Across the table, shrouded in mostly darkness, a figure looks out at 2 others.
"The reason I've asked you to come here today is because of a series of disappearances in the city. Yesterday's makes the fourth, and it's beginning to become very bad. So, on behalf of the RGRC, I'd like to ask you to investigate. I know that you have no reason to help, but it would be greatly appreciated."
The figure then slid a folder across the table, which opened up to show a picture of a large auditorium.
"All four were last seen near this building. A magic act is currently showing there, and there's reason to believe that the magician is behind the dissappearances. If you do choose to help, you would have to find a stealthy way into the building, so as not to look suspiscious or anything like that."
The figure's voice, now obviously female, and most likely young from the pleading tone it took, continued, "Please, I don't know how else to put this, but I'm sure others will vanish if this guy isn't checked out! Can you please help?"
[Treat this like a kind of speed rp, but with slightly longer posts. Like, no one-liners please.]

On the other side of the table, standing at a little more than four feet (the hat helped) Dee's lantern-eyes blinked owlishly. His patchwork shirt had somehow gotten tangled up with the beginnings (or endings) of a duster and it was a rather solemn expression whose effect was ruined by the fact that no one could see it beneath the cowl of his hat.
"Hmm. Dee accepts."
His eyes narrowed. That voice was... familiar. But.
"Why hasn't the Committee been called? They're very good. Dee remembers when he was here not so long ago."

Shin adjusted his glasses his yellow eyes glimmering a bit glancing at the odd looking…. Person? Next to him. “I suppose I can be of help, but afterword’s I would like to about taking a look at this…”Restorations comities date base, I’ve heard word of reports and such that interest me greatly.”
Shin said folding his hands a bit. He wasn’t sure how he got into this, working with this, man? Child? Creature? What ever it was. But this world… it seemed linked with the heartless somehow, and what ever information he could gather about them that he himself did not know could only be helpful.
“I will carry out my job to the best of my ability and leave a detailed report have no fear, but again, keep that data in mind.” He said glancing it his “partner” “that is a good enough point, I would assume they’re busy with other matters?” Shin mused a bit.

The figure, as much as the two could see of her, seemed unhappy at this question.
"The Committee isn't involved in this for the simple reason that they don't know everything about it. All they know about are the first two people, and they don't even know the location of the disappearances. I've gotten the rest of the information on my own. I don't want them involved too deeply, because if they're seen looking around, the person behind all this might get jumpy, and vanish. Or, he might decide to take out as many people as he can. Either way, it's not a good ending."
Nodding at the two, she said, "I thank you for taking the job. You'll need to leave right away. The next show is at 8 pm, and it's 6:30 pm now. The common time for disappearing is before the show, usually about 10 minutes."
Gesturing to the door, she motioned for them to go. "Please hurry. I don't want anyone else to get hurt."

Shin nodded a bit with a somewhat impressed look on his face. “I see so to avoid supposition, you hire to off worlders, I have to say that it’s a smart move” He said nodding a bit, admitably wondering why the woman was hidden so well…. It was understandable, but he would still be cautious of this fact.
“Well that sound like we’ll have plenty of time, I appreciate you contacting me so I wouldn’t be forced to rush.” He said getting up from his seat and waiting at the door for his rather short partner, more then a little curious what his story was, but he suppose he had plenty of time to figure that out a bit later.

Dee nodded at Shin's statement. It was indeed a wise move. He was a bit concerned, however, over the dangers of such a maneuver. If this mysterious woman had guessed wrong, she could be putting a great many lives at risk. All of this was predicated on the women being as good as she claimed she was.
Well. Dee's job was to make sure people were safe. Regardless, he would do his best.
"Dee will also do his best," the black mage said shortly. Getting up, he followed Shin to the door. Before walking out he asked for the person's name and tried to initiate the usual small talk.

Dee thinks the weather is nice today. And you?

