Physical appearance ~ : Marik stands at six foot three. He weighs about 170 pounds. He has long black hair, and red eyes. His skin has a somewhat grayish tint to it. He also has what seem to be a few wrinkles, which may indicate that he is old. Other then the wrinkles, he actually appears to be quite young, and is considerably handsome (at least by the standards of most women he would be).
Clothing/Accessories ~ : He wears a lot of black. He wears a black hat, which is made out of a light leather. His clothes, which entail a black long sleeve shirt, and black pants are made out of a durable cloth, which is at the same time flexible. Over this he wears an even more durable cloth jacket, which is just as flexible. Attached to this jacket is a cape, which goes down to his knees.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alignment ~ : Evil
Behavior ~ : Anger- A man whose anger never gets the best of him, for he has learned to control it to his advantage. He will not attack you in rage, but he allows the increase in strength and stamina that come from it to fill him.
Aggression- The will to fight, the will to kill. He is a being with plenty to spare, and doesn't hesitate to use it.
Emotionless- Like with anger, he doesn't allow his other emotions to get the best of him. In fact some could say he lacks a heart altogether. If he sees a child on the street being beat, he will ignore it, save for a smirk and a shake of his head. If this attracts the attention of those beating the child, he will kill them, then proceed to kill the child.
Fearless- He seems to have no fear. He faces death with every step he takes, darkness with the coming night, and light with the coming day. He fears neither water nor fire, nor does he fear anything holy. And if he does, he does well to hide this.
Motion- He either moves, or he doesn't. Pure and simple. Whether or not he moves depends on the situation, but he is not someone to stand still long.
Illusionist- A master of deception, he lies, cheats, and tricks people as if it was his first language. He could be attacking you from one side, when in reality, the attack you should be worried about is coming from behind you.
Mysterious- Just what he hopes to accomplish, what he wants to do, is never mentioned by him. The only way someone would know his true intent is if they were to read his mind.
Primary Weapon(s)
ID: Musica Sinfonica Sofferenza (Symphonic Suffering)
Quality: Supreme
A simple silver flute. The only odd thing about it is that there are more notes to play on it than any other flute. All of the music it plays also sounds much more sinister and eerie than normal flutes do. A single metal spike extends from the each end, allowing him to use it like a miniature spear. Each spike is roughly half a foot long, and is collapsable.
Musica Sinfonica Delirio (Symphonic Delusion):
Marik plays his flute. It is a high pitched, slow song. And while he does copies of any minions or summons within a ten feet range are made. These copies cannot do damage, and disappear when hit by an attack. These copies are almost exact duplicates of the original save for the fact that that any noise they make is a high pitched note, which hurts the ears of anyone who hears it. As long as he plays this song, the copies remain, but if stopped they will vanish. These copies can last up to three posts.
Strength: Weak
Uses: 3, two post cool-down
Musica Sinfonica Aggravamento (Symphonic Aggravation):
Marik plays his flute, and a fast, low pitch song is played. As this song plays, any minion or summon (it can affect his own or his allies as well if he wishes) within a ten foot area is sent into a frenzy. This frenzy increases their strength, but in return, the minion or summon loses their abilities during this time. This frenzy lasts for two posts, and that is how long he plays.
Strength: Weak
Uses: 2, three post cooldown
Sinfonia di Dolore (Symphony of pain):
A slow, low pitched tune, which sounds more like three notes played in succession with a slight wait in between three notes being played, and then three more notes being played. This tune affects anyone within 15 feet, and damages them from the inside. It does this by traveling through the ears (as all sound does), and then heads to the brain. The brain then sends the signal of pain to the rest of the body, which then registers it. This musical production takes three posts to complete. Anyone within this 15 foot area (other than Marik) cannot move, because of the pain. BUT, Marik is also vulnerable, as he has to continue to play in order for it to work. If someone makes him stop even for a moment, then those who were once immobile because of this ability are free to move again. Marik will then have to wait a post before he can start again if this occurs. This doesn't do much damage, but the pain alone is what keeps them from moving.
Strength: Weak
Uses: 5, two post cooldown
Sinfonia di Morte (Symphony of Death):
A slow, then fast mid pitch song. This song's range is only 7 feet. Anyone within this range has three posts to stop him from playing. On the fourth post (for it takes three posts to play the song), he stops, and anyone who was within that range dies (according to FM's normal standards anyway). Leaving that area after he has already started playing does no good. Unless he is stopped playing (and not he stops by himself due to being finished), the effect does not go away. If he is stopped prematurely, he has to wait until he can start playing again (this waiting period is equal to the number of posts he had left to play, if only one post was left, then he'd have to wait that one post, in addition to another post). If interrupted he has to start over.
It can only kill NPC's. If permission is given, then it can kill characters, otherwise it just knocks them out.
