Selia nodded at her, making clear she had understood. She was going to follow, since there seemed no other way out and those two were strong enough to be helpful. As additional precaution, she used the magic shield on herself to block any unexpected attack that came hr way.

It made unable to use Animal House, but right then nothing bigger than a spider was available, and since the arachnid was even poisonous, it would have been a wasted effort. If only she could catch another rat...

"Well, I think there are no way out apart the one from where we came from... an I'm worried it's also the way the guards are going to take.... any ideas?"

Riku replied to Kairi,"Don't worry about that right now." as the two stepped over the guards and headed down the stairs. There they met up with another group of guards running up the stairs.

Do they ever learn Riku said as he jumped into the air swinging his Keyblade in a downward motion. It would appear that he was about to make contact with them but he was suddenly stopped by an unknown person in black armor who jumped in the air from behind the guards and kicked Riku off to the side.

He fell back landing hard on the concrete floor but got right back up to see the dark knight pointing the edge of his sword at this neck.

"Captain Cecil!" the guards shouted in joy once they saw their leader standing in front of them.

"I don't know you are but freeing this criminal will cost you." Cecil said looking directly at Kairi. This gave Riku a chance to knock his sword out of the way and scoot back s bit to distance himself from the dark knight. Riku then got back up and pointed the Keyblade at him.

"Don't be foolish boy. You're in enough trouble by the king as it is."

"The king you serve is evil. You know that just as much as I do." Riku replied. Cecil seemed unable to answer that remark instead ordering his guards to stand down and fall back. He placed his sword back in its sheathe and walked down the stairs.

"Follow me." he told the two keyblade wielders.

"Riku!" she squeaked, seeming to lose her voice along with her breath as Riku was kicked out of the way. She probably would've went into a follow-up attack had her body not just about given out from under her. Her breathing came out in shallow puffs of air, but her eyes remained intense and glared slightly at this...Captain Cecil.

Kairi had just been about to unleash a special attack regardless of her condition just for darkhearted enemies when he seemed to..change his mind? Was it a trap? Or maybe the Captain knew of the evil in his king as much as Riku did...she looked to Riku, awaiting his decision. She'd follow, but she wouldn't lower her guard. She couldn't afford to..but at least she was starting to recover again.

Noelle shook her head no at her saviors question. She had no time to examine the prison and the way the two teenagers went seemed to be the only way out. Unless of course they could fit through the bared window. Only one as small as herself could. So that was out of the picture and she wanted to help them but found herself wanting to go through that window. To escape.

But she flew after the two, high above so that any guard who came towards her wouldn't be able to catch her and use her for evil. She continued to zoom on up the stairs. Zooming and zooming. And zooming!

"Ummpphf." She bumped into a lamp on the side of the stairway. She started to fall down, and landed on top the female teenager's bright red hair.

[Shinn]

"Kairi!" Riku exclaimed as he saw her almost collapse onto the floor. He rushed over to her hoping that she was alright. "Are you alright? Whats wrong?"

Cecil turned around to see the girl did not look so good. Why was she here if she wasn't feeling well? Cecil walked back up the stairs. "There is some medicine in my room grab her and lets go."

"You better not be lying to us." Riku said.

"Trust me I'm not about to lie to one who wields a Keyblade, nor to a Princess of the Heart."

Riku turned around and knelt in front of Kairi. "Here get on my back I'll carry you there."

"Come we have to leave now."

[Iris|Kairi]

"I..don't think medicine will help.." she chuckled weakly. "Don't worry, I'll be fine in a minute. just a little dizzy" she claimed, downplaying what she suspected to be true and climbing onto his back for now. She just needed a moment, and the episode would pass. She was starting to get used to them and their effects now.

Besides, she couldn't be falling down the stairs. Under different circumstances, she would've refused Riku's offer, but now was not the time for her to show him she was fine on her own, simply because she wasn't at this moment. Not since she "got back" from where ever she had been.

The mage looked at the pair, slightly worried. The red-haired girl hadn't suffered any hit during the time she had been there, and yet she had collapsed, with no other apparent reason. Could she be sick? Or be suffering from a previous wound? Infections were nasty things, if they didn't got treated quickly, and it bugged her to think about it.

"Do you need some healing?" she asked, walking to her. Screw the guards, the current one looked very little interested in slaughtering them anyway.

"I am a mage, it'll be quicker than get medicines."

Kairi climbed on Rikus back and after adjusting her a bit he got up and began walking down the stairs. Lucky for him Kairi wasn't all that heavy and he was able to carry her with ease. The only problem was that she was really close to Riku so he was a bit distracted by her clinging onto him. But he managed to stay calm and collected.

The mage had suggested that she could heal Kairi with her magic but Riku could sense that this injury was something that not even regular healing magic would work.

"No thanks, she just needs to rest right now." he answered as he continued to follow Cecil. Cecil looked back at them now noticing the fairy and mage girl was there as well.

