Demyx looked rather pleased with himself for having taken out so many pirates with one move. He wasn't usually this good in a fight!
The mood kept up until he turned around to see himself surrounded by pirates. Crud.
Going slightly pale, he managed to dodge out of the way of a few sword and knife slashes and slide down the rail of the stairs at his back.
"Um, Vexen? Help?Please!?"

"Um, Vexen? Help? Please!?"
Reaction time. "Anti-Persona, busy yourself with Demyx's woes! These roguish peons will be mine to face, and mine alone!" Yes that ticked them off, why do you ask? The Anti-Pirate swooped off and through the mass of pirates towards the staircase below Demyx, tossing the struggling pirates at the bottom towards a watery doom, the creature assumed it's place between Demyx and the oncoming swoop of pirates, unleashing it's string of blows against them. It had sustained damage in the face of the earlier pirates though-- it wouldn't be able to remain indefinitely. Though it had been able to defeat a fair amount of pirates. The pirates in question surged forward in both cases. The pirate crew may not be especially strong, but their numbers were great, their loyalty even greater. This would be a tougher battle than one might think...

As the dark image of the pirate leapt in front of him, it managed to knock Demyx down the stairs of the part of the ship he was standing on.
"Owowowowow!" was the only thing heard as the Melodius Nocturne tumbled down, caught himself at the bottom, and stood up, back to back with Vexen.
"Uh, hey Vexen... Mind if I drop in?"
Not the best line he could have said, but in the circumstances...

BRRFT! went the AntiPirate as it slid forward at an astounding rate for the nearest pirate. It delivered a rousing flow of blows to the fellow, battering him fully, and then moved on to the next systematically. A wayward sword blow, however, embedded itself in its darkened shoulder. The Anti-Persona couldn't last too much longer.
Vexen scowled as he looked down at the incompetant Demyx. Throwing his fist up, the Chilly Academic brought the Frozen Pride into a massive swirl of action, encircling both he and the fallen waterbearer.
"Rise Demyx, and do not seek do underestimate our foes again."
The shield was certainly a sight for the crew and it's captain to behold. They all backed away quickly enough, but someone would think of jumping at them from above soon enough...
There were too many, their attacks too minute. You don't scratch a creature's leg when it's the arm falling down, weapon in hand. They required something of a more massive scale.
A thought occured. An extension of powers, of capabilities... and some wellfated coordination.
The thought of the two weakest Organization members working together to create an impressive force was one that brought a grin to Vexen's angled face.
"Demyx, how much water can you summon onto the ship?" asked Vexen hurredly. "Not something as focused as your previous endeavors, but more widespread."

Demyx grinned at Vexen's attack orders, his idea coming in full force.
"You got it Vexen, I've had something brewing for a while, so now seems like a good idea to try it out!"
The Melodious Nocturne began strumming Arpeggio, slowly at first, but then speeding up. As he did so, a burst of water shot up under one of the pirate's feet, knocking him into the air.
"Okay, just go with the flow!"

Vexen tapped the side of his nose, much thought making his actions slow and calculated.
"...I wouldn't call that flow, so much as pitiful spout."
The Anti-Pirate was defeated by a wayward gunshot by the captain of the ship-- he was getting guns out now, something the other pirates realized might be a good idea. The spinning shield wasn't quite that fast.
And one measly pillar of water wouldn't do for what Vexen had in mind.
A furious furor of frozen air in Vexen's right came to form a blade of ice of a massive scale. Patience lost at the sight of an unruly pirate crew ready dissemble two Organization members, Vexen decided the best course of action was to merely throw the sword at the group of pirates.
He did so.
The backed up tremendously, many in the front lines severely damaged by the sudden appearance of the sword among their own ranks.
But then, they tried to lift it.
Not good at all.
"Demyx-- faster!" Vexen shouted at his ally. They could not lose this battle-- for reasons no one wanted to admit.

"Sorry Vexen, you gotta give me time to feel the beat!"
As Demyx said this, he swung Arpeggio, causing a wall of water to blast up in front of him, while another pillar shot up under a farther away pirate.
"The music has it's own flow!"

"...better." Vexen acknowledged with a small nod as a row and one pirate flew into the air, some to come back down, others to remain, others to fall into the ocean. However, his energies were focused elsewhere... at the moment...
Hand outstretched, Vexen's green eyes lay on the ice sword so hastily thrown. He couldn't let the pirates use it--
But it would require an unprecedented amount of focus-- even power he might not have.
Hmph. He almost sounded like one who bore a heart within his chest, fretting on the possibilities.
Action. Movement. Power-- now.
TNGHH
In a flash, the ice sword flew through the air at impossible speeds, landing cleanly in Vexen's open hand.
A grim grin showed on the chilly academic's face.
New power, bestowed upon himself by himself.
Without warning, Vexen threw the sword once more to the battle eager pirates-- but the sword remained afloat this time. Heavy concentration showed on Vexen's face during this time. Cultivation required such unpleasantr--
Focusing. Action. Movement. Power. Now.
The sword with no bearer slashed at the pirates.
Success. But in this success, Vexen forgot to mentally tend to his shield. It clattered to the floor immediately, leaving them open to attack lest something was done!

Demyx began strumming Arpeggio faster now, and a second water burst blasted up along with the first one, sending two pirates into the air.
He was having to really concentrate on doing mulitple bursts of water now, as bringing a second burst in forced him to stand still, but he was sure he could split his concentration once he got the beat down again. All he had to do was stay focused, and not get killed.

