Physical Appearance
[x]
When people say that someone looks older than they actually are, they are usually correct. But it’s really rather rare to see someone who looks much younger than they actually are. Jonah just so happens to be one of those people. While he is actually several years older than his sister, he appears to be about her age, or perhaps even younger. This is due mainly to his appearance, though his personality certainly doesn’t help things. Hanging from the top of his head is a mop of untidy brown hair, which often gets in his eyes in the midst of a battle, though he refuses to get rid of it. Green eyes, alight with curiosity and joy sit several inches below, and are actually quite a bit larger than most people’s, though this is mainly due to the fact that he’s always trying to keep his eyes as wide as possible, so he can see every bit of the world around him.
Clothing/Accessories
Jonah’s choice of clothing isn’t nearly as eccentric as many other swordsmen from Ciella. While they may run around wearing brightly-colored tunics, with capes hanging from their backsides, he has chosen to wear the gear his father used to wear when he went out on adventures. A yellow shirt, with similarly colored gloves covering his torso and arms, are covered by a red tunic and a pair of brown and black belts. Brown trousers cover his legs, leading down into a pair of brown and orange boots, which padded soles with help him hunt more effectively. Completely the outfit are the scabbards for both of his swords, one on each of his hips.

Behavior
Jonah is a surprisingly timid man, though many people find it quite hard to believe. He doesn’t enjoy being the center of the attention – nor has he ever, actually – and prefers to just sit back and watch the world go by, allowing other people to worry about their own problems, rather than getting involved himself. He’s always been rather reserved, and has been pushed into the background because of it. Nobody’s ever really paid much attention to him, and he’s been happy to live like that. It helped quite a bit back in his days as a thief, after all. He’s not really all that outgoing, or crazy, nor does he have any strange personality traits that would cause people to pay attention to him. He’s just kind of… ordinary. Does that make him not worth knowing? Not really, though people still tend to avoid talking to him. After all, who wants to talk to some weird, uninteresting guy who gazes fondly at rocks? Nobody. Most people just tend to assume that he’s this quiet, timid guy, who’s wandering around the worlds with his sister. And while this isn’t entirely untrue, people never seem to realize that there’s quite a bit more to him than meets the eye. He’s not exactly the kind of person who can be judged just by looking at him. Sure, he’s ordinary, but he’s also got other aspects to his personality that other people never seem to realize exist.
It’s quite true that Jonah isn’t a man who likes to talk much. This is simply because he doesn’t really have anything in common with any of the adventurers he’s come across in his travels, and he can’t come up with anything to talk to them about. However, he’s always got something going on in that head of his. He’s constantly thinking, though his thoughts aren’t nearly as profound as some may think. Sometimes, he’ll just be wondering why the sky is blue, or why grass is green. Or why some people fight with playing cards or books when there’s much more conventional weapons out there. They may not be the most interesting of thoughts, but they just happen to be questions that Jonah desperately wants to find the answer to. He hates not being able to teach anything worth knowing to his sister, and as such, he’s determined to learn as much as he can – even if what he learns really has no point – and pass the knowledge on to her. It’s mainly because of her that he’s so curious, after all. But can anyone really blame him? Some people say that worrying about such insignificant things is stupid, but he figures that, if he’s going to learn anything, it might as well be something interesting.

Wishblades.

