Years ago, there lived a magnificent mansion, on the highest hill in the land of Adonis. This mansion was home to the famed Sanada family, a group of warriors known far and wide for being fearsome, powerful, and unstoppable. And with the arrival of the 18th Head of the family, it seemed as if things could only get better from there. But that was not the case. After but a single battle in her new position, the girl fled, never to be seen again, the mansion that was once so grand slowly but surely deteriorating. And eventually, the residents of Adonis just forgot about it. The Sanada family was but a distant memory, becoming something of a legend that parents would tell their children before they want to bed.
But as should be expected, no intact building can go forever without attracting suitors, and the Sanada household is certainly no exception. However, due to the rather eerie aura about the place, most of them have given up, leaving the place without any intention to ever return. However, it seems that one man, a rather terrifying vampire by the name of Alistair, has decided to make the place his home. What’s more is that he seems to have some sort of connection to the long-lost 18th Head, and has been sending messages, luring her slowly but surely into his grasp.
Utilizing his mysterious powers to not only summon Heartless to fight for him, Alistair has also enlisted the aid of many other unnatural creatures, making any chance of survival the 18th Head may have had rather minimal, if not entirely non-existent. But can she really leave this strange messages unheeded? Only time will tell.
This is the story of Redemption.
--- The sound of wheels, skidding harshly along a paved road, announced their arrival. A heavily armored vehicle, perfect for ramming through armies of Heartless without worry of dealing harm to those inside, had made it's appearance, the insignia for the Barons easily identifiable on it's side. The sounds of some sort of a scuffle emnating from the vehicle's intertior, the door suddenly flew open, a surprisingly massive man falling from it to sprawl unceremoniously on the ground. "For the love of god, Seira. Teach that lackey of yours to drive. Please." Came the voice of the second person to exit the surprisingly spacious depths of the vehicle. Body wrapped in a black jumpsuit, her typical choice of attire in missions such as this, Ava Wallace stepped gracefully to the ground, offering the hulking man a hand.
"Sorry about that, Al. But really. I don't know why Seira let Kelvin drive. I swear, a duck could've done a better job." Oh, and wasn't that the truth. But messed up hair and dirt-stained minions weren't nearly enough to dampen the telepath's mood. Today was a rather good day, in her books. She was getting the chance to visit another world, just for the sake of visiting another world, without having to worry about conquering it, or slapping some dude in the face. Mind you, she wasn't quite sure why Seira had asked her to accompany her on this personal mission, as the two hardly knew each other, but as long as she could get away from all of those freaking battles that the Barons seemed to love so much, even for a little while, she'd be content.
Stretching her arms high above her head, the telepath turned on her heel, gaze returning once more to the still-open door of the vehicle before her. "Uh... Seira? We gonna get going soon? Because I really don't think we want to be standing out here all day, girly. I dunno, this place gives me a bad vibe."
Wasn't that the understatement of the century. [/blockquote]

