Damn. It's cold. [/center] The mountains of China are some of the most revered. Many an explorer has fallen to their deadly peaks, and many generals have gained the thrill of victory using the massive stones to their advantage... It takes one who knows the peaks to survive here, and one who spends their life to traverse them freely.
Well, Dante didn't have either of those.
This young warrior would find himself at the summit of a large mountain. Ice was falling from the sky in the form of snow and hail. Surely, he had brought proper clothing...
However, the cold and the numbing winds would not keep Drag from remembering his task at hand. The Chinese army had hired Dante to extinct a rogue band of mercenaries who had been raiding from local villages to keep their food supplies sustained. The mercenary's camp was reported to be in this mountain via chinese intelligence.
There was a steep, icy trail that led up the mountain. However, it was difficult to see ahead due to this oncoming blizzard.
In the words of a not-so-wise man, "Leap first, look second." Sadly, that man was reported to been have killed by the mercenaries only a few days ago...

Well, it was only to be expected, right? He was at the top of a mountain with minimal warm clothing, nothing too durable, but it was good enough. It was almost a miracle that he had been called on by the Chinese military. He was beginning to lose all hope and got so bored that he sat in his room, reading books! Well, now he was staring straight into the eyes of a deadly, cold-hearted beast called a blizzard.
The warrior couldn't see anything a few inches in front of him, so he had to rely on his instincts. Well, the little instincts that he had, anyways. The footsteps he took were long strides instead. This made it easier to stay warm, since he was active and his blood was pumping. Crystals stuck to his dry lips while the hail pellted his body in more directions than he learned in school.
There was a question that still hung fresh in his mind, though: Why did the Chinese army choose him to take out a few baddies? Couldn't they do it themselves. They had such a large militia and so many men at their beck and call... Well, it beat reading books all day. It became harder to walk the further he traveled into the depths of the summit, knowing now that boots would've been a much better alternative for this type of mission.
No matter. He would go along with this, no matter the dangers he faced. Hell: there may even be a nice sum of munny waiting for him at the end. What next?

As Dante moved forward in his long strides, he would not know that he avoided several trip-wires set down by the mercenaries in hopes of capturing the Chinese militia. The soldiers always marched in uniform, and, if a band of so had been sent to the camp, they would've been tangled in the wires, and, well, I won't bother disgusting you with the trap details.
In the white storm, Dante would soon find himself marching up a narrow path with a wall of rocks on either side. A ways up was a black..boulder? The rock rolled down the path, fast, taking up most of the path as it built up speed. The make-shift rock walls were high and slippery, most likely unable to climb.
Objective: Find a way to stop the boulder

Perfect! What else could be better than a narrow passage and a giant freaking boulder rolling towards you! Without question, this was one of the most infamous tricks in the book. Not only would one see this in old movies and cartoons, but this could also be read in books! There was no easy way around something like this, especially if you were a normal, non-darkness-wielding human. Dante, fortunately, isn’t one of those lame normal people. He had a year of experience on his side when it came to petty tricks.
With a clenched fist and a freezing body, the skinny warrior pumped his fist into the air and allowed the power to gather around the appendage. ”Bursting Gaia Crusher!” Dante slammed his fist into the snow with incredible speed, sending spikes of raw earth towards the speeding boulder. This had to work a little bit. Even if it didn’t… Well, the teen would be screwed, wouldn’t he?

Up the hill quite a few meters, the bandits were amazed at this newcomer's power. Normally, a boulder kills a person. However, this guy had the ability to just punch through it. Yeah, they had seen magic before, but that was just damned near insane... "Hey Bocky, you think we should have some fun with this kid?" spoke of one of the bandits quietly. Unlike his frail partner, he was actually quite excited to find a newcomer to who at least make it past the first trap set down by Outlook-Post 5. "Whatever keeps that maniac away!" exclaimed his partner. "Well, you know the deal." The bandits ran away toward their secondary station in a hidden location. Through the snowstorm, Dante couldn't see a thing. However, it was begenning to die down a bit... Objective- Make your way to the top of the hill
