone. Really, it was as if he couldn’t really relate to them. What was he? Who exactly was he? And it was a great question – where did he come from? Kamui sought answers, and he knew he wouldn’t find them in Paeti, though he had found a way to act like the other people around him. He knew he wasn’t human, so he’d act like one until he obtained an answer. A Gummi ship heading off on an exploration piqued his interest. After saving enough money, Kamui managed to sign up on the trip, saying a final goodbye to the city he still didn’t know the name of. He didn’t even look back once.
The trip to space was peaceful. However, he had little expectations so it would be easily assumed that whatever he saw would amaze him anyway. Then the ship was attacked – it rocked violently before spiraling down to a nearby planet and crashed. When he awoke, Kamui found himself eerily alone. And eerily able to recall the sense that he hated those that attacked him. These, he’d find later, were the Heartless. But why did he dislike them so much? Kamui had crash-landed alone in Hollow Bastion, where the sun was golden and buttery and the evenings were cool and pleasant, with many places to look around. For some reason, he felt that he would find answers there…
Talking to the locals gave him little information besides that there were indeed Heartless and Nobodies. The world had even been installed with defense mechanisms to protect the town. Kamui settled for a little while, finding experience in battle when he accidentally wandered into the Great Maw on his own. He further honed his skills when he awoke the power to use the basic element of Fire. It made Kamui question himself, he had never been violent before, and he had never had battle experience. Kamui was alone, without aid, and used to it. It made one wonder how he managed to enjoy his life – and he appeared to very much like immersing himself in human company even though he wasn’t human…
There was one secret to it.
Kamui retained bits and pieces of memories from the moment he set foot outside of the chamber in the lab ruins. There was one journal that he managed to salvage and memorize from front to back and front again. Sagittarius was a name he felt that he was familiar with, and he or she left notes scribbled within the book that supplemented Kamui’s knowledge even before he discovered what Keyblades were. The book’s words were enough for him to know that the information contained in the pages were crucial to finding who he was. Was he supposed to find Shadow? How come the locals of Hollow Bastion did not know of it? Did Shadow really exist, and was Sagittarius creditable? A single sentence – a single quote – kept him going:
Never doubt in the Light what you saw in the Darkness…
You'll always have your Shadow beside you and another Light to see it.