Supreme.
Type:
Primary.---
Becoming a Ciellan swordsman is not an easy feat. Once an aspiring warrior reaches the required age – sixteen, to be more precise – they must undergo rigorous training before they are even given the chance to wield a sword. From there, they must work underneath the greatest blacksmith in the land – an ancient man by the name of Leiras – for several months before they are finally allowed to wield a blade, the most sacred of weapons. It may seem rather ridiculous that they make warriors undergo such ridiculous tasks, but there is a method to the madness. Most of these swordsmen become guardians shortly after gaining their swords, and only the greatest of warriors are allowed to do so. Therefore, it may seem strange that someone like Jonah was allowed to, no? Well we’ll get back to that later.
Blade of the Guardian
The ‘Blade of the Guardian’, (which happens to be the blade that he wields in his right hand) was given to Jonah when he decided to become his sister’s guardian. This weapon is really rather plain-looking, which has caused many opponents to underestimate it’s true strength. A black handle, trimmed with gold, leads up to a four and a half foot long blade, sharpened to the point that it will not fail him, no matter what he desires to cut. A golden sheet of steel runes along one edge, which is more than strong enough to deflect blows from the mightiest of swordsmen.
Blade of the Thief
The dagger that Jonah used to wield in his days as a thief still remains with him to this day. Just in a very different form. The blade has lengthened to about four and a half feet long, and the handle has increased in length as well. The grip has developed a sea-green color to it, and is held in place by silver pieces on either side. The blade itself looks quite plain, though it seems to have a faint crimson sheen to it from time to time. Perhaps it’s just there to remind him of all the atrocities he committed in his youth, or perhaps it has no real purpose. Whatever the case, it’s creepy as hell.---
Blade of the Thief – Steel Shedding ~The true power of the Thief’s blade can be revealed surprisingly easily. Whenever he chooses to, Jonah can cause the weapon to ‘shed’, taking on the form of any other weapon he’s seen. While this may seem to be for show, it actually grants him access to the weapon’s abilities, and up to three regular abilities the original user has. These abilities can be of any form, whether it’s an attack or a passive one. He can also take the weapon, and in turn, abilities of an ally or an enemy, depending on who he chooses. He may only mimic one weapon at a time, but can switch to other weapons whenever he wishes. It is also worth noting that, should he decide to switch to another weapon, he will lose the use of any abilities he may already have. The sole exception to this are abilities that have already been activated by him, which will last their normal duration before fading from his arsenal.

Blade of the Guardian - Prodigy ~Though he never actually began to wield a sword until he decided to become a guardian, Jonah was destined to fight with one. Those who have seen him in battle could even go as far as to say that he’s a prodigy, with almost unparalleled fighting skills. He naturally attacks at twice the speed of a normal warrior, causing him to appear to be no more than a whirlwind of steel when he fights. However, his skills do not end here. By activating a glyph grafted into his skin, (more on this later) Jonah is able to move even faster, fighting at four times the speed of a normal warrior. This secondary ability does not last very long, though.

Blade of the Guardian - Hinder ~While Jonah is primarily a melee fighter, he also has some magical capabilities as well, which are only enhanced by the power contained within his sword. At certain points in a battle, he is able to coat his blade with a golden light. This light, whenever it makes contact with a foe, whether it’s their weapon or their own body, increases the cooldown time of all their abilities by three. And while this has a rather large cooldown time of it’s own, it can very easily turn the tide of a battle.
Uses ~

Blade of the Guardian – Wind Shear ~Whenever he so desires, Jonah can call upon the power within his sword once more, causing wind to gather around the blade of the weapon. With a slash of his sword, Jonah sends this wind away at about thirty miles an hour, allowing it to strike a foe, or an object, from a range. While this attack does very little damage, he can also use it to knock opponents back, or even to knock allies out of the way of other attacks, though he risks harming them by doing so.

Cooldown ~
One post.
Notes ~
Think of the ‘gust’ as being about the size of a baseball, albeit one made entirely out of wind. It’s not very big, but it can hurt if it hits you.
Blade of the Guardian - Drain ~[ Status Effect ]
At any given time, Jonah is able to coat his blade in a white light. This light, whenever it makes contact with something – be it an ability, or a foe – drains them of strength. For example, if his blade was to make contact with a Strong-level ability while it glows with this light, it would become a Moderate-level ability. If he was to make contact with a Moderate-level ability, it would become a Weak-level ability. And if the ability was weak to start with, it becomes unavailable for the duration of this status effect. If he was to touch the ability itself, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a weapon or regular ability. It will just be lowered in strength. However, if his sword was to touch the foe themselves, he has a choice of which ability he wants to lower, though it has to be a normal one. It is also possible for Jonah to take the drained AP and add it to a non-weapon ability on himself, or on one of his allies, thus increasing their ability’s strength. Once this status effect wears off, all AP is returned to it’s normal owner.

