COME ONE, COME ALL! To be fair, there is a system in use to determine if the sword can be pulled.
You have one week.
You may try once with each character.
The prize shall be great.
Do not post your character exiting. It will be assumed. This is to make this simpler for all.
Good luck.

Here's a complaint that you said needed to be put here, so quoting Angelus: Three things. One: Click my name go to my profile where it will have a character chain in the web site area. Not complete but it had Anduras. Two: You never said once anywhere that a profile chain (or even a profile link) was required. You never once told me that you wanted to see my character chain, or asked if I could show it to you. And you know, there is a board with character chains it it. You could've looked there. Three: I didn't have a link to Kalen's profile, but he wasn't disqualified. At least you never said he was. It really wasn't fair to me that I was "disqualified" because you never once told me in any way that a profile link (or chain) was required. I'm not trying to sound like an ass or anything but I'm kind of pissed that you're not giving me a chance just because I didn't do something I wasn't aware of. And the fact that no profile link or character chain wasn't a rule doesn't really justify you in any way. Yeah I know it's just an event with who knows what as a prize but it doesn't seem fair to me that people aren't getting a shot because you didn't tell them about something. Something which would've taken three seconds to post. Profile for me.See. EDIT: After looking back on earlier pages because of what Rocket said I saw that you told Homac the same thing about his character. And yeah I'm a little mad that he was disqualified too because you didn't say before hand that he needed it, or even give him a chance to provide a link to you. And after you told him that, wouldn't it have been wise to go and update the rules saying that a character chain or whatever was needed. And the proof that you didn't is here. Yup.It was last updated on the 17th, and there was no mention of this anywhere. Doesn't really seem fair to me. /rant EDIT EDIT: And btw, I haven't checked the thread before my posts with Anduras, and after Merlin. And I went before Homac did. And Merlin didn't have a link to his profile either. End quote. Although I wouldn't have said it in so many words, I do agree. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your patience.
One: this is not the standard method used to keep character chains. I can't be expected to have noticed that.
Two: it was my intent to keep the system used a mystery for as long as possible. This included access to a character's profile, something I assumed wouldn't be an issue, given virtually everyone has a character chain in the signiture. I had assumed you had no character chain, what with there being no link to it in your signiture that I could see at the time. I didn't have the time to go looking, either.
Three: you were lucky. I had seen Merlin and Kalen's profiles recently.
I agree that it is less than fair to miss the chance to pull the sword due to small oversights. As is such, I will detail the following early:
Day 5 Event: Beginning today, hints will be given out. Those who partially meet the Sword's standards will feel the sword budge slightly. It will not give way, however. Use these hints to your advantage, given the Day 7 Event.
Day 7 Event: Beginning, Sunday, the gathering will evolve into a full-out event. All who have already attempted to retrieve the sword may try again, with the following advantages:
a) Using the previous hints to your advantage, you could edit your character so as to meet the standards. b) Angelus and Homac's plights will be no more. c) A secret advantage, to be revealed when the time comes.
Note that today is Day 5, and that Lovey's Akane did not recieve a hint because she did not meet the requirements at all.
2 days remain.

So, it was me. ... Yeeeep. xD Sorry for the cold shoulder personality, but I didn't want anyone knowing who it was, so that there'd be no tossing around of "BIASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!" and other fun stuff. ^^ Dei's Bishop is the winner! The criteria was as follows: Under (not at) 19 No abilities of any kind (ignoring Equips, though...) Given none of you had ever tried doing that ever, the final day's criteria dulled it down to: Under (not at) 19 No offensive abilities of any kind (ignoring Equips, though...) Bishop pulled it first under those conditions, congrats for having such willingness to experiment with powerless conditions! I won't deny though, I pr'bly should've added a clause in there about "living being, preferably". xD My apologies to all for zeh complications that shortly followed. Now that I know the way this kinda thing works, I'll be sure to give a proper head's up should I ever go (try) to do this again. Which pr'bly won't happen. xD Thank you all for participating, (there was no small amount of creative characters that took the time to try the sword!) and good night!P.S., I don't think I have the authority to be handing out Nascent's very nicely given Dream Sword. So, I haven't. But the munny's been given, and the right to make a Sword of the Stone weapon's been given! XD

XD I lol'd SO HARD when Bishop won and you revealed yourself. XD
Sneaky sneaky! I thought it had something to do with character count and your munny and went through all sorts of interesting loops and hijinks in order to make it fit. AND THIS WAS ALL BECAUSE YOU TOLD YOU WANTED THE SWORD IN THE STONE, I QUOTE, 'SO BAD'.
XD
Well played, well played indeed.
Huh. Now Bishop's... king. Oh mai. *goes to make plot points* >w<
Also, let me be the first to say thank you. This was an amusing little romp and would have been with or without the winnings though those certainly don't hurt. Do try this again!

Mneh... you do something anonymous once, suddenly everyone assumes it's you when a mystery event pops up. Loses some of the interest, yah?
I'll let others run their pseudo-mysteryic stuff first. (Remember to run it quietly past the Admins first-- I didn't, and there was some serious eyebrow raising. xD)
Once suspicion isn't so quick to rise, maybe I'll give it a shot.
..
...
Who am I kidding? XD If I get a good idea, and it's good enough to be persistent, I'll see about trying more stuff like this. You're right-- it was fun. ^^

Going to go on a limb and ask if you've found a way to do this without messing with the continuity of Merlin/King Arthur's world? An alternate world of great similarity perchance?

That's what I was thinking. Did Rocket just usurp Wart(aka Arthur) and cast him out into the cold of FM's continuity? XD
