Here he was, in the one world Heartless called their own. And he was one of them, though in his mind, he was far superior, for he held onto his humanoid form, AND to his intelligence. And few Heartless were able to do that. He swore he'd never come to this place, for it held no value to him, but here he was. He mused that it was just his nature to seek this place out at least once. But this world, a world of pure darkness, he surmised, would have uses for him, among which an army of Heartless was one. The other being having a safe haven that few would dare tread. All in all, it may have been instinct that drove Zander here, but it was his intellect that brought forth the possibilities this world held.

((Ugh. I felt my muse destroyed after deleting that awesome post...let's see what I can do.))
A black and purple portal opened up in the middle of the wasteland that was the End of the World. Out of the portal, a voice slowly grew louder and louder and louder. The voice sounded like a scream of anger. The portal finally spit out a black cloaked individual who landed on the ground with a thud and rolled 3 times before coming to a stop about five yards away from the other man.
The man who had just arrived slowly stood up in a drunken manner drifting from left to right very slowly and cautiously. He shook his head a couple times and opened his eyes very widely. He eventually came to a halt and looked around at his surroundings. "'Oly fraggin' shyt. Where da 'ell did da portal spi' me out en dis time?!" The black haired man reached down to make sure that his steel leg was still strapped on tightly and he spun around quickly only to run smack dab into the other individual.
"What da eff? Get da 'ell outa mah way! Ah need ta figger out where da 'ell I am." The man continued walking around the person he had just collided with only to stop about four feet away to realize that he had just passed a person who could have told him where he was. He spun back around on his heel and pointed his finger at the man, laughing in a sly way. "Ya clever dawg. Ah git yahr game. So tell me, what werld is dis werld?"
((Not as good, but entertaining nevertheless))

A man that Zander payed no heed to when he first got here had certainly garnered it when he collided with him. After getting up and brushing himself off, he started staring the man down, even as he walked away. He was thinking about just stabbing the guy in the back, but it lacked a certain "finesse" about it, so he didn't. But the window for such an option soon passed, for the guy with a metal leg had turned around. When he spoke to Zander he replied with a slight sneer, and he brought out his cane and twirled it.
"This world, dear chap, it called End of the World. It is home to the Heartless, both small and large. And I suppose I could technically call this world my own home, but I'd rather not. Though devoid of all things I hate, it just doesn't have that "quality" I am looking for in a home." He walked up to the man, and even though this world was devoid of light, whatever allowed one to see would let this strange man see the Heartless symbol on Zander's chest.
"My name is Alezander Bartholomew Caesar, at your service. And pray tell, what is your name?"

Larenzo squinted his eyes when Zander gave the name of the world. He thought about it for a second and saw the man approach and heard him present his name. "Now 'ang on, mah good man. Where ees da logic een namin' werld da 'End o' da Werld'? Eesn't dat...er...contradictory to what eet reely ees?" Larenzo waited about a second and then realized that his question was completely off topic and unnecessary.
"D'name's Larenzo Dem. Yah call meh Larreh 'n' Ah kill ya-" He became silent when he noticed the Heartless emblem on the Zander's chest. His expression grew very solemn. His eyes moved from the emblem, to Zander's eyes, to the emblem, and back. "Well. Dat's what ya mean by dis place bein' yah're 'ome.... D'ya know what Ah do ta Heartless?" Larenzo reached to his back towards his machete. "Ah comment on deir snazzy emblem!" Larenzo scatched the back of his head roughly and then held out his hand to shake Zander's

Zander lightly shook the man's hand, if he could even be called a man.
"Pleasure to meet you Larenzo." He let go of the man's hand, and turned around.
"I have plans for the creatures of this world, these Heartless. Sure I may be one of them, but I hardly consider myself such. The Heartless that most battle are nothing but wretched little pests. They're only good for distractions, unless you have enough of them." He laughed.
"Now that won't do. For what I have in mind, it will take far more then an army of insignificant little Heartless. I seek to make Heartless of all types my minions, for while the small ones can swarm their enemies, the larger ones, the more powerful ones, they..." He paused, as if he was thinking of his next few words. "They can hold their own against most normal enemies." He turned back toward Larenzo.
"So why are you here? I told you my plans, it is only fair you tell me yours."

