I haven't played it, but from what my brother has said it sounds like a good game. Multiplayer is by far the best part especially when you have up to four players on a mission.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews, which is why I thought I'd ask here.
But I'm not limited the thread to just gameplay. Feel free to comment on the story or anything else that comes to mind. Perhaps people can even post canon altering changes that come with the new game?

GRAAAAH XALDIN.
WHY DO YOU HAVE NO DEPTH?! *grumblegrumblesulksulk*
Of course, I'm just following livejournal stuffs and reading secret reports but still. He's like the most cartoony villain of the entire Organization XIII. And that's saying something.

Wow. I just read his article on KH Wiki. That's... so sad. D:
Hurray neglected Org members! Thanks for nothing, Days.
Edit: Btw, I still don't count Xion as a girl. Xion is an 'it'.

An 'it' that became a 'she', and then who knows what's happening at the END of the game. XD
That said, it's still canon that the 'it' became a 'she'. So you really can't say Larxy was the only numbered Org Member that was a girl. x3 You CAN say that Xion didn't really count in the Org since she was an artificial Nobody, but she DID have a number.

An 'it' that became a 'she' but can be seen as an 'it' or a 'boy.'
As 'it' is composed of memories, I'm going to continue to believe that Xion is genderless. >:3

>_> I haven't really played it, because I have no money at the moment to spare.
But, I did spoil the entire game by watching the cut scenes on youtube.
D: I flipping love Xion. Such a different character.

I marathon'd the game like crazy on my day off. Not because it was compelling(Though the "Just one more mission" voice is definitely present and was a contributing factor). Rather it was because... I really, REALLY wanted to get to the point where the plot started.
It was somewhere after 200 days.
There are a ton of "recolour" Heartless too. Still, that doesn't make it any less fun to beat them up. ^^

So would you say it's more painful then the first few hours of KHII? D:
Recolour Heartless?

It isn't more painful, because you're actually doing stuff and fighting. XD Unlike the tutorial hours, which are, quite frankly, very boring indeed.
And you don't fight many Heartless that appear in the other games. There are heartless that are recolours of existing ones, like the Sergeant is a recolour of the Soldier, and there are some ones that are a completely new type.

Yeah, there's at least three new types Heartless that are basically the same model as Soldier but different colours and some larger in size. There are larger, slightly colorized version of Daksides(Dark Followers) and Neoshadows(Novashadows) as well, for example. There's also a TON more of those floating magic Heartless with music-based names. The ones that warp around are freaking annoying. XD
The tutorials ARE long, but they do involve actual fighting and stuff for the most part(And Organization members like Vexen and Zexion being amusingly pretentious and condescending to you), so its not as bad as Roxas' time at the beginning of KH2.
And while the plot takes FOREVER to start that doesn't mean you aren't playing fun missions beforehand... just that its all you're really doing. Heh.
Oh, and Larxene was condescending and mean-spirited towards Roxas on their tutorial mission together as well, of course.

I'd also like to add that the game was a lot more Disney in the beginning xD so the "real" plot starting at 200 days is more so KH specific plot. The Disney stuff was rolling all the way through. Cheshire cat is teh man, loved that world. Loved the missions too, Stealthing as the Org, seeing the Disney Worlds in a more outsider way; ah...Great playthrough. Haven't even started Mission Mode yet. Gonna take a break for another game but I will be back, which is saying a lot. I usually finish a KH game and not come back.
