As you stumble through the dark alley you step in a puddle. You take a step backward and look into the puddle. You see your reflection.

Physical appearance ~ : Maximilian is 5'10" and weighs 135 pounds. He has messy blonde hair that is about medium length. He has grayish blue eyes. He has a lean build.

Clothing/Accessories ~ : Maximilian wears a black t-shirt underneath his jacket. His jacket is red with black shoulders. It is long sleeved, but he keeps the arms rolled up at all times. He has it unbuttoned at all times. He has red pants that can zip off into shorts. The pants are tucked into his boots. His boots go a little less than half way up his lower leg. His boots are black and have red straps going from half way between heel and toes around the back to the other side. On the outside of the boot on the strap is a clock face. He wears 2 special gloves he uses as weapons (check weapons for description).

As you're walking through the alley, you see many sights that influence your mood. The different feelings that suddenly wash over you are many, leaving you with a strange mix of emotions.

Alignment ~ : Neutral Good

Behavior ~ : Maximilian Maximus is very kind and is considered a gentleman. Since he is from 500 years in the past he believes in chivalry. He helps women without being asked to help to the point of annoyance. It doesn't matter if it is fighting a creature or helping a old lady carry groceries. He can not stand thieves, or bullies. He does what he believes is right even if others do not. He is very strong headed.

Maximilian can't help but space off. He tends to day-dream about what he could invent with the technology there is now. He also thinks about his time and family. He tends to live in the moment because he know his time here is limited. He is a teenager so he can't help but be rash every-once in a while.

The gloves are brown and go about halfway up his lower arm. On the top of the hand it is black. Around the wrists are what look like thick bracers with tubes coming out of it leading into his shirt. The bracer part of the gloves are gray. Inside the bracers are watch mechanisms that allow for the control of time. The tubes are connected to a metal plate on his chest that protects his heart. The tubes allow him to survive time disruptions.

[(Status Effect) Slow]
Makes the area 6 inches in all directions slow down by 50%. Doesn't work on organs nearly as well only slows down by 5%. With heart and lungs only slows down heart-rate and breathing not enough to kill though unless either one is slow enough that it would stop. With brain only slows down reactions.

[Heart Stall]
Maximilian's glove allow him to slow his heart down enough to make him seem dead. It is undetectable unless someone with super-hearing puts their ear to his chest. It can be used to slow bleeding or fake death.

[Fast Grip]
Maximilian's Time Gloves generate a time field that slows down any projectile weapon within 5 inches of it. The projectiles are only slowed down enough for him to touch it to change the projection by a little bit(Cm's). When combined with a reaction command he can even catch the projectile. Does not work with magic.

Uses:1 post long, no cooldown, 4 times per thread

Fist Fighter
Since Maximilian is a fist fighter who uses his gloves and boots as weapons, his boots share some of the power. His boots share the power of the element gravity and shares the status effect slow with the gloves. Status effect has longer cooldown on boots than gloves.

Once initiated it lasts up to 5 posts and can not be used for an equal number of your posts as it was used after it ends. Does not technically end until the time limit is up or the user willingly lands on the ground.

"Once apon a time, there was a young watchmaker. He had tons of friends and family. While fixing a watch, he had to look for spare parts that still worked. He found the parts he needed in a old lock-box. In the box next to the parts he found a old broken watch. It must of been 20 years old. The young watchmaker put it in his pocket. He finished fixing the watch and put it in its case so it could be returned to the owner. Then the watchmaker took the old watch out of his pocket and started tinkering with it. He found and put in the missing parts. Then all of the sudden something amazing happened a mysterious blue portal appeared and sucked him in. He was transported 500 years into the..."

I most of heard that story a thousand times, but I still find it interesting. Every-time I heard it, I got so into it that it was like it was the first time I had heard it. I always used to believe it was true and it could happen. Little did I always used to believe it was true and it could happen. Little did I know it had and it would again.

Every-time after he finished the story I would ask, "What happened to the guy after the story?"He would always answer," You have to wait until next time."

After many years of never hearing what happened, I told him that tomorrow he had to finish the story. He didn't finish the story that night, or the next night. He didn't get the chance.

Oh, I'm sorry, none of the probably made much sense to you. I'll explain everything so sit down and listen to my story.

