Physical appearance ~ [What your character looks like. This can be anything about your character's appearance, like height, weight, facial features, hair, etc. Provide at least enough sentences to give other members the opportunity to visualize your character.]: Silas is a compact, wiry man and has an almost feral air about him. His body is sleek and powerful with a thin frame that seems all sinew and bone despite skin stretched taut over well-defined muscles. The man moves with a purposeful gait that could almost be called a prowl, gliding silently along as if ready to explode into action at a moment's notice. His mannerisms speak of restrained power and, while his hands motion slightly as he talks, his voice is a deep bass tone that seems completely opposite to his lithe frame. Rising to a height of 5'7" the former Royal Guard's animilastic appearance is further enhanced by a face that is dominated by sharp angles; High cheekbones and a narrow chin offset a small, hooked nose and a pair of slanted ice-blue eyes. The man's dirty blonde hair reaches down to the small of his back and is woven into a tightly braided ponytail with a miniature obsidian hawk woven into the last inch. Numerous scars, both of claw marks and ordinary weapons, criss cross his back, chest, and arms. They range from poorly healed knots of scar tissue to pale white lines, but they all speak of a life spent in constant battle. A jagged scar, bothing more than a white strip of flesh, runs across from the corner of his lips all the way to his right earlobe.
Clothing/Accessories ~ [Anything your character wears. Please provide enough information for other members to visualize your character. *NOTE* Clothing is not optional.]:
Silas's garb is a unique blend of the antique and modern rolled into a single package. A dark blue Stedson sits atop his head, it's broad rim barely revealing his eyes, while a button-up, short-sleeved black shirt covers his torso. His legs are covered by a pair of black pants, with pockets at both hips, just abose the left knee, and in the middle of the right shin, that fall loosely down to a pair of sturdy, yet normal, work boots. A duster covers the entire outfit, colored a blue so dark its almost black, with a hem that brushed against the heels of the man's boots and sleeves that end in rolled sections fastened by a single button at the man's wrist. The emblem of the Royal House Lark, a black hawk on a circular blue background, is sewn on the back of the dusters right shoulder and the breast of his shirt, while a hawk's talon clutching an ornate cross adorns the front left of the duster's shoulder. The man's uniform is always immactulate and unruffled, though the duster and boots show obvious signs of aging.

Behavior ~
Before the destruction of his world by the Heartless, Silas was a dedicated bodyguard to the ruling body of his home and the man defended both property and person with equal zeal. He was a peerless individual with a sharp mind and a sharper tongue who took his sacred duty seriously. The man was unflappable, equally deadly with sword and mind, and honored as one of House Lark's elite guard. However, when the Heartless struck his world and left him in Traverse Town, his failure all but destroyed the man's confidence and left him a broken shell of his former self. The man took the blame for his entire world falling and the death of the Lark Princess under his guard, personally and his defeat destroyed both his pride as a royal guard and all but the smallest amount of confidence in his person.
Since his arrival in Traverse Town, Silas has wandered the worlds in search of a new house to guard, a new purpose. He is constantly overwhelmed with a feeing of utter hopelessness, his only purpose in life destroyed along with his world, and lapses into dark anger at even the slightest provocation. These moods are offset by sporadic fits of iron-willed determination sparked off by his innate desire to protect something and drives him against overwhelming odds, be it mass amounts of Heartless or a burning building, in an effort to regain the sense of purpose he lost the day his world ended. Silas travels from world to world in a constant search for redemption for his failure to House Lark, a protector without a charge.

[Please give a brief, physical description of the weapons your character wields. Provide at least enough for another member to visualize the weapons. *NOTE* Weapons can have additional abilities, but they must be put in the abilities section.]
Stargazer: Stargazer is the blade forged by the master blacksmith of the Lark house and imbued with strengthening magics to aid it's wielder in their cause. The hand-and-a-half sword is nearly five feet long from pommel to tip, the blade itself slightly over four feet. The blade glitters like a thousand tiny stars were forged into it, an effect that only intensifies under direct light, while the hilt is wrapped in plain leather under black cloth. A sapphire nearly two inches in diameter caps the pommel and it seems to catch and hold light in it's facets rather than reflect it.

