Sadao laughed a little, then looked up at her. "If you're going to be protecting me on this journey until I heal, then I guess we're going to have to make sure you are deadly accurate with those darts. Of course, as soon as I'm able again, we set out. Fair enough?" Though it was hard to tell, it was late at night, so Sadao laid back in bed, trying to rest up a bit.
Sadao didn't have his Nobody glove on, so he put his hand in the air, and examined it. There was some dark ice on it, which looked bad. Sadao sighed, wishing that he was in a better situation.

"I'm very accurate, thank you very much," Lydia teased him, though in the next instant she was on her feet, holding his wrist gently and looking at his hand. "What is that, Sadao?" she asked, referring to the dark ice on it. Was it was wound she missed? It didn't look...normal. Did it hurt him? Her blue eyes turned on him, searching for some sort of explanation.
Running on so little sleep, she was a little on edge from exhaustion and stress. Taking care of someone so wounded and constantly watching to make sure their intestines don't pop out the holes in him or other such deadly accidents was very taxing. Now..there was something dangerous looking on his hand! Maybe it was a fungus for having the glove on too long without washing the skin beneath?

Lydia got up quickly and grabbed his hand, asking him what it was. "It seems to be dark ice that developed on my hand. I think it may be from my ice abilities, but I cannot ascertain the overall damage." Sadao tried to remove the ice but when he did, immense pain filled his hand. He yelled in pain, then stopped. "It doesn't seem like its going to come off anytime soon either."
Sadao looked at Lydia, and he could see that she was exhausted. She looked like she was ready to collapse into sleep. "You're pushing yourself too hard Lydia. You need to rest before you completely run out of energy. Don't need you collapsing where you stand now."

"Oh, I'm not that tired. I'm more concerned about your hand...does the ice run deep? Or is it just on the outside. I know I can't...remove it. That'd hurt you and your body doesn't need any more trauma, but I want to keep an eye on it. Maybe..find a way to melt it..if it can melt. It's black," she said, looking to him with wide eyes. The shock of seeing such a thing had her adrenaline pumping, so now she didn't feel tired at all. Perhaps she could avoid the crash.
"Well, anyway...I can't just sleep. I need to keep an eye on you so you don't try to get up or to make sure nothing else happens. I can sleep once you're better," she smiled, walking into the kitchen for some coffee to insure her attention would remain alert. Lydia then returned and claimed her chair once more.

"It doesn't feel like it runs too deep inside my body. If it did, i dont think i would have any movement capability in my hand. We'll just keep an eye on it for the time being." Sadao reached over, grabbing his Nobody Glove and slipping it back onto his hand. The less the ice was seen, the less worried Lydia have to be. Right now, she needed as much rest as he needed.
"Lydia, i thank you very much for all the care, but you need to rest a bit. I'm not going anywhere, and unless something big comes and attacks me, then my wounds will be fine. You are trying to force yourself to stay awake for my sake when you should be resting. Everything is going to be fine."

Lydia opened her mouth to protest, but she said nothing. He was right, and she knew it. She was just being a spaz. "...I probably should rest..or I'll be no good to anyone at all!" she laughed, setting her coffee off onto the small table nearby. Looking around, she pulled a blanket off the top of her chair and then curled up in said chair. She'd sleep here. Cheek squished against the arm-rest, her eyes remained open so she could see him. Sleep was rushing her quickly in a blitz attack.
"You should rest too, so you can move around tomorrow without hurting or falling," the girl informed him again, dead-set on him getting well.

Sadao smiled and laid in bed, drifting off into a wonderless sleep. in a couple of days, he would be out of this nightmare, and off on his search once again. In his dreams, he relived his memories that he could remember. Then, other memories began to surface. a portal opened, with him, the mysterious man, and a young guy stepping out. The young guy was mostly blurred, so it was hard to tell what he looked like. They were outside the white castle. As they walked into the castle, they met two paths. The young guy and Sadao went one way, with the man going another. As Sadao and the guy walked on, a bunch of Nobodies appeared behind them, and attacked. The guy pushed Sadao out of the way, and everything went white.
Sadao opened his eyes, and looked around. It was late at night, and all was quiet. He contemplated on the new memories, though not much came to mind. He sighed and went back to sleep, not dreaming again the whole night.
The next morning, Sadao was up very early, even before Lydia got up. He quietly made his way out of the room, and headed for the kitchen. He headed outside, and looked at the sky. kinda dark, though sunlight was breaking through the clouds. He went around to the side of the house, and began doing pushups. Even though he was injured, he still had to stay in shape. With sweat beading down his face, he continued doing pushups.

As he worked out a strange occurrence would unfold in the dark morning of Halloween Town. In the distance there was a rising illumination. Something like a sunrise, but not in the right direction nor the right colour. Pitch black shone up over the horizon, a strange mesh of the concepts of darkness and light. It was clearly unnatural and that became all the more apparent if one were to keep watching.
A pillar of this black-coloured light shot upward into the sky from its origin on the horizon. It tunneled upward and beyond the limits of the world before simply fading from sight. It was like a massive beacon shooting off into space, its true size difficult to judge based on its distance from anyone close enough to view it. The source was far beyond the normal limits of Halloween Town.
Yet... it seemed to be within reach all the same. The only question was whether to accept it and watch, ignore it and go on, or to investigate and learn the meaning of this phenomenon.
How many would answer the call of the latter?

"Sadao! You silly boy!" Lydia exclaimed as she rushed out of the house, looking well rested, but lacking the tell-tale signs of it. Her hair was just as it was when she fell asleep, clothes also. Her expression was nice, but scolding as she watching him. "With injuries like yours, you can't be doing this sort of stuff yet.." her cute mouth pouted, though suddenly she wasn't watching him at all. It was like she'd had a case of ADD and forgot what she was doing and saying, her aquatic eyes set on the horizon where the unnatural black beam was.
"...What...is that?" she asked herself with merely a breath. A pillar of..black. Yet it was light. Black light. That wasn't possible...but here it was. What was it? She watched it until it disappeared, bringing about a determined and protective look on her face before she started to try and find the origin.
"Stay here."
