All right my fellow Restoration Committee members, before we get going into the in-character details let's first have a quick talk about the actual Faction OOC board itself and how everything looks so far. Not just aesthetically but how does it look in what has been set up for use? Is everything too complicated? Not detailed enough? Too many/few threads? Anything left unclear or strike you as off-putting? Do you have more questions than answers?
If so then now's the time to say it.

To be honest...it's a lot of threads to look through. Then again, there's a lot of rules thread you have to look through upon joining the forum, so they should deal.
OK, that came out harsher than it sounded...
Urm. Well, I mean, you've clearly labeled everything. Everything makes sense. [or should] There might be a lot of threads to read...that's all.

I could probably remove Faction Rules altogether. Its mainly there for completion's sake. Think we should drop it?

But for the rest... its there because we have it. What could I really "drop"? Now, if you don't think it should BE this way then that's a different thing. Then of course we could drop it.
EDIT: Registration thread and mission sign-up/report templates also removed. Looking any better now?

Need opinions on this:
How to Join the RGRC
Step 1: Is your character a canon who was already a member? If so, congratulations! You're in! If not, proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Locate an RP thread, by whatever means you wish to use, in which characters who are existing members of the forum's RGRC Faction are participating.
Step 3: Enter this thread yourself with the character you desire to have join.
Step 4: Role-play with the characters and see what happens! With any luck you'll be an in-character member in no time... or it could take a while. But what's life without a little adventure?
Step 5: Post in this thread with a link to the R{P in which you became an in-character member. Your out-of-character membership will follow shortly.
Yay or Nay?

Does anyone think new members not being able to just sign up and be in with a finger snap like the other groups will be detrimental to us?

It could be. But right now all the factions limit who can join in some way. I've even considered changing the Rogue Armada to anyone with a pirate-like nature. The Organization is limited to Org. XIII charries, and the Barons is a faction limited to tamers and minions.

Oh MAN. We need more people. :\ Like...I have a bad feeling and I think we need more people. Just more man power.
As for the whole joining an RP etc...I don't know, I just feel it's WAY too much work. Have you noticed that half the time, RPs don't finish on FM? In addition to that, as things drag on, people lose interest. While it would have good RP value and canon reason to join the RGRC, I also think this will be our downfall in terms of getting new members.
Also, what if we don't have threads for members to join? :\ I just don't think this is very efficient.

The problem here is there's not enough people interested in Factions. Those who are are in multiple. But that's besides the point; whatever happens, lets just have fun. And I think Asa has realized being in a Faction may be the easiest way to make munny.
Anyway , not so much 'official', but anyone interested in doing the RP with Riku where he 'joins'?
