"The world with the coliseum," Leon said with a nod to indicate he knew the place. As he said this Leon was hopping backward just a short distance so that Rukio's knee couldn't reach his side. As his gunblade left its lock against Rukio's sword though he moved it up and to his left so that it would knock against the opponent's raised right leg. He used the flat side this time and didn't swing hard so that it wouldn't hurt the kid if it hit.
But Leon had moved to evade Rukio's kick at about the same time the boy had started the attack. Again, almost like he knew it was coming.

"Neither," was the answer he got as Leon's body turned ninety degrees on his right foot and leaned back a little, just barely letting Rukio's punch pass by. Because he'd swiped his sword arm to his left before turning he was now in a prime position to swing it right back, underneath Rukio's extended left arm and into his body. Of course the kid should be able to block it, but he still used the flat side just in case.

Once again Leon returned to the pose of letting his blade rest on his right shoulder.
"Something like that," he said. In truth, that was only half the story.
For his next move Leon repeated his very first. He simply walked toward Rukio at a normal walking pace and then swing his gunblade from his shoulder as soon a she was close enough in a downward right-to-left arc.

Rukio's kick was met with a kick from Leon himself. Now the two had both their blades and their legs locked against the other fighter's.
"So, feel loosened up for a real battle yet?"

Leon didn't answer but he nodded to Rukio's words and put his gunblade away. In the back of the room it seemed the Queen was muttering something about getting more impressive help.
"We'd better save our strength now and stay alert."

"If that sword is all you have you'll probably have a hard time against the Heartless, not to mention assassins," the older warrior advised Rukio. He looked away for a moment, as if thinking, then turned back. "I'm not much of a teacher, but I do know some magic. If you have any talent for it I might be able to teach you a small spell to help you out."

Leon proceeded to instruct Rukio in the basics of casting magic. If he was a trained warrior it would be easier for him to pick up on, but being from a world like the Olympus Coliseum was sure to help.
"All right, that's the theory. Let me show you."
Leon pointed his hand at the hand and focused. Red-hot flames began to gather around his open gloved palm before concentrating together into a burning orb. It shot out from the swordsman with a bang and exploded before it hit the wall(Leon wasn't foolish enough to cause damage to the temperamental queen's castle).
"It won't be exactly like mine but I can probably give you a Fire spell if you'd like," he concluded.

"Sure. Just one thing first."
Leon raised his right hand and looked at it. He'd seen Merlin do this tons of times but never tried it himself. Hopefully he could pull this off or he'd have just wasted time disappointing the kid. He closed his eyes and after a few seconds his hand began to sparkle with strange but faint mystic energy. The fire-caster opened his eyes again and reached over to Rukio, placing it on the taller swordsman's shoulder. The glow vanished, but Rukio himself would definitely feel some new power flow through him.
[ Rukio learned FIRE ]
Fire The most basic fire-elemental spell, often taught to beginner magicians. A baseball-sized orb of red and orange flames will appear from either the caster's hand or their weapon and shoot forward at high speed in a straight line. The orb explodes into a one meter diameter cloud of flames upon impact, burning their target in addition to the force of the missile.
Strength: Weak uses: 15 uses per battle
"All right," the teacher said, backing several steps away from Rukio and taking out his sword again, this time holding it horizontally across in front of himself. it was a defensive stance. "Try it out on me."