Larenzo stared blankly at Zander throughout most of the last half of the monologue and a good minute after he had finished. Then Larenzo scrolled up to make sure he hadn't written anything in his last turn of dialogue to make Zander think that he cared. After he realized that he hadn't, he wiped imaginary sweat off of his head and made a "phew" noise.
"Ya 'ad meh worried der, brudda. Y'see, Ah reely t'ought dat Ah 'ad actualleh cared about why ya were 'ere, but seence yah're so kind ta ask why Ah'm 'ere, lemme tell ya. Y'see, Ah 'ave a problem wit' mah portals. One minute, Ah may be sittin' on da toilet, da next Ah may be sittin' een da middle o' da streets o' Radiant Garden. Eet reely 'as become a major problemo ta mah day-ta-day activities. 'Ave ya ever tried brutalleh murderin' someone when suddenleh yah're picked up an' dropped inta Atlantica? Eet's difficult."

"That is a rather bad predicament to be in. No matter, I'm sure it will work out eventually." Though he thought it would be funny to end up in a new world while doing something embarrassing. Well, not for him, but it would be to watch it.
"What do you say we take a stroll through this dark world?"

Larenzo stared at Zander, trying to sum up what this guy was all about. The man had just asked Larenzo to "take a stroll." There were two things that could be up with this man, he was either extremely prissy...or he was gay. It became a problem when Larenzo couldn't decide which one he'd rather have to deal with.
"A'ight. I s'pose weh cood take a walk down 'Ell Spawn Lane."
((Could you elaborate where in TEOTW we are? It would help a little bit.))

(It's the area where Sora and Co first start out in KH1 when they get to EOTW)
"Then let us begin." He began to walk away, and with Larenzo following, he spoke once more.
"And for the record, I'm very much attracted to women. They're my favorite prey. Very tasty. Not very filling though." He laughed. And as he did, five Heartless appeared. They were Shadows. He looked at them and sneered.
"Take this meager versions of Heartless for example. Alone, it won't last long to a bigger, badder enemy, such as you or myself. But in a swarm, of let's say twenty or more, they can do quite the damage. Humans are rather much the same. There are few who are very dangerous alone. In swarms they are much more fearsome, even to the strongest Heartless." He laughed again.
"But what a thrill it is to hunt them down and to devour their hearts, to drain them of the very thing that makes them human. And what I seek, is the power to hunt them down in groups. That is what true power is. The power to hunt in plain sight, to hunt multiple targets at once, and the power not to fall to those targets."
He looked at Larenzo. They were nearing a white wall now.
"So what exactly is it you wish to gain over your life?"

((Whoops, sorry I've been gone. Work and school sucks))
Larenzo watched the Heartless appear without ever making a move. He felt a hint of disgust well up inside of him. This man was acting as if he was fascinated by them. Then again, he WAS one of them. Larenzo suddenly snapped out of his thought bubble when Zander had addressed him.
"So what exactly is it you wish to gain over your life?"
Larenzo took some time to think about it. For once, he was going to actually take a question directed towards him seriously. "Eterna' powah. T'is da only way ta survive dese days. Ah was originalleh s'posed ta beh a High Summoner on mah world. Until-" Larenzo was about to say "Until your disgusting kind took my life away," but he stopped himself. "Until fate took my life through my fingers."

Zander sensed the man's hesitation, though it would have been hard not to.
"If I may make an inquiry. I would venture that you are not a high summoner because Heartless attacked your homeworld, and destroyed it. Would that be correct?"
Zander laughed. "It's ironic is it not? You loathe creatures like us, yet at this very second you are keeping company with one." He turned to this Larenzo.
"Look, I am deeply sorry for your loss, I too know what it's like to lose your world. Though not in the same way you did mind you." He took a deep breath, and then continued.
"I was once part of a feared family on my world. We practiced the dark arts, and we used human sacrifices. The people of this world retaliated and killed everyone in my family. I'm the only survivor of this attack. Though my world may still very well be in one piece, I have lost everything I held dear. And once I achieve the power I seek, that world shall perish. I will not allow them to get away with the murders of my family." His Heartless instincts began to kick in at this moment, and he turned, swiping at Larenzo. A few moments later and he regained his composure.
"Sorry about that. There are times when my instincts get the better of me for a moment or two."

