Character Personality: At first sight, Selphie seems a rather scatterbrained girl. She’s inconstant and bubbly; a little girl in a grown-up’s body. A spunky young woman with a carefree spirit Selphie seems out of place in a military academy because of her innocent appearance and light-hearted personality. Her happy-go-lucky disposition and laid-back attitude tend to catch others off guard. This lively girl adds spunk and excitement to any adventure. Her happy go lucky attitude towards life makes others believe that she isn't as intelligent as others; however her leadership in extra curricular activities and her knowledge in technical skills show that she's not what everyone thinks she is. Selphie is energetic and helpful, professional in her line of work. Very protective of her friends, her home, she’ll do anything and everything to make sure they’re safe. Selphie is a girl who has no fears. Peace and love are really the only two things that are always on her mind.

She has smallish to medium green eyes. Her hair is mid brown in color, and has a very, very different style. It's short, however at the bottom, it has emphasized flicks. Her hair is short, she has bangs and her hair seems to be split into 3 major sections. This is very eccentric, maybe to show her bubbly personality. Her eyebrows aren't as emphasized because of her fringe. Her nose is thin, and Caucasian shaped but with a lower bridge. Her mouth is small and her head is heart shaped. Her ears aren’t visible because of her hair style. Her normal costume is yellow in color and also striped. It's very short and it's been noted that sometimes you can see her underwear in shots. It is thick strapped and has pockets at the back. It zips up at the front, with a zipper with a clam shell style. She has mid lower leg dark brown boots, which seem multi layered. Her jewelry consists of a silver pendant. On her left arm, she has a blue ribbon wrapped around her arm haphazardly. This is probably to create a balance in color.

Weapon Appearance: The ends of the Morning Star were equipped with spiked metal balls to cause more damage. It is a plain weapon similar to the Nunchaku, but it is fairly effective.

Character History

Selphie grew up in an orphanage with people she would find again later in life, and joined Trabia Garden at a fairly young age. She met Squall and friends during her SEED exam at Balamb Garden, and was thus caught up in saving the world. Selphie is bubbly and energetic, but she can also be very sensitive, and hates when people fight. She loves all kinds of music, dance and videogames, and spends hours surfing the internet and creating webpages. She has a bit of a crush on Laguna, whom she refers to as "Sir Laguna", and thanks to Marie, has now developed a passion for Billy Joel, who become honored enough to be called "Sir Billy." Selphie tries to cheer everyone up as best she can, and spends a lot of time with Milo, out on the beach, or with Marie and Astala, in the music room. She secretly keeps a diary where she writes about her adventures and her unending crush on her best friend, Irvine.

Selphie, as you can see, is an orphan, along with Squall, Quistis, Zell, Irvine, Seifer, and Ellone. They all lost their parents in the Sorceress' War. (This was long ago.) She and the others were all taken care by a woman who they used to call "Matron" (Edea Kramer, Sorceress). Selphie and the others (except Irvine and Ellone) never remembered that of any sort, or probably remembered it vaguely when Irvine mentioned this to the gang when they were all at Trabia Garden. Why? It's because of the use of the GF. For the exchange of its power, it stores itself into your memories. The orphanage gang loved Matron very much. Selphie was remembered as "Sefie" and "was spunky" or "full of energy", you might say. Then she decided to live in Trabia Garden when she got older.

A young lady woke up in her dormitory, where all the other students slept as well. Her room wasn’t all that big but it would work for her. She yawned, getting up slowly. The sun shined through her window, causing her to squint from the brightness. She slowly adjusted to it. She looked at her clock, her eyes widened. ”Oh no! I overslept.” She said to herself as she quickly slipped out of bed. She was about an hour late for class. She quickly put her uniform on. Slipped her shoes on and was about to head out, grabbing her bag as she did. She had taken a glance into the mirror; she had forgotten to do her hair. It was all messy and not in the style that others usually saw it in. She grabbed her brush from her tabletop. Quickly brushing her hair, and then flipping the ends out. She smiled at herself, and then quickly ran out of her room.

She seemed to race down the hallways, running past other students. She brushed past them. Others who knew her waved to her. Yet, she didn’t wave back. She was too occupied with trying to get to her class on time, though she was already late. What was the hurry? Selphie was one to always be on time. Well, maybe not. But, it was the thought that counts. Then as she zoomed by someone else crashed into her. They both instantly fell to the ground. Selphie landed on her behind, dropping the books that were in her hands. She rubbed her behind, ”Oowwie!” She said to herself.

She looked over at the other student. ”Sorry.” She said to her. The other girl just smiled at her. It was most definitely a new girl. ”Hi!” She said to her, happy to see a new face around. ”You must be new.” She said to her. She had at that moment forgotten about being late to her first class. ”My names Selphie.” She said introducing herself. ”Wanna join the Garden Festival? I’m part of committee.” She said asking her, straight out if she wanted to help with the Garden Festival that Selphie organized each year.

The girl smiled at her. ”I might take up the offer, Selphie.” She said to her. ”My names Fiona. And, I am new here. It seems as if everyone seems to notice I’m new here. Is it that obvious? And I transferred here from Galbadia Garden.” She said to Selphie, introducing herself.

Selphie stuck out her hand infront of her, for Fiona to shake. Fiona smiled and took Selphie’s hand, shaking it. ”I think I’ve also become lost.”She said to her, a have embarrassed smile on her face.
”That’s no problem, Selphie can help.” Selphie said as she then stood up. Also helping Fiona up, gathered her things helping Fiona also pick up her things. ”I’ll show you around, make it up for bumping into you.” She said, putting a thumb up into the air. Signaling to Fiona that it was all okay. ”Work our way around the Garden, I’ll show you around maybe even introduce you to others.” She added.

With that, Selphie showed the new girl around the Garden. Working her way from the dormitory in a clockwise manor so as to end up back at the dormitories, or end where ever Fiona was heading. She showed her where the library was, the training section, the classes, the infirmitory where she introduced her to the doctor, the cafeteria and where the festival was to be held. Selphie actually talked a lot but Fiona didn’t mind, or atleast it didn’t seem like it. Selphie continued to ramble on and then she glanced at the clock. She realized what time it was. She had missed her first class and part of her second. ”Oh crap.” She exclaimed. ”I forgot where I was headed, I’m late for class.” She said. Fiona understood and was sorry for taking up Selphie’s time. Selphie again put the thumbs up again and said it was no problem. She hoped to encounter Fiona again. She then ran to the second floor where her class was at. As she entered the teacher and classmates looked at her. ”Your late again, Selphie…” Her teacher said to her, disappointed.

”I’m sorry, Instructor. I was showing a new transfer student around.” Selphie said to her teacher as she took her seat. Then as the class went on all eyes had been taken off of her for awhile..

Uhh this would be too canon to Final Fantasy 8, especially when you throw in characters like Squall and Seifer who have already been introduced in the KH game under totally different circumstances.

She was given permission from Avenger to allow for the portrayal of Selphie as an FF canon rather than a KH version. As for the biography, I'll quickly run that past Avenger to get his thoughts.

The End: I would highly consider replaceing this with "Rapture", which is pretty much Selphies "The End" technique, but can miss. The origional "The End" ability never miss's, and is always a 1 hit kill, which would be illegal.

Also, please add an explanation as to how Selphies limit breaks can be achieved, as these abilities obviosly cannot be spammed.

Good question, however, iv already thought of it. If she intends on useing the abilities in there traditional sense, as a "Limit Break" then she would be very limited in ever useing the abilities in the first place, and we would allow such. Though, if it is not properly defined as a "Limit Break" and is not as such used like one, then there will be some extra changes yes.
