Current canons None.
Canon you're auditioning for Roxas, the Key of Destiny.
Media canon is from KH 358/2 Days, KH II.
Is the current canon taken Yes, though I hear that Angelus is giving him up. ~[ The Roxas I'm going for is going to have no memories, just to add a few dynamics to the plot. Well... he has some memories, but he doesn't remember that he's Sora's Nobody, he doesn't remember Xion, and most importantly, he thinks that the Organization are still good guys, as odd as that sounds. Also because of this, he's stuck with just the Kingdom Key, in case you were wondering why I have no references to the Oathkeeper and Oblivion, or any of that stuff. He's going to eventually regain his memories, yes, but at present, he doesn't have them all. ]~

Dampness filled the place. It polluted the air, as if threatening to suffocate all of those that were gathered. None of the beings in the room moved, each hooded being solemnly observing an individual in the center of the room, his forearms in chains, eyelids fluttering closed over cerulean opticals, his breathing harsh. Many eyes, some filled with excitement, others with casual indifference, all convinced that with the right process, they would be able to regain control of their damaged prey. If they should fail, then at least they would be able to live with the knowledge that he would not be a threat, or even an annoyance to them, purged of the sin of betrayal that had made him so useless to them. On cue, one of the figures snapped his fingers, the sound seeming to release the Key of Destiny from his trance-like state.
A groan of pain escaping his lips, the blonde's eyes finally opened fully, sluggishly taking in the room around him. Pure white walls, many seats of varying heights, each one occupied save for one - his. It was the worst thing that he could possibly imagine, and something that he had been hoping to avoid, ever since his inexplicable reawakening, somehow having been separated from Sora. He was back in the Organization's clutches. His head slumping downwards in defeat, the Key awaited to hear his punishment for his crime, blonde locks falling lifelessly over his eyes.
Hours passed, each voice speaking in turn, each of his former allies speaking of his crimes, and what they thought his punishment should be. Some argued with the Superior's idea of cleansing his mind and allowing him to rejoin their ranks, offering up alternatives from death to imprisonment, while some agreed that having the Keybearer fighting alongside them, seeing him as an invaluable asset. All spoke but one, whom Roxas knew was his mentor, his friend. The one Nobody that he still looked up to, despite all of the things that had happened.
"Axel..."
The previously immobile being twitched at the nearly silent whisper, fingers curling into a fist, hidden features contorted with rage as he gazed upon his chained, hurt friend. But still, he said not a word in response. The lack of support draining the last of the Key's strength, he fell into a state of indifference, the voices all blending into an insignificant whisper in the back of his mind, finding that he did not care much what happened to him any more. If even Axel, the one person he had expected to fight for him, could not stand up for him, what else mattered anymore?
Nothing...
Nothing mattered.

The sandy ground underneath him were not in the least bit comfortable to lie upon and slumber. Sprawled haphazardly across the uneven surface, the rings on his finger pressing painfully against his fingers, and it was this that roused Roxas from his unexpected bout of slumber. Small lines formed at the corner of his eyes when his brow creased, his eyes scrunching closed against the rays of sunlight with bathed him from above. The softest of groans escaping him, he tiled his head to one said and cracked his eye open a little further, the sight of people walking on the street below. Confusing gracing his features, the Key sat up, his eyes falling upon a familiar sight: the clock tower.
"What...?" He asked himself, straining to remember how he had managed to return to the place that seemed so familiar, and yet... so strange. He felt as though he knew this world, but he could not, for the life of him, figure out how. Could his superiors within the Organization have sent him here on a mission, that was just slipping his mind at this particular moment? Yes, that must have been it. Getting to his feet and brushing dirt off of his cloak, he stretched his limbs high above his head with a satisfying sigh, allowing the gentle breeze of approaching spring to wash over him.
"Hey! Roxas!" Came a cry from just behind him, the sound of approaching footsteps the only warning that he had. Three figures entered his field of vision at that moment in time, each of them smiling as if they knew him, each of them acting as though they were greeting an old friend that they had not seen for a long, long time. And hard as he tried to remember them, there was just... nothing. A dull emptiness within his head, almost as if someone had reached into his memories and just torn them out. But... that was impossible. He was just being stupid. "I'm sorry... there's gotta be some kind of mistake. I... don't think I know you." Looks of confusion and anger crossing their faces, the blonde one took hold of his shoulders and shook him roughly, prompting Roxas to shove him away. "Roxas, what're you talking about? We're best friends, man!"
"I... you're lying! I don't know you!" Why were they so persistent? He had no idea who they were, he was telling the truth! And saying that they were best friends? Impossible. Axel was his best friend. No one else. Shaking his head, he backed away from the trio, anger flashing across his face as he picked up speed and ran further into the town, determined to put as much distance between himself and these strangers that he certainly did not know.
A disturbance in the air drawing his attention, the Key's gaze turned upwards, spotting a cloaked individual much like himself, silver locks of hair visible just beneath the hood. "Roxas... it is time. I want you to ravage the town. Leave nothing behind." Came the voice of the Superior, the only Nobody aside from Axel he felt a personal attachment to, viewing him as a father figure, the only one who had taken him in, and who had given him a home, rather than allowing him to wander aimlessly in the darkness.
But this... he couldn't do this. He just... couldn't.
"But... I..."
"Do not argue." Was the only reply, before the Superior faded back into the darkness, leaving the Key alone, his breathing harsh. What was he to do? He couldn't exactly disobey Xemnas, but... he couldn't kill helpless people. It just... it wasn't right! "I... I'm sorry..." He whispered, his Keyblade appearing in his hand with a flash of light. His feet grudgingly carrying him back towards the main part of the town, where he knew most of the residents would be gathered, a sight came into his field of vision, bringing him to a halt once more.
A young boy, clutching onto his mother's hand as his eyes gazed about in wonder. A young child whose life would be cut short if Roxas did as he was told. A child who certainly did not deserve to be slain, at least not while there was so much left for him to learn, and discover.
"No..." He stated with a shake of his head, Keyblade fading once more into the void. Sparing a glance at the sky, tinted gold by the rising sun, the Key felt a smile spread across his face, remembering a story Axel had once told him. The darkness carrying him away from the town, away from his task, the Key could only hope that he could be forgiven for his violation of direct orders.
But he could find solace in the fact that he had spared countless lives. Countless innocent lives.
And thus, he himself faded into the void, ready to face whatever awaited him beyond the horizon.
No matter what that may be.

~[ Hmm... not quite as good as I was hoping, but I hope it's good enough. It's hard to write a good audition post for a Roxas that... is different from KH Roxas, without his memories. That, and I tried to write it without revolving it around Sora. Hard to do. XD. ]~

This can wait until Angy's Keyblade issue I've been informed about is dealt with. ^^.
