Physical appearance ~ : Michael stands at 6’3” when he straightens to full height, and weighs somewhere around 170 pounds. His skin looks unhealthily pale, and he has thin scars on his hands, fingers, and arms; and one across his chest that is not so minor. His body shows the signs that he once possessed a great deal of muscle, but that much of that former strength is now absent from his body. His body still has an athletic build, but not a blacksmiths, the way it had once been. His eyes are deep set, and there are shadows under them like bruises. The irises have a semi-dull green tint to them, and his pupils are usually dilated more than they should be. His jet black hair is disheveled and unruly and his entire body, though formidable, still somehow carries the feeling of weakness. He looks to have been good looking at one point, but he looks too sickly to be considered such now.
Clothing/Accessories ~ : Michael’s current attire consists of a pair of worn out blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and a black belt with a silver buckle. He wears a pair of white tennis shoes as well. All of his clothing seems to be second-hand and well worn. The only thing that seems out of place is the small, silver shield on a thin chain around his neck.

Alignment ~ : Chaotic Neutral
Behavior ~ :
Michael is a genuinely good person. Or he was, at least, until the drug got to him.
When he’s on small doses of the drug, he feels and acts as he would have normally in times past. He’s considerate of others and tries to help them when possible, though he would never actively admit it, and come up with another excuse for why. He would go out of his way to protect the weak from harm. He’s stubborn and can be construed as rude at times, but he’s not a bad guy at all. He is, however, filled with guilt and regret for the things he’s done in the past during these periods as well. This can cause him to be distant and brooding.
When he’s not on the “Crying Night” at all, however, he goes through the severe emotional and physical symptoms of the withdrawal. He becomes short tempered, and his stubbornness progresses to an almost unbearable level. However he is also subject to rapid mood swings, and can go from angry to depressed in the space of a second. He can’t think things through as clearly, and is often rash and impulsive. His craving for the drug gets to a nigh unbearable level at this point, and he’ll do almost anything to find a heartless in order to get his fix.
Michael is not proud of his addiction in the least, and his sense of honor keeps demanding that he quit; so despite the negative side effects, he’s usually experiencing withdrawal symptoms of some severity or another, and adds on to his guilt even more with each time he doses. He hasn’t quite found the strength necessary to break his addiction even though he has broken away from the unit that forced it upon him.

Black Synthesis
This is Michael’s skill to create the drug that he has become so addicted to; “Crying Night”. By combining certain herbs with the extracted essence of darkness from a heartless, the drug “Crying Night” is created. It is an incredibly addictive drug; and the withdrawal symptoms experienced by a user that tries to quit can be powerful…and not in a good way.
Strength: Weak
Uses: “Black Synthesis” can only be used once per thread, though it is assumed that he has one “dose” ready before the thread begins.
”Crying Night”
Michael injects himself with an “overdose” of the drug, “Crying Night”. This infuses him with the power of darkness, causing his irises to turn yellow, like the eyes of a heartless, and his pupils to slit, much like a cats. This allows him to catch every bit of light, and to see in almost complete darkness; but also makes him vulnerable to bright, sudden flashes of light. The drug also boosts his speed, strength, and endurance greatly for the limited duration of the “overdose”. He isn't strong enough to lift a car completely, but he could flip one. He's fast, but not ridiculously so; his movements are still easily followed with the exception of weapon strikes, which can get a bit blurry and hard to track. His increased endurance will allow him to fight without tiring for the duration of the drug, and fight with wounds that would incapacitate most other people. When it fades, however, the consequences on one’s body can be dire; greatly reducing the attributes that the drug had temporarily boosted. Wounds that he bore easily while under the drugs influence would slow him down greatly without its help. Unconsciousness results at the end of the second overdose in a single thread
Strength: Moderate
Uses: “Crying Night” can be used a maximum of twice per thread, with at least three posts between the end of the first dose and the beginning of the second. An overdose of “Crying Night” lasts for 6 posts.