oO Seira... Oo
The Baroness slept quietly, somehow able to relax, even in the presence of oh-so-many distractions. From Ava singing off-key to the song that happened to be playing to Alejandro's constant reminders that he really needed to go, Kelvin's awful driving to- holy crap, Al, just shut up already! Needless to say, the interior of their transport vehicle, an odd thing that looked like it should be forced to remain on the ground, despite the fact that it was perfectly capable of interstellar travel, was not at all peaceful. And yet, the Baroness slept, her dreams an odd jumble of images that made little to no sense to her whatsoever.
Bodies, covered in blood. A thousand spirits chasing her, groaning, reaching out with their translucent hands as if to grab hold of her and rip her apart. A young girl, shivering as she lay alone on a mountain path, crying out for the man she may never see again. But most prominent and memorable of these images was a derelict mansion, atop a massive hill. This mansion she knew well - it was her former home, the one she had once abandoned.
The one she felt this inexplicable, irresistable desire to return to.
And that was the sole reason why she was even returning to her home of Adonis, her 'ally', Ava by her side. To attempt to discover why she was suddenly dreaming of the home she had left behind so long ago. The home that she had been determined to forget.
oO Seira... come to me... Oo
But why? Who was it that was calling out to her, trying to get her to return 'home?' She didn't understand - her family was long dead, as were most of the villagers that she had once lived with. It had been several centuries since she had lived here, so... who could be calling her? It didn't make sense. And yet-
She was jerked from her rest by several things happening at once. The first was the violent action of the vehicle colliding with the world's surface - as a result of Kelvin's horrid driving, she presumed. The second was the sound of Alejandro shouting about if he didn't go now, he was going to explode. The third was the sound of the door flying open due to Alejandro leaning on it too hard. And within seconds, he was sprawled out on the ground, Ava following him out moments afterwords.
"My lady? Are you alright? You appear shaken. I apologize if it is because of my lack of driving ability. I'm... not exactly accustomed to piloting vehicles of any sort, aside from horses. Understandable, all things considered, though." Kelvin stated with a laugh, coming to stand before Seira, taking her hands into his own. "It is alright, though. Whatever it is that has made you uncomfortable will not continue to do so. I promise-"
"Kelvin. I am fine. Now, we have business to attend to." She replied in her typical cold, aloof manner, brushing her hair aside and getting to her feet, ignoring the hurt look on her vassal's face. She did not like hurting him, make no mistake. She just didn't think it appropriate to show weakness. She was supposed to be the strong one, not the one who needed to be babied. Her heeled boots carrying her out of the vehicle and out onto the dirt-strewn road, she nodded at her ally's comment.
"I apologize. I just needed to have... a word with Kelvin. Now, our destination-" Seira began, pointing at a rather large building nearby, "Is that tavern. The Bronze Eagle, if my memory serves me correctly. Now, let us be off." Not awaiting a response, the demon-turned-Baroness led the way towards the building, gloved hands pushing open the swinging doors unceremoniously, a sigh escaping her lips as she entered.
As much as she hated to say it, it wasn't good to be home. [/blockquote]

What is up with that girl? Ava asked herself as she watched her stoic companion walk away and enter the tavern. She hadn't known Seira for long, but from the few times that they'd spoken, and the very rare times that they had found themselves fighting against the same opponent, she could tell that there was something about her. Something... not normal. But she couldn't really be sure what it was. Sure, the way she acted as though she didn't care about anyone or anything was weird enough. That was just kind of a given. But it wasn't just that. Even the way she fought, her strength... it wasn't natural. Then again, it's not really any of my business, is it? Guess not.
"Alright, boys, you heard the lady. We're going to a bar. Now Al? Don't touch anything. Please. We all know just how easily you break things. And it's probably better to avoid drawing undue attention to ourselves. Oh, and Kelvin? ... Don't be weird." Perhaps it wasn't the nicest way to say things, but it was true. Much like his so-called 'master', the bone-wielding warrior - which was weird enough, of course; who the heck uses their own bones as weapons - was just not normal. But, as the telepath knew full well, it wasn't her place to be nosy.
Following behind her fellow Baroness at a brisk pace, the two minions right behind her, Ava spared a single glance over her shoulder, unable to escape the inexplicable feeling that something or someone was watching her. Weird. Shrugging and pusing the door open to follow behind Seira, not a single member of the trio happened to notice eight yellow eyes watching them from the nearby trees.
Shining, yellow, bloodthirsty eyes.

Her cerulean gaze taking in the rather... disgusting bar around her and committing it to memory, the Baroness cracked her neck, ignoring the awed stares of the bar's patrons. She understood why they were staring at her in such a way, after all. How often did they see a girl straight out of their fantasies in reality? Not very often, that much she could be sure of. Legs carrying her to an empty booth across from the doorway with surprising grace, she sat down on the cloth-covered seats, brushing her hair aside and staring straight ahead, unblinking, at the entrance, awaiting her allies.
After several moments of gazing at the entrance without seeing her allies, she rolled her eyes in frustration, tapping into the mental link that kept them all connected. oO Ava. Kelvin. Alejandro. I'd appreciate it if you would hurry up. We do not have all day. And- Oo Her gaze shifted to one particular individual, his head bowed low, a look of intense sadness on his face. oO I believe we have found our first lead. Ava, I believe it is time for you to use your... talents. Oo
Oh, that it was.