It was a rather unlucky thing, being caught without his shield.
Luckily, Vexen thought as his less than repentant mind mentally clicked with new power, there were alternatives.
As two more pirates flew overboard, Vexen left his sword in the opposing side's hands to focus on bringing out a breezing wind, the likes of which no sailor would dare sail under. A harsh, foul aura-- crusting the fine wood with ice, surrounded Vexen.
All the pirates stopped in their tracks, finding the chilly air to be nipping at their mental reserves and physical stamina forcing them to tend to their warmth as they slowed down dramatically.
Demyx, being in an Organization cloak, found himself immune to the freezing wind. His spurts of water, not so much. As white crusts of frozen water trailed up the sides of the twin water spouts, Vexen furrowed his brow.
An interesting side effect, but somewhat pointless as is...
[ Absolute Zero ]
Vexen snapped his fingers. Frozen Pride rose into the air immediately, dashing for the bearer.
[ Raging Aegis ]
"Well enough Demyx, but..." Tut tut tut, "two measly bouts of your normal performance are naught but leaves to the strong wind before us.
"Pick up the pace, quickly!"
Captain Hook seemed to be having similar thoughts, attempting to organize the men from their frostbitten fear.

"Oh, come on Vexen! You need to give me some time! Good music needs to build up!"
As he said this, he strummed 15 water clones into existence, which moved to block off the pirates.
As the clones began to freeze though, he had another idea. Changing the riff on his guitar, the clones grabbed onto the pirates, and froze completely, holding them where they were. 15 pirates were now instantly out of the picture for a while. Two more blasts shot up from under pirates, freezing them in midair on pillars of newly formed ice.

[ HOLY MOTHER OF POO THAT IS AWESOME APPLICATION SKILLZ IN ACTION
Great going Homac! ^^ ]
"Not half bad," Vexen muttered, his mind focusing on the possible ramifications. "For you, anyway."
The closest you could get to praise from the prideful Nobody.
"However.
"You've failed to see the possible applications for freezing the aquiescent constructs so, Demyx."
The pride of newfound power was, needless to say, quite the joyful expression across Vexen's face. To be sure, the scientist felt no emotion-- merely displayed it.
The Chilly Academic raised his gloved hands... and motioned forward.
In unison, the frozen clones moved forward, dragging their assailants with them. The pirates immediately struggled, but of course-- there was no escaping this dynamic duo.
The water-- no ice-- clones forced the mass of piratic threats back, and back, dragging if need be, towards the edge of the ship.
Poor Captain Hook was quite blessed. By standing above, on the back deck, he was able to avoid the whole mess of pirates being forced ever so slightly towards the ship's edge.
Vexen wasn't working on the frozen pillars of ice quite yet, however. Interesting to note that two pirates were quite trapped on the fringes of the most recent pair. Perhaps humorous, to a full being.
"Regardless of your shortsightedness... I think the captain of this ship had best say his HYLLP!"
Vexen's face was a mask of terror and fright as a bullet echoed across the wooden deck. Only barely did the Frozen Pride manage to protect the black-swathed Nobody from being wounded-- or worse.

Demyx's face became a mask of concentration as he began to strum quickly again. This time, a third pillar joined with the first two, sending three pirates up and trapping them in midair.
Looking over at his partner, Demyx said, "Vexen, you okay?"
Of course, he couldn't move to help him. Not right now anyways.

Tch.
"I'm perfectly alright, Demyx." the Nobody spat in his haste. "Attend to your own work!"
Very well, dear captain... Vexen muttered to himself, lowering his brows.
Crr--crkk!
In unison, five frozen pillars of water rose warily into the air, wobbling as the sea breeze pushed lightly against them.
Stress rained down on Vexen's fortitude, (or lack thereof,) but while the Chilly Academic's shoulders did wobble in kind... the pillars of ice remained afloat.
Before Vexen slammed the pillars downward, just feet behind the ice constructs, and pushed forward.
Head over heels, most all pirates were very much unable to withstand the might of 15 ice constructs and five large pillars of ice tumbling towards them. All went overboard in the haste, however.
Only the bumbling Captain Hook and his First Mate Smee stood at the ship's wheel. Smee looked none too happy, yes, but his energies were spent trying to calm the furious furor of the captain who was doing a fair impression of Donald Duck with all that haphazard jumping and flying hat nonsense.
"WHY THOSE BLITHERING BILGE RATS-- I'LL, I'LL TAKE CARE OF THEM MYSELF! THOSE WRETCHED TRESSPASSERS WILL STOW THEMSELVES WHEN I'M THROUGH--"
Darkness came about from somewhere. A swirling mist of it, swathing the loud pirate captain in it's hazy aura.
The scientist found his left foot sliding back at the sight of the dark energies, the Nobody instinctively assuming a defensive position.
What... could that be?

Demyx continued his rapid beat, but his eyes were fixed on the black aura around the captain.
"Vexen? Is that normal for a person to do?" His voice had a slight vibration of worry. He also noted, out of the corner of his eye, that his clones were only slightly following his commands, probably a side effect of being ice now. That wasn't even counting the fact that they were melting in the ocean now.
Still strumming, he shouted, "Water!" and a deluge of 12 water balls appeared over the captain's head, descending quickly towards his skull.
