Physical appearance
At first glance; as well as the second and third, for that matter, Calahan is quite a terrifying individual. Because to his Lyrian heritage, he is a naturally large man, standing at well over six feet tall. But due to the years he has spent training his body -- at first to be a protector, but later to be a killing machine, he has developed an incredibly muscular physique. Undoubtedly, he is at the peak of physical condition, and it shows. And sadly, his body is all that people generally get to see, for one of two reasons. The first is that he has this bad habit of killing them before they get the chance to get a good look at him. The other is because of a pesky helmet covering his entire face, but more on that later.
Clothing/Accessories
One could argue that Calahan's choice of clothing is quite simple. Others, however, would state that it's surprisingly intricate. Both of these statements are true. The swordsman wears a golden suit of armor, albeit one without any sleeves. However, not many people get to see just how glorious the suit is, as it's constantly covered by a massive black cape, with a trail of animal fur adorning the top of it. He also wears a similarly colored golden helm, with a gap just large enough for him to see through. Five spikes stick from the back of the headgear, in a crude imitation of a dragon's body. It's worth noting that the armor is crafted of the same metal that his sword is, making it nearly impossible to recreate.

Alignment
Evil.
Behavior
It’s really no surprise that Calahan is as bitter and reserved as he is, considering that life has dealt him some pretty crappy cards. Yes, he used to be a caring, even happy individual, but since his death, and then his rebirth, he's lost all hope. It's the reason he's evil. Why fight for anything when nobody, not even your own children, care for you anymore. But one should realize that, although he fights against the light, and all those that wield it, he isn't quite as merciless or malicious as other villains tend to be. Rather, he only fights those that get in his way, and even then, he only does so when he has a legitimate reason to do so. This is partially because of his conscience -- he's really learned to hate that thing -- and partially because of the fact that his teacher taught him never to turn a blade against someone that hasn't done so to you. Even so, he has no problem killing, if he has to.
However, the capacity to care, and in turn, protect, does exist within him. So strongly, in fact, that it might just break free one day and return him, if only partially, to the man he once was. The main problem is, it's been obscured by so much misery, and greed. So much pain. He doubts that he'll ever be able to trust again, despite what his mind insists on telling him.

Primary Weapon
ID: Discord & Despair.
Quality: Excellent.
Long ago, Discord & Dispair were glorious weapons, used, ironically enough, to slay those that sought to harm anyone close to Malachi. However, due in part to his horrific actions before his death, as well as the time he spent in the Underworld has altered them, just as said factors altered Malachi himself. The handles of both blades are made of a foreign black metal, which can only be found -- or could only be found -- on Malachi's home world of Lyria. Extending from these handles, which are, strangely, lacking hilts, are blades forged from the same metal. The blades, from bottom to tip, are four and a half feet long, giving Malachi more than enough reach in battle. Outside of battle, the swords look perfectly normal, as though nothing was abnormal about them. But the second he becomes aware of an opponent's presence, and draws his blades, they seem to glow with an etheral light -- almost a hunger. It's quite terrifying.Demonic Circle
The truth behind the hunger of his blades is quite unsettling, once someone discovers the truth. In reality, the souls of one thousand demons exist within the blades themselves, desiring nothing more than the ability to burst forth and tear apart any who may oppose Calahan, or, should he ever have them, his allies. Stabbing both of the blades into the ground, one on either side of his body, he acts as a catalyst, enabling the demons to burst forth. However, as they lack physical forms anymore, they are only able to fly about in their spirit forms. Also, as they are only able to exist in the real world because of Calahan's presence, they must remain within ten feet of his person. Because of this, they simply act as a nigh-invulnerable shield, both repelling the attacks of others and damaging them in turn. However, Calahan is unable to move during the duration of this ability, and if the spirits are struck by any strong ability, they are forced back into the blades. If and when they are forced back into their respective weapons, Calahan is hit by sufficient force to throw him ten feet backwards. This can act as both a positive and negative action, as it throws him out of range of his opponent, but if anything is behind him, he will take damage equal to that of a weak-level ability.
Strength:
Moderate.
Uses:
Calahan can use this ability up to five times per battle, although there is a four turn cooldown between uses. Also, once he activates the ability, should he be able to allow it to run it's course -- meaning, obviously, that he is not interrupted -- the shield would last for two posts.
Demonic Shield -- Class Ability.
Simply by focusing the strength of the thousand demons within his swords into one sword, he is able to make one of them float before him, forming a semi-transparent field that is able to repel attacks of weak to moderate strength. While this isn't quite as strong as his Demonic Circle, as it lacks the ability to actually harm an opponent. However, he is able to, say, ram an opponent with it, making it quite useful as well.
Strength:
Can repel both weak and moderate abilities.
Uses:
Calahan can use this ability three times per battle, and it lasts for a single post, if it remains intact.

Items
1. Hero Drink.
When activated this item causes the user to glow with a red-colored aura. All physical attack damage dealt by the user is strengthened and enhanced to double from its base for the remainder of battle in addition to other existing boosts. One time use. Hero Drinks can not be activated more than one at a time.