oO Talents? I take offense to that. But I suppose you have a point. Fine. Alejandro, Kelvin; stand back. Oo Walking over to the man, her hips swaying just a bit more than they needed to, Ava Wallace, easily one of the most extraordinary of the Barons, went to work. Seating herself next to the man, she offered a warm, inviting smile, that informed him she could be trusted. There was no harm in talking to her. "Hey there. I'm Ava. Is everything alright? Anything I can... help with?"
She wasn't quite sure what she could do to help him, especially as she had no idea what exactly was going on in this strange world, but there was no harm in offering. "Well... I- I suppose I can tell you. I- I work at the local orphanage. Watching over the children whose parents were unable to do so themselves. But this morning... we were attacked. By these strange, wolf-like creatures. They... took the children. To the mansion on that hill just on the outside of town. I tried to follow, but... they said they would-" Whatever they said, Ava would not know. For in the middle of the man's sentence, the doors to the tavern flew inwards, crashing into the opposite wall and shattering.
And in the now empty-doorway stood five hulking figures. Five distinctly wolf-like creatures.
--- [ Yaaaaaaaaay for using the QM graphics. Without asking. My apologies. Twas Ryu's idea. But yes! But before we get down to the fighting, I think it's prudent to explain how we're going to be doing things in this quest, as it's not the typical method. Using that fancy HP bar thingie, we're giving each and everything in this quest health. Naturally, everyone starts with ten health, unless stated otherwise. This original number is increased, depending on how many abilities the character in question has. Weak abilities add 2 health, Moderate abilities add 3, and Strong abilites add 4. As far as damage goes, physical hits do one damage, Weak abilities do 2, etc. etc. Pretty simple, neh? Oh, and as I'm a tad bit biased, well be doing this D&D style to see if the attacks hit. Not that the rolling really effects any of you too much. But I digress! On to the fighting! ] Defeat the werewolves! [ Each of the werewolves start with 4 HP. Don't want to make things too hard right away! ]

Seira. [hp=22/22]
Shiro. [hp=3/10]
Serenity. [hp=3/10]
Alistair. [hp=3/10]
Kelvin. [hp=9/10]
"This is not good. Lycans? We must dispose of them quickly. Shiro, Serenity, Alistair." Seira stated, her three 'weapons' appearing in a flash of light. Her harp appearing in her hand in a similar flash, the Baroness went right into action, sending each of them at a different werewolf. "Kelvin. You should enter the fray as well. We must end this as quickly as possible." She shouted to her vassal, who was just to the right of the creatures. With a nod, he pulled a sword, formed from his humerus, and dashed at the nearest creature, aiming to deliver a two-hit strike.
With four of the beasts being attacked at once, Seira felt as though this battle was going to be concluded rather quickly. [/blockquote]

These warriors were good.
But sadly, not good enough.
Shiro's attack, sadly, missed entirely. By a mile. Such a miss made it possible for his target to counter with a slash of it's claws, cutting at the demon's flesh and dealing just a bit of damage. [Shiro HP-1.]
Both Serenity and Kelvin missed, though not nearly as bad as Shiro did. No damage was done.
Alistair's attack was a hit, his fist colliding with a satisfying crunch against the wolf's face. The creature's defenses failing him, what would have been a normal physical strike to turn into a killing blow, ending the creature's life right then and there.
--- The four remaining werewolves were enraged, each of them launching themelves at the warriors, one for each, lashing out with their claws in an attempt to tear the demons limb from limb.
The first creature's attack on Shiro was a failure, missing by but an inch. The same happened with the second, it's claws grazing the side of Serenity's face, bur dealing no damage. However, the third was successful in it's attack, claws digging into Alistair's flesh and dealing a fair bit of damage. [Alistair HP-1]
The fourth, who had thrown itself at Kelvin, was no match for the vassal's reflexes. Not only did he miss, but he was delivered a swift counterattack, which proved to be a killing blow, sending the thing flying into the wall, only to slump to the floor, blood pooling around it's body.
[ Oh, before I forget. We're handling things just a little more different than I said before. There's some god-modding, or so it would appear, but Ryu's agreed to allow that. So don't freak out or anything. ^^. Defeat the werewolves!
Werewolf I. [hp=0/10]
Werewolf II. [hp=4/10]
Werewolf III. [hp=4/10]
Werewolf IV. [hp=4/10]
Werewolf V. [hp=0/10]