Lasts for three posts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ciella. A beautiful land, consisting of many smaller homes leading upwards towards the majestic palace.
Well, that’s the Ciella that the travelers see.
Jonah’s story begins underneath the main city. In the disgusting, putrid slums, shadowed by the ‘wonderful’ city above. The slums where all but the wealthiest of people were forced to live. The slums where there was a good chance you would get beaten to a pulp just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The slums that Jonah would learn to call home.
The De Lucas were once one of the richest, well-renowned families in Ciella, made famous for developing children who, more often than not, went on to become leaders, or warriors. But one day, their lives came crashing down around them. Shortly after Jonah’s mother, Charlotte, became pregnant with him, their home was robbed. Everything they owned was taken away from them, and they were forced to leave before they would be taken away by force.
The transition was not easy for the pair of them, but the arrival of Jonah a few months later made them realize that perhaps money wasn’t everything. Perhaps this boy, this beautiful child, would be enough to keep them from giving up hope completely. Most of Jonah’s childhood went by rather uneventfully. He grew up, gained a sister at the age of four, made some friends, attended school, and just enjoyed his life.
That all changed when he turned eight. While the family was just going for a simple walk, to get away from their home for a little while, they were attacked by a group of bandits. His parents were slain mercilessly before his eyes, and they took away Isabella, his little sister. However, the bandits made a deal with young Jonah. As long as he worked alongside them, robbing the ‘golden folk’ as they ironically called the richer residents of Ciella, his sister would stay alive. And as he had nothing else to return to, he agreed.
For two years, he fought alongside them. Two years of stealing whatever he desired, instilling fear within the hearts of Ciella’s residents, and killing anyone who got in his way. What really confused him, though, was one thing. He was starting to like it. He began to look forward to the next ‘mission’, where he might get to snatch some jewelry out of some elderly old crone’s hands, or getting the chance to slit some over-confident guard’s throat.
As his third year as a member of the bandits – Ciella’s finest, as they referred to themselves – approached, something happened that not only made Jonah realize what he had become, but altered the course of his life forever. That night, they were to break into the palace. The largest building in all of Ciella, with the most security. And, they hoped, with the best treasures. Unknown to Jonah, however, the bandits brought along his sister, who they felt that they had no further use for. After all, they already had Jonah wrapped around their fingers. The main reason they brought the girl along was because of an ancient tale, telling of a curse that had been placed upon the palace’s treasures. If any but those of the royal family were to touch the treasures, the spirit of Iera, a long-deceased goddess, would kill them on the spot. So, why not have the girl try and touch the treasure first? If she touched it and died, why did they care.
And that they did. Before Jonah could stop them, they forced young Isabella to touch the largest of the treasures, a golden crystal situated atop an intricate pillar. There was a bright flash of light, a blood-curdling scream, and the bandits were dead. There stood Isabella, innocent and covered in blood. With a bloodthirsty look in her eye. However, seeing her brother caused her to return to herself, just in time for the palace guards to race down and apprehend the pair.
For three weeks they sat in a prison cell, being fed food through a metal slot in the door, their statements that they were innocent falling on deaf ears. It seemed as though they would die there. Until Queen Kyoko, the powerful but just ruler of the land came to them. Rather than having them executed, she offered Jonah something he could not refuse. As long as he would promise to look over his sister – who, she would go on to inform him, now had the terrible power of Iera trapped within her – he would be allowed to go free.
And that he did.
For five years, he went back to school, became a swordsman, and kept an eye on his sister, looking out for any signs that Iera was regaining control. But those years went by, and nothing happened. Their lives went on uneventfully, and they were happy.
Until the Heartless came.
Rather than fighting them, Jonah decided to take his sister and flee, as his weapons seemed to be unable to do anything to the creatures. He sought out the age of a witch, the last of her kind, who lived on the edge of the city. There, she said she would give him power, as long as he helped exterminate these creatures, wherever they appeared. He agreed. She placed a glyph on his chest that not only allowed him to traverse the worlds, but that also granted him the ability to fight the Heartless, and anyone else who dared to threaten him or his sister.
Four years have passed since then, and he has been travelling the worlds, with the aid of Isabella, helping those in need and destroying anyone who associated themselves with the darkness. But even to this day, he fears that Iera will arise again. While his sister is able to release the goddess’ power from time to time – though he has begged her countless times to stop doing so – he fears that her power will fail. That she will fly into an unstoppable rampage.
That he will be forced to kill her.
