Audition post (400 words):
The Lord of Twilight had been struck down. He had completed his Kingdom Hearts, and the insignificant Keybearer rose up against him. The insolent brat! Did he not know who he had been rising against?
But, quite obviously, the twit had known what he was doing, and he actually managed to get lucky and win. But only because of his friends' help. If not for the other little brat and that twit of a king's lackeys, that Sora would not have made it anywhere near him.
It was a mistake that had cost him a lot. The most of it all was his goal, Kingdom Hearts. He could almost cry...except, he had no feelings. He could not even remember what it was like to, and he did not long for those times like all of the rest. Unlike the rest, he could see the true goal. And the others were so naïve to think that he would have only wanted a heart again. No, he realized the truth of it all: Nothingness is superior to all. He truly wanted to gain ultimate power.
The others feared loss, as they feared loss of their peculiar form of nonexistence. But Xemnas understood the true meaning of power, and understood the path to gaining it was one of small losses for the greater gain.
Realizing he had gotten lost in his own mind, Xemnas brought himself back to reality. He was staring as the place where there used to be a giant lock. Now, there was a path leading up to the top of the castle. The path...was open. Like his Kingdom Hearts was...for a time. But he had lost it, and now he was going to have to make a choice. He could get it back, or he could find an alternate route to power.
An alternate route...yes, now that is a thought. But none other than Kingdom Hearts can allow me what I wish. Xemnas knew he would have to recreate his Kingdom of Hearts, but there would be a time for that. Yes, he thought as he walked up to the railing to stare down at his world. There will be a time for it. And when that time comes, I shall be ready to command the Castle of Hearts to obey my commands...
How much had that immense power had felt good! The hate and the anger had given him strength, and he had been so close to realization of his ultimate goal. But, when it was wrested away, Xemnas had paid dearly. It is time for me to reveal my presence to the rest. I must regain what I lost. And so he would, and those who stole what was his would pay dearly for their mistake.