"You two follow us as well otherwise those guards will come after you again." then he looked over to Riku. "She can stay in the room to rest while you and I have a talk."

[Iris|Kairi]

"I'll be fine in a minute.." she mumbled, already starting to feel better. Her energy was starting to trickle back, her heart returning to a more normal rhythm. She was still a little pale, though. "I don't need rest..I just need a couple seconds.."

It was ironic. She finally had the skill/ strength to protect herself and not rely on the boys, then this stuff happens and she actually had to be carried, if only just down the stairs. These episodes had only just begun a month ago at the most, so they didn't last very long at the moment.

Feeling like a burden, Kairi lifted her head and sighed. "You can put me down at the bottom of the stairs.."

[Shinn]

"Alright, if you say so." Riku replied. He was a bit hesitant at first since he wasn't sure if Kairi would be fine even if she said so. But he trusted her judgment in her capabilities and as soon as they reached the bottom of the stairs Riku knelt down and let Kairi off of his back.

Cecil awaited at the bottom of the stairs with his arms crossed looking at the four people who were supposed to be in a cell right now. But he knew that they did nothing wrong to be in this place. In fact there was alot of people being brought in here recently who committed no real crime other than some form of treason to the king. "My room is just down this hallway. Once we get there we can discuss things."

"Does any of this discussion have to do do with us getting out of this place?" Riku asked.

"All in due time." Cecil replied.

Back on her feet, Kairi stood only a moment to get her balance before seeming alright again. Color returned to her formerly pallid cheeks. She smiled slightly at Riku in thanks, then returned her gaze to Cecil. She couldn't decide if he was a good guy or bad guy. He seemed to be dark in his heart...yet it seemed he was..resisting it? It kind of reminded her of Riku, and she felt the urge to trust him.

"..Then, you need our help?" she asked Captain Cecil, seeing that as the only reason for letting them escape from the guards and head for his room. If they weren't going to be set free immediately, then perhaps there was something he needed them for.

"In a manner of speaking yes. But once we reach my room I will explain more." Cecil replied. Uncrossing his arms he began to walk down the hallway towards his room.

Riku was now suspicious after hearing Cecils words. Unlike Kairi he wasn't very trusting of complete strangers. He hadn't even seen what his face looked like since the Dark Knight hid it behind his helmet. And now he was trying to ask them for a favor and in return there was a chance that he would let them free? Riku was not fond of this blackmail at all. It had deceive written all over it. But for now there wasn't much he could do to prove it.

After reaching the door to Cecils room Cecil walked over to the door and opened it standing inside so that the others could go in first.
"Ladies first." he said sounding very eloquent. Riku stood aside as well to let them go in first. He leaned over to Cecil and whispered something where his ear would be.

Kairi paused only a moment before walking into the room, alert, but kind of giving Cecil the benefit of the doubt. "Thank you," she answered politely as she passed, finally looking over the faerie and the other girl with them. She smiled at them as well, trying to apologize for being a little too out of it to acknowledge them properly.

Once inside she turned, awaiting talk of what he needed from them before they could leave. She was all for helping a good cause. She could tell Riku wasn't as convinced, not that he was making any attempt to hide it. What was he whispering about?

Cecil slightly bowed his head at the princess as she entered the room. After all she was royalty so it would be improper for a knight such as himself to show disrespect to a Princess of Heart. With all of them inside Cecil walked over to the entryway blocking Riku from going in.

"If you ladies will excuse us for a second while we have a talk." Cecil said in a polite tone of voice before closing the door and turning back to Riku.

"I can see I wasn't the only one who was suspicious of the king. He has never been like this before. Some kind of dark entity seems to be controlling him. I can only suspect it to be some kind of demon."

"It's possible that his heart is being corrupted by the Heartless." Riku replied having been suspicious that it was the Heartless behind it all. "If that's the case, then he may no longer be the same king you once knew. He may have already given himself to the darkness."

Pounding the wall in front of him Cecil looked back not wanting to hear another word form Riku."No it can't be." It was hard to hear something like that. To hear that someone who practically raised you your entire life being taken over by the darkness was too much for Cecil.

"I must find a way to stop this." he said looking straight at Riku. "What do I need to do to stop him from going into the darkness?"

"We need to find the Heartless or the person controlling him and put an end to them. That is the best we can do."

"Alright, lets go then." Just as he was about to turn around and go Riku grabbed his shoulder stopping him.

"Remember our little agreement alright?" he said silently. Cecil nodded and went over to open the door where the girls were in.

"Alright lets get you ladies somewhere a bit more comfortable."

"Where's that?" Kairi asked, leaning off the stone wall she'd chosen. She was slightly miffed that she'd been left out of the conversation, but it wasn't unexpected. Riku always reminded her she was a girl, and she didn't expect him to change just because she came to his rescue. Geez...if this was the thanks she got...

Hmph.

She shot a slightly annoyed, yet curious glance at Riku, as if prying into his soul what he had planned exactly.
