Twilight Town was normally peaceful at this time of day, early in the morning when hardly anyone was awake. There are always those early risers though, that get their errands done in the morning so that they can relax later. Bob was one of these people. He was heading to the market to finish get his purchases done early, before lines formed. He stopped in the road however, at the presence of an odd, whistling sound. He looked around, perplexed as the sound got louder and louder. He suddenly looked up, and saw a shining point in the sky, coming closer. He threw himself out of the way in time to see a blur slam into the ground, making a crater. In the crater, a young man stood up, looked at him, and said, "This is Twilight Town, yes?"

Dee regarded the alien oddly.
Technically, the Black Mage was an alien himself, being a non-resident of this world. This was the first time though he had seen anyone make such a... spectacular entrance before. He must have been a true alien, having come in from outer space. It was inconceivable that the alien had jumped across continents, right?
"This is Twilight town, yes." Dee called out from a safe distance. He suddenly had a bad feeling about this. "If this is about Terra..."

Fi nodded at the oddly dressed child. "Ah, good. I'm glad that jumping off the gummi ship paid off. Who is this Terra though?"

So. He probably wasn’t an alien bent on conquering the world. Good. No one really knew if Garland had been defeated or not, in the end. It never hurt to make sure.
“No one important.”
Well, strictly speaking…
“No one you need to concern yourself with.”

Fi simply nodded at the odd answer. "Okay then. Could you point me to a hotel or inn?" In truth, such a large jump had worn him out, and he needed to crash for the night, or day as it was.

"Oh, they must be somewhere," Dee claimed, motioning vaguely. In all honesty he hadn't the faintest clue, either. He should probably be looking for one.
“I could help you search, if you’d like…?”

Fi nodded once, and said, "Thank you."

"Think nothing of it," Dee answered, feeling uncommonly charitable. It was the town, Dee decided- it was very peaceful here. Like something out of a dream- only once before had he felt quite like this and that particular memory had been misplaced, mistook and forgotten.
He considered the roads that opened up, glancing through the various signs and decided that the main square would probably have the most information- some sort of bulletin board or town map.
"Let's head to the town center, yea?"

Fi simply nodded, gesturing for Dee to lead.

Dee couldn't hear what Fi said (if he said anything at all) and assumed that the nodding and whatnot meant yes and started off without a word. Given his four foot frame and his correspondingly small steps, he walked slightly faster so that this mysterious alien wouldn't 'accidentally' walk into him.
Making it to the town square, Dee turned (not even knowing if the alien had followed) and pointed towards a promising looking name.
"Sunset Terrace, that looks like it'd have inns!"

"Agreed." Fi said, and sped up slightly, hoping that there would be at least one room at the inn. His body still hurt from not landing on something, or someone.

As it turned out, Sunset Terrace did have inns. Or at least, an inn. Dee couldn't quite make out the name, emblazoned as it was in a font so ridiculously shiny that it made his eyes ache and his head hurt something fierce. But it was an inn- the proprietor had the cheerful/suffering look that only one experienced in servicing otherworldly visitors on a regular basis could have.
"Two rooms!" Dee ordered.
The man cited an outrageous number and Dee froze in shock.
"WHUT?"

At Dee's shocked expression, Fi realized that he must not have much money, or munny, as the currency was. So, he gently pushed Dee to the side, and pulled a pouch out of his pack, opened it, and paid for the rooms without a word.

Dee felt appallingly scrooge-ish and miserly for exactly one point thirty two seconds. And then the moment of madness past and Dee decided that this was a nice alien and that nice aliens deserved a hearty thank you (which he gave) and a pat on the back (which he was too short to give, but it was the thought that counted, right?).
"Thanks!" He squeaked.

Fi gave a small smile and nod, and said, "It's nothing. Let's head to the room, hm?"
