A new board...

Well I'm in a thread that needs the help of the canon crew, so I posted a thread in the bulletin board. It got me thinking however that we have a board for members to request quests, but we don't have one to request canon crew. And since most of them don't go looking for threads that need them (oh come on, it's true, and only because they don't have the time to do so), I figured why not give them their own board where members can post requests for a canon crew member or two to come and portray a canon or two for their threads. This board could also serve as a means of people requesting members who own certain canons come and join their threads as the requested canon.

An example would be the thread that Emi, pyjammies, and myself are in. I would post up an ad asking for a cc member to portray Dr. what's his name, and Oogie. A canon crew member would come in and say okay, and then go and portray those characters.

Now let's say Emi and Thane want to rp in Radiant Garden, and want a more canon experience. They could post a request in this thread asking for the person who owns Merlin, Cloud, Leon, or Cid (just some examples) to join for a bit, giving it that appeal.

Now these requests could deal with a plot that the rp has, or it could be totally random, I thought it would just be a neat and organized way to get attention to the members' needs for canon characters.

Would this feature be used on a regular or semi-regular basis? As it is QM requests aren't exactly exploding and as CCs aren't capable of giving away moolah, I'm pretty sure a RP request with ''CC needed'' in the title would do just as well. You are, currently, the only QM to ever ask for a canon crew to join a quest or a thread. I've also yet to have anyone ask me to join a thread as anyone other than my current slew of characters (usually Xaldin, dontcha know).

How about we just capitalize on that Open Thread listing that Lovey set up, and that the Canon Crew just uses that to appear in open threads like they should be doing.

^ The problem with that sir is while it's great to pop into Open Threads, we can also be summoned to Closed threads. So in a way, that additional board is /not/ that bad of an idea. Though for now, Dei's speculation of us not being asked for services is pretty true, this may change as people see CC's in various open threads, doing various things. I think it'd also help if when we did appear, we could give the player something too. It need not always be munny, could be items/materials/etc.

Where's our acting admin, gotta get on this new innovation =D While I'm on my roll here, Member Plots and just completing RP in general really needs a reward. It feels strange for saying that but the more "finished" threads we have, the more attractive the place looks. It also seeps story into the canon of the forum, which is necessary. Now I'm not encouraging one page plots but you know, you go for 3-4 pages and get something done, I think you earned something more than 5 munny per post.
