As you are heading out the door of your house, a small glimmer of light catches your eye. You turn around and see a mirror, putting you face to face with your reflection.

~~Hikaru~~

Physical appearance ~ : Karu is a petite girl, not well built or anything. She has silvery peach skin, the silver coming from her dragon traits. She has long flowing dark blue hair that falls to her lower back, bangs cover her forehead. Beneath that layer of hair on her forehead is a symbol of diamond; representing ice. She has aqua green eyes, when she is mad or angry can change to a light green color. When her powers are activated, she can have markings on her arms and on her face.

Clothing/Accessories ~ : She wears a blue kimono with a white kimono underneath. It is held together by a white piece of cloth in front. Over her shoulders, sometimes over her head she can have a white shawl like cloth. Wrapped around her arms she has red ribbons. She wears sandals on her feet.

~Personality~

As you're walking through the door, you see many sights that influence your mood. The different feelings that suddenly wash over you are many, leaving you with a strange mix of emotions.

Alignment ~ : Neutral/Good

Behavior ~ : Hikaru usually keeps to herself, she secludes herself from others because she’s afraid. Afraid of what might happen when she can’t control her emotions, her powers. She is shy and she cares about others but is frightened to get close to anyone. She did once and her powers got the best of her. She holds things deep inside of her, not letting them out when she’s around others. Holding everything inside. She only seems to let them out when she is alone, so that her powers can go all over the place not hurting anyone. She never seems to have brightness about her, which her name inquires, but instead a sadness and sorrow. Someone could try to put a smile on her face though, but it would be really hard to since she doesn’t let anyone in. Her mood always seems to change, never staying constant for too long. Anything or anyone can change her mood like that at any point in time. She reacts to things easily and is very emotional. Hikaru isn’t very social either, though she can talk but doesn’t talk about personal stuff.

[Leather made gloves, entwined with aqua powers, not as powerful as her Aqua power but it helps her control water in any of its forms better. She usually performs most of her abilities with these gloves, and they put in one hell of a punch when she uses them in hand to hand combat. They are a brown with some black patches here and there, they cover to her knuckles.]

[Dragon’s Tears]
[This ability depends upon Hikaru’s emotions, generally how she is feeling. It can be very dangerous at times, or it can be calm and peaceful. It can protect people, defending them or harm them. It can be hot, warm, cold or freezing at any point in time. Hikaru can kind of control it, but when her feelings get in the way from her so does her power. It eventually can get out of control. She can control, manipulate and generally create it, since water is contained in her body. Also, what she can control is water in general; solid, or liquid. She can create it into blasts, balls, waves, anything her heart desires, even creating walls or slabs of ice. But she doesn’t realize the true potential of her power. At times, the water can surround her, protecting her. She can breath underneath it, walk on it and swim underneath it. Also, when she cries her tears are more along the lines of ice tears, jewels. Also, her reflection in the water is not that of a human but of a dragon.]

Strength: Strong
Uses: Depends upon her emotions, it is limited when she is calm but when she is angry she can use it for awhile. When she is calm the most she can do with it is form it into blasts, or shoot blasts of water or ice at someone.

When she is angry she do more with her ability, such as create slabs of ice or create a frozen ice land. Very rare that she would become angry or mad. The maximum volume of water she create is a around the size of a pool. Not only can she only create water up to the maximum of a pool, she can only control water up to that maximum. Hikaru can not control water from the bodies of other sentient beings.

[Empathy]
[Hikaru was born with the power to feel other's feelings, just their mood and such. She can't read what they are going to do; she can only read their mood, for example if they are stressed, depressed, happy, and moody, etc. She usually hates this power it makes her too emotional and caring. The mood of someone or something around her is inflected upon her. She usually sees images of something inside her head.. Not by just looking at them face to face, but instead looking through the mind, the body and the heart. She can feel their emotions from a radius of 100 feet away. She can even feel animal’s emotions. But, all the emotions are too much for her to handle at once sometimes. She tries to block them out though, she also wants to help everyone one of them but can’t…]

Uses: Passive.

[Blue Flame]
[Blue Flame, despite its name is not really a flame at all, instead of harm it does good. It heals someone's wounds. The flame when it comes in contact to someone or something will heal it instantly, well within minutes, since Hikaru hasn't mastered this either. She can heal small wounds, but some of the wound will be inflicted upon Hikaru and will drain a lot of her power and strength. She can not use this on herself, only on others.]

