The Restoration Committee operates with features that you probably haven't seen used before in this setting, though could very well be familiar from another. This board hopes to define certain terms we need to use so that nobody is left confused.
The list will be updated as becomes necessary.
Terminology
Committee Members: These characters live in Hollow Bastion and work with the Restoration Committee to help in its reconstruction. Includes the faction Leader and Founders.
Honourary Members: These characters do not live in Hollow Bastion but they come to help out whenever they can. There is no difference between a Committee Member and an Honourary Member for OOC matters.
Faction Allies: These characters are listed on the Committee Roster but they are not members of of the Faction. These are just people that the Committee knows it can trust and call on in times of need.
Projects: A project is something the Committee is working on in-character to improve the quality of the town. These can be Major, with multiple steps required to complete them, or Minor, with only a one-time thread needed to get the job done. All projects are completed by members of the Committee going on missions where they are assigned a task from the project to be completed in a role-play thread. What specific events go on in the thread are different for each, typically involving some sort of mini-game type goal for the characters to achieve, similar to a Quest. It is possible for missions to be failed due to circumstances.
Missions: Tasks taken on by members of the Committee to help complete a project. Missions come in many styles and types.
Mission Flow
1. All members put forth ideas on role-plays that can be carried out and how to keep them interesting.
2. The Faction leadership make an official mission thread which the members then sign up their characters for by posting in.
3. The assigned members role-play the mission with any other characters joining or leaving as it goes based on the progression of the event. If desired one member can be chosen to role-play the mission itself instead of a character in a manner similar to how a Quest Master leads a Quest. In such a situation it will be their main goal to generate interesting events or changes as the mission progresses.
4. Once the task is officially completed, failed or abandoned one of the members who participated posts once more in the mission's sign-up thread to give a summary of how it went, succeed or fail.