Larenzo listened to Zander's tale with genuine interest. He began his story sounding as if he was a martyr, but it became more and more apparent that he was simply the villain of his world. This was truly an interesting character indee-
Larenzo jumped out of the way at the last second, having his cloak being swiped by Zander. The first thing Larenzo did was reach to his neck for his chakram, but then stopped. It was clear that this man did not want to fight at all.
"So ya were nevah a 'Eartless ta baygeen wit' were ya?" he said with sincerity. Zander clearly had trouble controlling the Heartless instincts which meant that he hadn't always had the abilities of a Heartless.
"'N' bah da way, mah world was nevah destroyed. Just mah village. Da man who controlled da 'Eartless was only lookin' ta betray mah people. What's da point een destroyin' yahr own world anyway, right?"

Zander chuckled lightly. This Larenzo was turning out to be quite the fellow. He decided he would answer truthfully, as he had been doing. He would begin to lie if his view of him ever changed.
"To answer your question, no I was not a Heartless to begin with. I was human once. But as to whether or not other worlds would have considered me so is not so transparent. To them I was a monster, a fiend. I was a vampire." He began to walk again, and motioned for Larenzo to follow.
"I see, so your world still exists. I suppose that isn't so bad. As for your last little comment, if that was a reference to my plans, then this is my answer." He paused, sighed, then replied with a simple answer.
"Monsters like myself always seek the destruction of worlds. I just have priorities." He was in no way hinting that if he ever came across Larenzo's world he would destroy it, but if his instincts were to get ahold of him, there was no doubt in his mind that it would fall, given the right circumstances.

A vampire? Larenzo looked at Zander with a raised eyebrow. He always thought that vampires were invulnerable against everything except wooden poles, garlics, and crosses. Guess you could add "Heartless" to that list.
"Yah'd beh sahprized as ta 'ow bad eet reely ees. All o' mah friends are dead. Mah famileh, too. Even if Ah wanted ta go back ta mah world, dey wouldn't 'cept meh. Ah was taken from mah world an' trained een da arts o' Dark Summonin'. Dat's not mah world's way o' life. Ah'm forced ta watch from afar as oders live da life Ah 'ad once wanted." Larenzo made sure to emphasize the past tense in his final sentence. He no longer wants the life of a High Summoner, not that he could get it anyway.
"Don' get meh wrong. Da destruction o' worlds ees a fantastic thing. Ah've 'ad more fun doin' dat den anehting else. Well, not da destruction o' WORLDS. Ah still don' 'ave da abilities ta pull somethin' dat amazin' off. Ah was simpleh statin' dat da Mage dat controlled da 'Eartless 'ad no rayson ta destroy 'is own world."
Larenzo stopped. He probably over-explained himself yet again. He often does that a lot when he gets into actual conversations. He had to admit that, for a Heartless, this man wasn't half bad. Larenzo could actually get along with him pretty well.
"What exac'ly ahr dese 'priorities' ya speak o'?" Larenzo could use a little fun.

Zander listened carefully as Larenzo spoke. When it came his turn to speak again he smiled, and replied, choosing his words carefully.
"My priorities are simple as they sound. For starters I seek the power needed to destroy the worlds, whether it be by myself, or with an army of Heartless. Next comes revenge. I'll use my power to slaughter the people who saw it fit to kill my family, and then I'll turn my homeworld into a pit of darkness and despair. As a sort of warning to other worlds, if you will. Then after all is said and done, I may finally give into my Heartless instincts and go from world to world, stealing their hearts. Though I shall keep enough of my wits about me to leave the worlds of any allies I might gain between now and then well enough alone." He paused for a brief moment.
"In fact, I may even help said allies to defeat certain enemies that they have. Ones who ruined the lives of said allies' friends and family." Zander was hinting at a sort of alliance between the two. A sort of I scratch your back you scratch mine proposal if you will. Whether or not Larenzo would accept this offer would come to light in a matter of moments.
(Sorry for the delay, between school, other rps, quests, and me being sick the last couple of days, I really didn't have enough time to get to this one. I'll try to make sure that this doesn't happen again.)
