Purchasing an Ability Slot for Arc~ CoverSeemingly, Arc teleports and stands in front of Emi. He wouldn't let the Heartless hurt her.Arc leaps out in front of his ally, hurtling faster than is normally possible, and takes the hit. Can be paired with Draconic Endurance so the blows are more easily shrugged off. Strength: Weak Uses: One per post, three post cooldown, unlimited uses. Hm, you'll have to be more specific, I'm afraid. Anyone can jump in front of another person. You don't need an ability to do that. Here's what I suggest.
a) Give him a speed boost that only activates when he's trying to jump in front of someone and take a hit (Some sort of adrenaline rush that makes him x times faster when he's saving a life)
OR
b) Allow him to form a bond that, for however many turns or hours or whatever, means that Arc will take -all- or a -percentage- of damage that another character takes. i.e. Emi gets struck with fire spell, Arc takes the damage despite being across the other side of the city.

I'm sorry, I guess it was clumsily worded...
I meant that it gave him a speed boost, allowing him to seemingly teleport in front of his ally. My bad...

So you gave him a speed boost similar to that of teleportation?
Mention that he'll have to be within Emi's view...or do you mean he can teleport all the way from across the city if Emi was in trouble and about to take a hit?

Not all of the way across a city, no, this is a weak ability we're talking about. I'm thinking more like across a small battlefield, nothing earthshattering.