Hi, I'm Maximilian Maximus. I am 16, and a half. I was born into a family of watchmakers. My dad was the best watchmaker in the city. I was to be his legacy. He taught me everything he knew about watches and clocks. I was born 516 years ago. I will explain later. Now my mom was a kind and gentle woman. She didn't work by choice. She stayed home and took care of my dad and me. My dad's workshop was on the ground floor and the rest of our house was on the second floor, which were rare unless there was a business in the building. We stored all our food in the cellar to preserve it.

Oh, I forgot, I live in Radiant Garden. As I grew up I got a lot of friends and learned to be able to tell who were true friends and who is not. When I was 12 years old my mom grew sick. My dad looked around for weeks for a cure, but only found medicine to keep her alive. It was not cheap, so he had to work twice as much to pay for food and the medicine.

He kept searching for a cure. He finally found one when I was 13. We had been eating less food to save money for medicine and a cure, but we only had about a third the cost. We tried everything we could to raise money for the cure.We couldn't get enough so he had to resort to gambling.

He was doing good at first, we almost had enough. Then one night he came home beat up. I asked him what happened, but all he said was it was nothing. The next day, I found out that he was accused of cheating. He knew he hadn't cheated, but he gave the people the money he won back.

He tried earning the rest of the money by earning more. He couldn't earn it fast enough though. When I was 14 her body was so use to the medicine it stopped working. One morning I went to check on her and she was completely covered up. I knew what that meant, she was gone.

My dad and I lived our lives day by day from that day on. Everyday seemed a little bit easier. On my 15^th birthday my dad allowed me to work for him as his apprentice.

After a couple of months of working under my father I got curious. I thought if we can make pocket watches, why can't we make ones for a wrists. So I started experimenting.

I took apart a watch and made an outline of all of the pieces. I made smaller versions of all the pieces, then put them together. I couldn't make the watch work quite right yet so I attached it to a strap on my boot. I make an exact replica of the mini watch to put on my boot.

I began tinkering with the components of a watch and tried to see if I could put it in a bracer or bracelet. I managed to make it so I could put it on my favorite gloves. All I had to do now was figure out how to combine the two watches to make it so it worked.

It was a week before my 16^th birthday and my dad finally agreed to finish his story. He had gone to the marketplace without me and left a note saying where he was. I ran as fast I could to the way there I decided to cut through an alley to get there faster.

When I turned into the alley, I froze. I saw my dad surrounding by weird black creatures and a group of local thieves. My dad had dropped the food and took up a fighting stance. Before his I had never know he could fight.

The thieves attacked him one at a time and he beat everyone of them away. Then they had the creatures attack him. He was able to fend them off, but they just kept coming back. He couldn't win. The thieves called off the creatures when they thought he was dead.

When they were out of sight I ran up to him. He was still alive, barely. I kept telling him I was there and to stay with me. All he said was, "I'm sorry I couldn't finish the story for you. Now you know how my version of it ends. If you want to find out how your version ends. If you want to find out how your version ends, open the box under the counter in my workshop and see for yourself."

My father fell silent. I just sat there crying for the rest of the night until a watchman found me and asked what happened I explained what happened and he took me home. Two days later, a funeral was held for him.

On my 16^th birthday, I opened the box, considering it my birthday present from my deceased father. It was a watch with some pieces missing. The missing pieces were right next to it in the box. I took the watch apart and put the missing pieces in. When I started the watch up, there was a blue vortex that sucked me in.

When I woke up in the morning, I was in a dark alley. I got up and walked out of the alley puzzled. I didn't recognize anything. I walked around for a couple of hours, until I bumped into someone and fell down. They helped me up and asked if I was okay. I said yes, just a little confused.

I asked where I was and their reply was Radiant Garden. Confused I asked what year it was. They told me the year, with a confused look on their face. I told them thanks then walked away.

'Could it be possible, did I time travel 500 years into the future?' That was all I could think about. I was walking down the street when I was attacked by the same types of creatures my dad was. My gloves and boots seemed to react to the enemy. I tried fighting the creature, but failed. Some stranger attacked and defeated the creature and told me, "Watch out for the heartless if they get you, they will try to take your heart." Then he walked away.

Many things ran through my mind. 'What are heartless? Did time traveling change my gloves and boots into some kind of weapon?' All I knew was I needed to get stronger. For four months I trained how to fist fight and worked repairing watches and clocks to pay for food and shelter, even though I wasn't used to the watches and clocks here yet.

Now that you know who I am, and what I was talking about this letter should make more sense. I am still in the future, but I managed to send this back in time. I am still trying to figure out how to get back to my own time though. So until then use my story as a bedtime story.... for me.