Adena let out a sigh as the two left. She was extremely glad that she'd been able to find people to investigate the mystery.
She would have gone herself, but she too was a member of the RGRC, and well known.
'Good luck you guys,' she thought to herself, 'You're gonna need it...'
[Okay, I'm jumping you guys to the Auditorium now]
Shin and Dee arrive to see the auditorium looming above them. It's a big building, with a marked front entrance, and an alley leading to a back entrance.
Choice time:
Go through the front? Or through the back?

Shin left with the young boy, introducing himself, and thought it was safe enough to guess he was some kinda of child. Shin having a soft spot for children, well, children that weren’t annoying mindless brats, warned up to him a bit quicker then most.
As they arrived shin surveyed the area, and calculated a bit. “I say…. We take the back way, it may make us look suppose if someone notice us, but if we can eliminated any who watches quickly, we’ll be far more covered and can reach whatever ring master is running this show and neutralize him.” Shin said adjusting his glasses, wanting to get this over with so he could go about his day, and so no one was harmed as well

Shin was nice enough, Dee decided. A little ham-fisted and tall (but just about everyone was tall to Dee) but nice enough. They reached the auditorium in almost no time, having made the usual small talk. It only occurred to Dee, in retrospect, that they should have discussed the mission/murders together but by then the ride was over and they were at the building. Ah well.
Dee listened intently to Clow.
"For some reason, many people think Dee is young." Dee said, frowning. "Dee can pretend he got lost if anyone sees him walking into backstage...?"

At the back door, oddly, there were no guards whatsoever. Even at a normal show, there were usually large men to keep people from getting in the back.
The doors were the only things there, and so would be easy enough to open. However, the door is most likely locked.
Choice time: Just try to open the door? Or try to pick the lock?
[Sheesh, rping without a character is tough.]

Shin looked at Dee a bit oddly 'he's not young? Well a lot of kids say that...' Shin thought smiling lightly. "That's good thinking, we'll go with that, I'm sure I can hide before being noticed.. Shin said observing the door.
"this looks just a tad fishy..." Shin said Jiggling the handle lightly unsure of the prospects. "Do you know how to pick locks? I've never learned, I'ld rather be on the safe side, but we may have to just force are way in...." He said with on unsure look

Having survived on the construction of magical trinkets, Dee was at least tangentially familiar with architecture. He frowned at the doors as he approached them. Something was off about the situation, though he couldn't put his finger on it. He examined the doors critically and shook his head when Shin asked him about picking doors. That skill, alas, was not part of his repertoire of tricks.
However...
"Dee can get in. But it depends if there is a bar behind the door, or a lock. Small boom for lock. Big boom for bar. Maybe go through front is better idea?"
The little black mage put his hand to the doorknob. Though it was a long shot, perhaps it was open...?

As Dee touched the doorknob, there was the sound of cracking and a puff of smoke from under the door.
And then a pit opened up under Shin and Dee, dropping them into a basement like area.
As they looked around, they saw an open room with 4 large men standing in different parts of the room, looking threatening.
"Well, well," the lead one, a man with short cropped blonde hair said, "it looks like we've got some intruders. Let's take care of them, boys!"
The four men charged with a shout, brandishing a set of brass knuckles on each hand.

“Well you certainly have some tricks up your sleeve, well I think-“ Shin was a tad shocked as he was interrupted as the two fell to a basement like area. Shin glared at the blond hair man with annoyance. “Goons? Really, you could spring for monster of some kind?” he said with a smirk summoning his bow in a flash of darkness, already brandishing an arrow, firing it at one of the large man, aiming for his heart.
‘Hollow Thorn is more or less made from the heartless that inhabits me, so a shot to the heart should be enough to send him to the ground, though I hope he’s not to pathetic, I’ve never been a fan of killing..’ Shin thought taking aim at another bruiser. “Dee, I take it you have some means of defending yourself?” Shin asked hoping to get this minor annoyance out of the way rather quickly.

Dee winced. These people were largely unarmored. He was fairly certain that his most potent weapon would kill them in one hit.
Not good.
From the upper lip of his hat, a small fireball popped out, targeting the nearest thug's face. At the range they were at, it'd be difficult to miss.
"Please stay back," Dee announced, watching the thugs cautiously, "Dee does not want to kill you all by accident."