Hikaru was born to a female dragoness; she was born a half dragon though, for her father was a human. He had fallen in love with her mother, but then left her for reasons unknown to Hikaru. But one thing Hikaru was born with was her ability to feel other’s feelings, and knowing when her mother was sad, happy, etc. Her mother loved her though all the other dragons wanted to ban Hikaru from their world. Banish her for life. Hikaru’s mother, Yume, disagreed with them along with some of her close friends. As Hikaru grew up, she felt she didn’t belong there. She felt an outcast. All the other children there, called her Halfling, and pushed her around. They called her other names, which mad her sad. She didn’t have a single friend there, accept for her mother. Her mother had mood swings at times she could be happy other times she could be sad. She wanted Hikaru to be happy and she felt that Hikaru wasn’t happy here. So, when she felt Hikaru was old enough, she banished her well the other members of their society banished her from their world. Hikaru never heard from her mother again. Some say, she killed herself for what she did to Hikaru…

Hikaru was left alone in the world, to fend for herself. She wandered around the world for awhile. She found a small village, her fragile body slowly walking into it. She had wandered for days, without food or water. And, she was only 12 years old, too young to be alone in the world. She truly, did feel alone. A boy, around his teens ran up to her as he saw her collapse on the ground. As he came to her, he found her unconscious. He picked her fragile body up, carrying her to a small house. He walked in, his mother looked at him. “She needs help.” He said to her, setting Hikaru on a bed. “It looks like she has gone days without food.” He added. He went through the kitchen, getting a warm cloth and telling his mother to get some food. He then went to place the warm cloth on her forehead after feeling it. It seemed she had a temperature.

The boy stayed by her side the entire night, waiting for her to wake up. She hadn’t woken up yet. He soon fell asleep in a chair besides the bed. His mother wrapped a blanket around him and went to her room, she would return later to check up on them. Hikaru finally woke up, she rubbed her eyes. She felt weak, barely able to move. She looked around, seeing the boy. Then she saw a plate of food to her left. He must have helped her. She picked up the food; hunger filled her body as she looked at it. As she touched it, she saw it was cold. She must have been here for awhile. She started to eat it. Food was food.

Then someone walked into the room, when she was half finished with the plate. “I see you’re awake.” A woman’s voice said to her. Hikaru looked up, to see a middle aged woman, smiling at her. “My son here rescued you. He’s been watching over you since.” She added as she walked towards the bed side where Hikaru had placed the empty plate.

“Thank you…” Was all Hikaru could say. She wasn’t sure how to act. What to say.

“You should thank him instead.” She said picking up the plate. “Want some more?” She offered.

“Yes, please.” Hikaru said, being polite. She didn’t want to seem rude. Maybe she wasn’t alone after all. The woman soon returned with some food, she placed it on the night stand next to the bed Hikaru lied in.

“My names Imiko.” She said, introducing herself. “My sons name is Ichimaru, we call him Ichi though.” She said to Hikaru, introducing the sleeping boy who was her son.

“My names Hikaru.” She said, introducing herself also.

“Pretty name you have there.” Imiko said, smiling. “So, how’d you come to this village?” She asked.

“Wandered here...I guess.” Hikaru said. For her memory of her family, her mother, the dragons had been erased with her banishment.

“You may stay here if you like.” Imiko said to her.

Hikaru smiled. “That would be nice, once I get up on my feet again.” She said. She didn’t seem her age at all. She seemed matured. Imiko and Hikaru talked until Imiko took her leave, going to sleep and that she would see Hikaru in the morning. Hikaru also fell asleep. When she woke up in the morning, Ichi the boy who had saved her was gone from the chair besides her bed. She got up, walking around the house. She went to where Imiko said she could find her, she wasn’t there. She then went to the kitchen. No one. Outside, she found Imiko and Ichimaru talking. She didn’t want to interrupt but Imiko caught her in the corner of her eye and ushered her over. She sat besides them. Ichi smiled at her. Hikaru smiled back.

“It’s good to see you awake.” He said to her. “I hear your names Hikaru.” He added.