AP: 4
Shadow Dance:
Silas calls upon the magic in his sword and released up to three floating copies of the glimmering weapon. These "shadows" are fully tangible objects that are controlled mentally. When they fade, they explode in a brilliant flash of light.
Strength: Moderate
Uses: Four posts after summoning
Immovable:
An ability taught to all Lark Royal Guards, Silas plants his feet and uses his own magic to anchor himself to whatever his feet are touching. While anchored, it requires a powerful attack to dislodge the man, though he is rooted to the spot and requires several seconds to un-anchor himself. If anchored to a moving object, Silas will follow the object as it moves, regardless of it's speed.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Three times per thread, cannot move for one post after anchoring.

[Here is where you will record the tale of what has happened to your character so far. Please include all the background information that you feel necessary, but make sure it is believable to have such a character in Kingdom Hearts. Ten sentences minimum.][/blockquote]
The Royal Guard on Meridia were bred, literally, from birth for their positions. Always the children of the previous generation of protectors, each child was raised alongside the individual they would protect and trained rigorously from the age of ten onward. Silas' life was no different. His father had served as a guard to a minor noble of the Royal house and the boy was destined to guard the daughter of his father's charge, a girl named Constance. His early life started out in much the same way as any other Royal Guard and, from birth to the first years of his training, the growing boy looked like yet another ordinary Guardsman. He and Constance played together as children and, when his training began, the young princess would watch as he was drilled on how to use a sword, how to best protect his charge, and all the other aspects of his harsh physical training. What she did not see were the endless classes on strategy, on the history of the Royal Guards and notable persons from the past. Silas was groomed into a perfect bodyguard for his charge and when he completed his training at age eighteen, it was only just in time.
Months after Silas took up the mantle and uniform of the Lark Royal Guards, war broke out. An anarchist organization brought swift and surprisingly brutal war to every corner of the Lark matriarchy, aided by foul black beasts that seemed to be summoned from the pits of heck itself. The world of Meridia was thrown into strife over the course of a year and, as the anarchists and their "Heartless" pets brought the Lark house to its knees. Silas soon found himself escorting his dearest princess from town to town while enemies hounded them every step of the way. He became a legend among the surviving Guardsmen. This desperate flight continued for years until, almost three years after it's onset, the anarchists were seemingly defeated. A strike made by the matriarchy's remaining military forces took back the Meridia's capitol and the rebellion died down in the next month.
The world was quiet for the next year as the matriarchy rebuilt it's shattered kingdoms and Meridia seems to have been saved. Constance, who now ruled a sizable portion in service to the matriarchy, left for the capitol on the year-anniversery of their victory. That was when Meridia's final days began. During the celebration, the Heartless reappeared. Numerous and without the anarchists, the black creatures swarmed over Meridia in a nearly unstoppable wave. The Lark families defended their kingdom as best they could, but in the face of the renewed assault they were driven back at every turn and soon found themselves cornered, their backs to an inhospitable mountain range. The last stand, consisting only of the Royal Guardsmen and their charges, lasted nearly two days before the last Lark fell. During this battle, Silas failed. His charge was struck down as the Heartless overran the man's position and as Silas was overwhelmed, he was left with the image of Constance's body, broken on the rocky ground, and the Heartless who caused it.
When he awoke, however, Silas found he wasn't dead. His body had been deposited in Traverse Town when his world was consumed and the residents had nursed him back to health as best they could. But the man was devastated. He had failed at his only purpose in life and that fact nearly drove him insane. The man who left Traverse Town was a broken man, in search of either revenge or death, and he soon began moving from world to world. He hunted the Heartless, searching for the one who had slain his beloved princess. With no other purpose, he could atleast join his princess on the other side.