Strength: Moderate
Uses: 3, two post cooldown
Sinfonia di Tradimento (Symphony of Treachery):
A faster, higher pitched tune, this allows Marik to take control of a minion (any slot, and all the little minions that come in that slot), or a summon. This control allows him full access to the minion's or summon's ability spectrum, and the ability to use them as he sees fit. This control lasts for up to three posts. But in order to keep control, he has to keep playing the entire time. Or he could go with the other option.
By playing the exact same song, only at a lower pitch, he can disperse all minions and summons in a twenty foot area. This dispersion only lasts for two posts. But he does not have to continue to play for this to stay in play, as the dispersion is only temporary. But in return this song makes the minions and summons calmer, allowing them to use one ability faster than normal (it shortens the cooldown to one post, but not any shorter, and the cooldown start until they re-summon the minions or summons. If they are out of uses for an ability, they cannot use it again, the tune only allows them to use one sooner, it doesn't allow them to use an ability who's max has been reached.
Strength: Strong
Uses: He can take control of minions or summons no more then twice per thread, with a four post cool-down. He can disperse summons or minions twice per thread, after a three post cool-down.
Secondary Weapon(s)
ID: Rapier
Marik's rapier is not much different than any other rapier other than the fact that the hilt is black. The guard is a thin series of twists, and offers little actual protection from a well aimed attack, though it does add style. The blade itself is just over four feet long, and is made out of what appears to be pure silver, though in reality it is just steel.
MinionsGrade: C
Name(s): Rat Men
Appearance(s): Rat Men are humanoid rats. They stand at about four feet in height, but are muscular all the same. They have black fur, and pure red eyes. Some even have scars. They all wield daggers as weapons. Interestingly enough, they were black armor over their chests, and their daggers (if they could actually be called that), are long enough to them that they could be swords.
Abilities:
Mutation:
Mutation allows the Rat Men to temporarily grow in height and strength (height being about two feet, and strength doubles). This doesn't allow them to take any more damage then normal. This lasts for two posts.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Infinite, one post cool-down
For our Master!:
A way to preserve their master's life. Each single rat man can offer his life to protect their master from one attack per turn.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Once per turn.
Elemental Weakness: Fire
History: Rat Men were once rats that listened to a song Marik played on his flute. This mutated them into their current form, and forced the once peaceful rats to do as he commanded. They've told other animals they've come across that he uses them as replacements for the men he once commanded.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was dark. But that would not last long. Soon the light from a fire was visible from almost everywhere in a two mile radius. The palace had been set ablaze. The people were revolting, and for good reason. Their Marquis (who had become ruler once his brother the king had "assassinated" by what was claimed to be a monster conjured by the kingdom's enemies), had ruled the kingdom for three full years. And during this reign he had made a habit of killing anyone who spoke out against him, and anyone who would have tried to take away his power. Or rather, that was what the people of this land speculated, for these people had been taken to the palace to hear the Marquis play music for them, but never returned. The reason they spoke out, the reason these people revolted, was simple. They were poor, they were hungry. And worst of all, their ruler was having them killed to please some sort of monster. So they built up a stash of arms, grabbed their torches, and attacked the palace. During it both soldiers defending the palace, and revolters died, as one would expect. But what was not expected was how.
For you see, the Marquis had been offering these people to a rather strong Heartless. And with every offering, more Heartless were made. And these Heartless would scour the world, and make more. Soon their pure numbers were too much for the world to handle, and seeking the last of the world's hearts before consuming the heart of the world, they attacked the one place that their commander had promised they'd never attack. As the Marquis watched in horror as his kingdom crumbled, the Heartless he had been giving offerings to the last three years had appeared. It opened up a corridor of darkness, and allowed the one being on the planet who'd done it any good to leave.
He was alone now. He had no wealth, no power, no throne. He didn't even have any of his men to protect him. Though it wasn't like he needed it. So he traversed the worlds, and as he did, he realized that by playing certain songs, creatures would react in certain ways. So he played a song for a handful of rats, and they were then mutated into a humanoid version of themselves. They became his soldiers. They were the beginnings of his new army, the one that would help him take over new worlds in hopes of having a permanent reign. A reign that would be his dream, but a nightmare for those who lived in it. But this army would take time to amass, and for now, for now he would make do with what he had. If this meant taking on some unexpected allies, then he would do so.
Marik's plan had begun to bare fruit (or so to speak). And unless stopped, he would make sure it wouldn't fail.

~Other~
Let's see...
The credits covered the upgrade to Supreme, and the minion, and a convert special. The other convert special costs me 50 munny.
I copied and pasted the personality from Wraith, a character I gave up a while back.
Also I walked through the abilities with High when I typed them up. She and I came up with what we deemed was the most fair for each ability, and what I wanted them to do. This profile was nearly done for the longest while, I was just having a problem with the personality, which I've solved.
