Town Defense System and Technology

So yeah, through RPing, we've kinda scraped together what kind of technology RG DOES have currently in their arsenal. Now I want to get some kind of approval to spread it between the members of the Committee and maybe even come up with more tech that might help the town. Especially since we have Merlin the Wizard and Cid the techie. We should be invincible even when low on members.

• Cellphones
  

  Surprise, surprise. Cellphones. [yeah, I was surprised too when Leon pulled that out of his pant pocket] I propose each member have a cellphone [and KNOW that they have a cellphone] in order to communicate messages easily, makes it harder for anything to slip through us. Nothing fancy, just a standard black flip phone with a number pad and speed dial. All the member's numbers have been programmed into the cellphone. Free texting included for hilarity.

  
  
  
• Fire Alarms and Sprinklers
  

  I'd assume by now, that Madam Mim had tried to burn down RG plenty of times for Cid and Merlin to know what to do to counter her silly attempts. As shown in the recent RG Invasion thread in RG, Madam Mim had tried to burn down the town. Agaaain. Yeah well, we know what to do now. With Merlin's magic spells, Cid's technology, and of course, the help of the citizens, most of the occupied houses now have fire alarms! In addition to that, a sprinkler system created by magic spells that douses the houses in water [albeit a bit slow...]. The alarm would call the volunteers to come running with hoses or something. Tadaaaa. No burning town. Sprinkler spells needs to be re-magiked after each use and alarm needs to be reset.

  
  
  
• Claymore
  

  Yeah whatever they say, the Claymore is on our side. Until we win RG though, they'll be effective only against heartless. So don't forget to use it to your liking when you're up against nasty heartlesses. Once RG is won, they would be effective against anyone Cid programs them against.

Anything else you guys wanna see? I'm sure Cid or Merlin can whip it up. Keep in mind that it can't be giant guns...or destructive gummis of the such. More like things that makes it easier for us to defend the town.

Actually this relates very nicely to the Terminal in Ansem's lab. Is there a way we can use the technology to communicate with Tron better? For example, the cell phone's accessing the Hallow Bastion OS in order to get Tron's help or computer terminals so that citizens can do certain things (even if it's just to access information). Also I HOPE we don't lose the Claymores, otherwise I'd be unable to help with a certain character =(

Hrm. I think that kind of special communication would only be allowed for the founding members of RGRC, namely, Cid, Leon, Yuffie, Aerith and Merlin. Yeah?

I don't know if Merlin would use a cellphone, but I can't say I agree or disagree with either statement. Allowing the cellphones to access info. from Ansem's lab would be nice, but I think that should rest solely with the founding members, and those that said founding members trust enough. Mainly characters like Irvine, Cloud, and Tifa. Sora can't have one because he's probably as adept at using a cellphone as he is a computer...