Equips
1. High Jump.
Jump up to 20 feet high.
2. Glide.
Gain the ability to float and move horizontally while floating in the air, but not vertically. Gliding is much faster than the average character can run without a moderate speed ability. You can't pull off any sharp turns so changing direction by a full 180 degrees without stopping and turning around would take an entire post to do. Once initiated in the air the character slowly loses altitude at about 3 feet per post until they are just barely skimming across the surface of the ground. Even at this height Glide can still keep going but the character can not attack in any way while using it. Glide can be canceled and then started again in mid-air as long as the character isn't skimming the ground yet, but doing so will always cost an additional 3 feet of air and will end Glide if done while skimming or within 3 feet of skimming. The effect does not technically end until the character touches the ground again. Once ended Glide can not be used again for 2 of your posts.
3. Sonic Thrust.
The user can perform a thrust with their weapon or body which propels them at Strong-level speed across a distance of ten feet. A slipstream surrounds the user that dulls any attack made on them from the front or sides during this movement but it also dulls their attack if it involves a bladed or piercing weapon to only cause blunt damage. The propulsion can only move the user in a straight direction and only over a surface, not through the air. 4 uses per battle with no other limitations. Sonic Thrust's damage is equivalent to a Weak ability.
4. Strike Raid.
The user can throw a melee weapon as an attack and then have it reappear in their hand at the beginning of their next post. The thrown weapon will curve slightly to hit a target if it moves but is not overly difficult to evade from a distance. 6 uses per battle.
5. Ripple Drive.
A burst of energy is sent outwards from the user in all directions and pushes opponents away by 10 feet. The burst doesn't cause any damage and is purely a means of getting an opponent away. Can only be used on an opponent's body, not as a means of countering on oncoming Ability. Three uses per battle and only lasts 1 post.

Lyria was a land of light.
A wonderful place, the likes of which children would only hear of in old fairy tales.
But it was real. Very real.
Or at least, it used to be.
______________
Among the many villagers that resided on this world were Angelina and Oliver, two humble people who never really wanted to draw too much attention to themselves. Sadly, attention found them. Oliver was an incredibly adept blacksmith, and made weapons for not only the knights that protected their great kingdom, but for foreign warriors, no matter where they came from. As long as he could give them the tools they would need to defend themselves, he would remain happy. He led a simple life, but it was the life he was destined to live. And he had never wanted anything more.
But as he was getting on in the years, he realized that he would need an heir to take over the family business, when he finally passed away. For this reason, and this reason alone -- as Oliver was never too keen on allowing children near weapons -- he and his wife conceived a child. This child was named Malachi, after Oliver's own father, and was trained from birth not only to take over the shop, but how to defend himself. First he trained using wooden sticks -- good for a few bruises here and there, but without the risk of dealing harm to the young lad. But as he grew older, more mature, and gained more talent, he moved on to actual blades.
Finally, on the day he turned eighteen, his training was complete. To many people, eighteen years of training, simply to fight with a sword, may seem like a bit much. But he was a master. And this fact was quite obvious, if one had the sense to look back at his track record. He had defeated even the most powerful of swordsmen, from every corner of Lyria. He was undefeated. However, his excitement could not last long. As they were far older than most Lyrians were when they died, it was to be expected that Oliver and Angelina had reached the end of their tethers. And sure enough, they passed, leaving Malachi to live his life.
For a decade, he lived his life in peace, without a care in the world. He met the woman who would be his wife, a shopkeeper from a faraway village. The two had their own children, Eli and Aurelia, and Malachi began to train them to be warriors, just as his father had taught him. However, his peace could not last forever. In the dead of night, terrible creatures that he would later learn were known as 'the Heartless' attacked. They killed whatever they could get their hands on, from visitors to his own wife. His grief corrupted his heart, causing him to become almost as evil as the invaders themselves.
Overcome by pain and anguish, he changed sides, attacking those that had once been his neighbors and friends. But before he could get far, he was confronted by his own son. Eli, disgusted by what his father had become, engaged him in battle, which ended with Malachi having a sword plunged through his heart. There, his body died, but his soul moved on, flying to a completely different time; a different world. He arrived in the Underworld, a place for the dead souls like himself to come to rest. There he lived for several decades, the memories of what he had done torturing him, taunting him, messing with his mind.
To make matters worse, he found himself trapped within one of the deepest tunnels that made up the horrific place, faced by one thousand demons that wanted nothing more than to tear him limb from limb. But the fact that he was already dead, along with the realization that nothing could make him feel more horrid than he already did, gave him the strength to slay each and every one of them, trapping their souls within the two blades he had been fighting with for years. The power of the demons was so great that it took him right out of the Underworld and brought him to the surface, where he vowed never to care for another person again. If he did, he might risk repeating his actions, a thought that he didn't dare consider.
He would do what he needed to survive. Nothing more. And he would cut down any person that dared to get in his way. Malachi Winston was no more. And in his place was Calahan, a man without fear.
God help any who decided to face him...