Hikaru nodded, “Yours is Ichimaru?” She asked, trying to remember both their names. He nodded.

They talked. Ichi showed her around the house a bit, and then went out into town for some chores. He asked Hikaru if she felt up to coming, but she turned it down. Hikaru helped Imiko with some of the chores around the house. She had learned she had landed in a small town outside the Imperial City. She wanted to stay here. Yet, she wanted to know her past…

She stayed with them. Knowing she was probably better off with them then with what ever she had before. Ichimaru and Hikaru grew close. They were friends, maybe even potential girlfriend and boyfriends. But they were still young and didn’t know what love was. Yet, they taught each other things and hung around each other. They lived in the snow covered mountains. Hikaru was happy there. She felt she did belong here… Yet, there was something different about her. She had felt other’s feelings. Which was odd, because normally people didn’t know other’s feelings and could see it so clearly. One day she asked Ichi about this. He wasn’t sure. Then, as Hikaru’s emotion feeling power got worse and worse, she became overwhelmed and that was when her powers were unleashed. Two years after she had finally found a place she felt she belonged…It was destroyed..

Her powers covered the ice capped mountains in ice, glistening ice, rock hard. She found herself unconscious at the bottom of the mountain. When she walked up the mountain, arriving days later the ice was gone and so was the village… She wasn’t sure what had happened. She looked around, trying to find someone. There was no one. It seemed they had just vanished from the world. Once again, Hikaru felt alone. She wandered around again. She found herself Imperial City. All the commotion and the feelings she felt from others was too much, she walked away from it. Wandering the wilderness again. She decided to isolate herself…

She learned how to block out other’s not completely though. She still had to work on it. She often went to a town and focused on somebody’s feelings and felt that she could only focus on one person if she wanted to. And she also discovered her other powers, slowly though at first. And then that she could control them. One day, she saw a small ship in the sky. She went towards where it had landed. A person walked out of the ship, which she later found out was called a Gummi Ship. She took that out of the Land of Dragons…

With regards to empathy, lets discuss it a bit. It's fine as it is, so don't worry, it's just I want a bit of a deeper understanding. First off, sensing that many emotions will probably distract her a lot and is undoubtedly a huge strain; she must have quite the amount of willpower and "sense of self" to be able to resist feeling what others feel. Also, for now at least, she can only sense the 'peripheral' mood, not the reasoning or depth of that mood, right? A person may be angry and she'd feel that in them, but she wouldn't be able to feel why or to what degree they are angry, yes? They may be angry, but only slightly and because someone they love is putting themself in danger? Yeah, just some clarifying notes on a most interesting power I had once invested in.

Blue Flame is dandy.

Hm, Dragon's Tear is hard to approve since it does so very much; even for a "Strong" ability.
So when 'angry':
1. You need to add a maximum volume of water with which she can toy with; a limit to the limitless potential. I'd say about a pool size considering she can do so much with it.
2. I'll let her 'create' water, but only to the maximum of a pool.
3. She can't control water from the bodies of other sentient beings.

You can have two versions of this ability, the 'free' version you have, and the more restricted version I have to ask of you for fairness purposes. The free version you'd have to ask your RP partner to be able to use, I'm afraid.

Yes, she wouldn't be able to see the reason behind why that person is feeling that way, well for now. And if the emotions, say she is in a large town and there are a lot of people then she could become overwhelmed and start to feel those emotions. But, she normally doesn't feel what others feel... but sometimes it's hard to resist.

I added a maximum volume of water to Dragon's Tears.

Is she able to distinguish and pick apart who is feeling what within a large town? Curious. And it's rather interesting combined with her water power, being able to use her 'angry' Dragon's Tear by emulating her opponent's feelings would be trippy.

What I also find interesting is that her abilities are more 'soft' (water) based when she's calm and 'hard' when she's angry (ice).

Hm, okay, just to finish up, since gaseous states are way too hard to pick at could you remove the part about her controlling water in gaseous form (Steam)? And add that not only can she only create water up to the maximum of a pool, she can only control water up to that maximum. That should wrap things up.

I was thinking for gas, like..fog or something. *Shrug*

She could probably distinguish between a few, like say..someone is really close she would feel that emotion more, but someone more distant would be lesser.