-----------------------
Appearance:
((picture will come later.))
Physical Features: Kamui stands at a height of about 5’10” and weighs roughly 135 pounds. He is lean and lightly muscled, though it belies his true strength. Despite his height, age, and build, he isn’t wiry or gangly. Instead, one could consider Kamui as carrying himself with a sort of humble dignity, with a polite posture that conveys gentlemanly conduct. His skin is light with the barest hint of a tan for a pleasant tone (avoiding the pasty, pale look). Kamui appears to be graceful with his actions, bearing a glide more than a walk, with regally long fingers and well-proportioned feet.
Facial Features: This Nobody has bright, orange-gold eyes and a shock of silvery hair. However, he has a sort of a boyish look to his face, as if he hasn’t fully settled into adulthood. Kamui thinks his hair is absolutely unmanageable, as it is a fairly short-medium length and sticks up at odd angles (you may see him trying to finger-comb it back down). His eyes shine with brilliant intelligence, expressive and full of life, the color of the irises becoming darker at the rims in a gradient fashion. He’s got a finely shaped nose with soft, delicate lips that are most often found in a gentle half-smile. Admittedly, Kamui is very cute!
Clothing: This Nobody doesn’t sport the cliché attire of black-robe-with-silver-zipper that everyone seems to run around in. Instead, he’s often found in his favorite black outfit. Kamui’s shirt is fitted yet comfortable, seamless, running halfway up his neck and with full-length sleeves, the shirt itself extending slightly past his waist. The pants are a little more loose than the shirt, running all the way down to his ankles to cover a portion of the black, plain shoes on his feet.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles: To avoid looking absolutely boring in black, Kamui wears a flowing, long sand-beige colored cloak with a golden pattern that resembles a mix of spirals and edgy shapes. Clasped at the neck with a crescent moon-shaped metal pin, it gives him ample protection against the elements and shelters his general features with an oversized hood. On his hands, he wears comfortable black gloves, where the middle and index are full fingers and the rest being partially-fingered. Lastly, a belt is wrapped low about his waist, with a small pouch attached on the side for items, both the same color as the cloak. Another strap goes over one of his shoulders across his body to bear his swords.
Personality:
Resolve: Kamui knows that he isn’t a normal human, he’s quite aware that he is a Nobody. Yet, being who he is, he wants to be able to find a way to live peacefully and happily without seeking the obvious alternative of obtaining a heart or killing himself… Though, being laid-back, it frequently looks like he lives just for the sake of living.
Pursuit: Personally, Kamui believes that a little bit of his humanity remains with him. Often pushing himself to the physical and mental limits when alone, he wonders if he will ever achieve the dreams he has hidden in the back of his mind. Kamui searches for something, and it’s never clear as to why he does what he does. Really, it feels like the Nobody goes with the flow and that his missions are sitting on the backburner, patiently waiting their turn…
Fears: Being a Nobody, Kamui generally isn’t capable of experiencing emotion. However, he has this profound hesitance in getting into “close relationships” with others. He can deal with being an ally and a loose friend, but anything more than that will make him withdraw. He also dislikes getting close to lips, for some reason, and has never been kissed.
Hopes: Bizarrely enough, he would love to become stronger for the sake of being able to protect himself and move on with life. The lifespan of a Nobody is unclear, but Kamui is definitely sure he’ll have plenty of time to see wondrous things and meet interesting people. So, might as well live.
Hobbies: Connecting to his “hopes”, Kamui can do a variety of intriguing things. He loves to read and write, and is a skilled artist (prefers pencil) and can cook very well. His hands are dexterous, giving him amazing talent at the piano, the violin, and handbells. Kamui enjoys watching the sky (especially if birds are flying by) and also doesn't mind sitting and listening to just his thoughts. Continued observation and training in this manner led him to be a smart tactician and strategist. Moving onto weird things... he can shoot a bow with his feet, hold his breath for two-ish minutes, is ambidextrous, can raise one eyebrow at a time, wiggle his ears, and learns very quickly. But it's not like he does all of these things daily, or at once.
Public Personality: Kamui usually avoids interaction, though he is actually a very pleasant person to be around. A gentleman, his words are polite and carefully selected. He'd much rather stay in the corner of the room and not do anything to draw attention. When he's dragged out into the open, he can always manage to display a kind and gentle half-smile. If one looks closely enough, you could see that his expression is well-practiced to imitate the real thing and that there is never a laugh to go along with it. Even then, you can see Kamui tries his best to be "nice", as Nobodies cannot feel emotions. He’s very adaptable.
Private Personality: This Nobody doesn't care about others, and hardly pays attention to his own wants. In an existentialist manner, life looks very pointless, as he doesn't know why anyone would ever think that they exist for a set-in-stone, single reason. Instead, he strongly takes the situations he is in and makes it his own, a tolerable thing that he'll make the most of. As laid-back as he might seem, the gears in his head are always turning, always functioning for... something. He keeps his own counsel and doesn't trust anyone. Kamui is like a wounded beast - he likes to be alone to help himself, and if anyone approaches him with assistance, he'll fight to not accept it. He's lonely, deep inside, but he won't open up because he thinks no one will care.

Weapons:
Weapon Name: Espadas de la Noche (Swords of the Night)
Weapon Description: The name is fitting for such weapons. The blades are made of a mysterious metal, lost even to the knowledge of history. Hard enough to not be broken easily, yet loose enough to withstand shock of recoil and impact, they are a deep midnight black and shine like ebony. The title was given for the way that their dark edges cleave the air, like deadly lines of dark night across the sky. These twin swords are long and slender, katana-like and beautiful.
Unique Notes: Easily fitting together to give the illusion of having only one blade, the Espadas are worn together across his back, with the handles coming up over the right shoulder.
Abilities:
Base Ability:[/b] Fire. One of the basic elements, it is aligned with offense techniques and is balanced by the defense techniques of water-types. Superior to earth-types and complementary to air-types. Kamui manipulates fire with ease, but his use of it isn't as potent as it could be. (Magic Attack: 2, Magic Defense: 1)
Sub Abilities:

Kamui is overall a very average person, specializing more in offense than defense. But he is by no means completely vulnerable, having decent speed paired with reflexes. His fighting style is usually passive, taking the second strike. Second strike may sound lame most of the time, though Kamui prefers safety of his life over victory (ironically). He knows when to strike first though, and you better watch out if he does!
