Leave behind all joy and face the hopeless tomorrow. Will you stand or will you fall?
Name: The Necropolis System
Race(s)/Odd Animals: No native life resides here, none at all; not even a single cell.
History: Whatever tales the barren wasteland of this system of at least several thousand worlds could tell have long been lost. If it were a natural decay, there would be evidence left of whatever mighty civilization’s proud castles once stood on the soils of this galaxy. However, at the very edges of the Necropolis System, the decrepit but still inhabited worlds there have old stories of a mighty Sovereignty destroyed overnight by its own King.
Environment: The Necropolis System is a series of thousands of empty worlds. What exists on those planets is a nothing that is the aftermath of something great. The ecosystem consists solely of grey soil, resembling dust and nothing else. No native life exists, not the smallest of worms within the earth, nor the mightiest of oaks. Wind and clouds of dust still exist; while nearby stars still bathe the worlds in different phases of night and day. However, what truly earns this system of worlds its name is the fact that on every single world, across every square inch, is a littering of tombstones and empty graves. Lacking in corpses, it is a cemetery only in meaning. Simple and crude slabs of rock, fashioned into simple arches; almost on every tombstone is a name, though there are still many that remain unnamed. Unbelievable as it is, the entire Necropolis spanning numerous worlds suggests craftsmanship by a single person; a penance that must have taken lifetimes. It pervades the very air of these lifeless worlds, a sense of trampled dignity, of lives lost in vain and sins never to be forgiven.
Summary: A mass empty graveyard that spans thousands of world. As far as the eye can see there is naught but dirt and gravestones. A system in mourning, the aftermath of a great Destruction. It is an empire returned to zero. Practically all evidence of what great civilization once stood in these worlds disappeared with it. You walk on the deadlands, there is nothing for you here.
Category: Wasteland, Graveyard
Rules: "You find your clothes replaced with black attire more fit for mourning, suited to you though they may be. Your powers are sealed and your weapons confiscated until you leave; this is the Necropolis, you need not add to the graves present."