~History~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[/b]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Michael was born the 2nd oldest of 4 children in the Quasi-Medieval world of Solidar. His family was of the lower-middle class, and they led a hard, but happy life. Michael and his older brother began to learn the craft of blacksmithing from their father at a fairly young age, in order to be able to help out the family as soon as they came of age. His younger brother was slated for the military, and his sister, the youngest, was to stay with his mother to help around the house till she found a suitable husband. For years, things went according to plan, Michael and Edward became blacksmiths apprentices at 14 (though Edward was a journeyman by the time Michael had started), and Charles went off to the military academy at 12. Their economic situation had become more favorable, especially after the other blacksmith in town closed shop and moved.
Then the trouble started. The neighboring fief began to prepare for war, a phenomenon that hadn’t occurred in Solidar for some amount of time. Apparently, the duke that had just risen to power wasn’t happy with his holdings. This caused the Raith family to begin conscripting people from all across the fiefdom. In addition, it also meant that the smithies had to do much of the preparations for war for free as well, greatly effecting the economic situation of his family once again; only this time he was old enough to worry about it.
His fortune turned, or so he thought, when the eldest son of the Raith family met him by chance one day. He had come to confirm something that he had read in his father’s diary, and upon discussion with Michael’s parents, came to the truth. Michael was the illegitimate son of the late Count Raith, and thus a member of the Raith family. His parents had only kept it a secret because they thought he would be happier not knowing at all. The current Count was none other than the eldest son, Dante. Dante suggested that Michael come to live with the Raiths for a while, and that his family would be taken care of. His family was hesitant to agree, but due to Michael’s stubborn nature, he wouldn’t take no for an answer when it involved the possible financial security of his family. After saying goodbye to his folks, he set off to the Raith Mansion.
He lived there for a year before he discovered the true purpose behind their offer to allow him to stay there. Under the law of the fiefdom, a male member of the ruling houses family must be a part of the military during times of war. They didn’t want to go, so they used his family as leverage to force him into service. As long as his family was taken care of, however, he cared little what happened to him. As he was accepted as a member of the Raith family, he also went into service as a knight, instead of a common soldier, so life didn’t go too sour for him.
As the war raged on, there were many casualties on both sides, and even more of the surrounding fiefs joined in the struggle to make their own claim for power. In the field, eventually Michael was forced to command his younger brother, Charles, in the field. The young knight made a gambit to take a key fort on the river when it was lightly defended. The plan was a great success, but his brother was killed in the battle. Grief stricken by the loss of his brother, and filled with guilt at the fact that he’d basically been the one to kill him; Michael talked to the Raiths about his role in the military. Dante agreed to relieve Michael of command if he agreed to take part in a separate project. Without hesitation, Michael accepted the offer, and was transferred into the Eons, a special group of soldiers that were given a “medicine” that made them fight better.
The “medicine” did more than that. “Crying Night” made Michael and the other Eons an unstoppable force on the battlefield, and turned the war in favor of their fief. They won one battle after the other until the other fiefs either lost their territories, or dropped out of the war. The Eons were taught to make this “medicine” as well from the “demons” that the other fiefs employed. It wasn’t until later that he realized the heartless were truly being controlled by his half-brother Dante. The Eons were used for many more missions before that point, and most of Solidar now belonged to the Raith family.
Michael learned of Dante’s secret only when he realized the negative effects the addiction was having on those who left the Eons. When he confronted his twisted half-brother, the heartless were summoned and commanded to kill the young Eon. Instead of doing that, however, they attacked Dante, the drug temporarily convincing them that Michael was one of them. They then commenced their attack on the heart of Solidar, and Michael was sucked from the world, and deposited in Traverse Town. Shedding his old uniform, Michael bought some used clothing that wouldn’t stick out as much, and set out to forge a new life…whatever life a hopeless drug addict could form.
