The Wheel of Fate Keeps Turning
Scratch that, lets try something that makes sense.
Only the Strong Shall Conquer
Yeah that sounds cooler >>
Open Your Eyes...
And just like anyone else who listens to voices in their head Tenebra opened them. He wasn't sure why they were closed in the first place, he didn't even fully remember what happened before they were closed. From what he could recall, he remembered just sitting on a bench waiting for a train, then he woke up. Still, he didn't feel tired at all like he just closed his eys for two seconds then opened them back up and now he was staring down an all white building that stood in the center of a endless view of nothing. Other than the white building that he was standing on Tenebra saw only complete darkness in every direction you could think of.
Tenebra: What the heck did I get into now?
This must be some kind of crazy dream he was having right now, he did have some weird ones in the past. He just decided to play along and let it all play out. But Tenebra never did have a normal day in his life so he had to be sure. He grabbed his left cheek and gave a tight squeeze.
Tenebra: Ow! Damn that means this ain't a dream then.
Dream or no dream, it was best to just go along and wait to be informed on the situation. No one else was there so Tenebra sat down and waited for whatever was supposed to happen next.

What the heck just happened? One minute Maria was walking down to the grove with Remus on her tail asking for a date, making this the 55th time he's asked that. She turned around to tell him, again for the 55th time, no and the scenery changed on her. There was darkness in all direction except down, being the white floor she was on. Gram, what just happened here... where are we? There was complete silence as Gram didn't respond. Maria tried it again but nothing again. Well this isn't good, what do I do now?
((Sorry for not responding sooner, school started up so no time to get on the computer during the week.))

[It's fine, I know how school can get I have a hard time as well.]
Suddenly a girl appeared out of nowhere righ in front of where Tenebra was at. He was a bit surprised since she didn't give any fair warning that she was about to make an appearance. Most magical girls at least use some kind of omnipotent voice over to at least give you a head up. Not this one though. Tenebra looked at her up and down. She didn't really look like what he was expecting. Tenebra thought that she would have been some gorgeous looking goddess with long golden hair and peachy soft skin with a Olympian Style Dress. This chick wasn't even glowing!
Disappointed he let out a sigh and shook his head.
Tenebra: So I'm assuming that you don't know anything about why I'm here do ya?
Tenebra shrugged his shoulders and started to walk around the building once more. Maybe more people would start popping up here soon. He kept his distance standing at the far northern area so he wouldn't bump into any of them. Tenebra waved his hands and started to call out to the girl.
Tenebra: Hey girl! You might wanna move out of the way in case more folks start showin' up!

Girl!? Who did this guy think he was? If he had better eyesight he would've known that she, Maria, wasn't any "girl" but a young woman in her glorious beauty. Then again since when did she consider herself beautiful? Oh right... Remus. God I'm going to kill him for this. Course that was only if this was Remus' doing, which she doubt but it would've given her a good excuse to hurt him later. She started walking over to the guy, her right hand resting on top of the hilt of her kopis. Didn't know if this guy meant to do harm to her or not, but she had to stay on her toes for this. So I take it, you're not the one that caused this either?

[ Shoomp da-woop! ]Without further ado, a slew of clear energy flared up for a moment, showing the arena as being closed off from the gaping doom surrounding the battlers. It swiftly faded from view... but it was still there. With a blazing swirl of white energy, a sphere pulsating from the sheer power contaned within it appeared in the center of the arena. It seemed to radiate good will-- this was no ill omen in disguise! [ Sphere thing that restores a use of an ability to you. RUN RUN RUNNNNNN! ]

Tenebra saw the girl walk towards him looking very suspicious at him. To not seem as hostile looking as he already looked, Tenebra raised his hands and placed them in the back of his head locking his fingers together. He began to walk towards her direction since it didn't seem like anyone else wouldn't be showing up anytime soon.
Tenebra: Nope this isn't something I conjured up. I would have had tons of gorgeous looking chicks here wearing nothing but silk underwear.
Tenebra could only dream of such a fantastic fantasy. But he was stuck here with this girl instead so he had to make the best of it. As he passed by her, he felt a surge of energy enter the area. A flare of energy shot out from out of nowhere near where the two were. Tenebra at first thought it to be the person who had brought him and the girl here in the first place. But once the energy settled it took the form of an orb made of energy. Tenebra turned back to the girl and shrugged his shoulders. He had no idea what that thing was.
Tenebra: I guess I'll go and check it out. If it explodes then we'll know not to touch glowing orbs again.
Tenebra had heard of way too many stories about these types of situations. Best bet was if he wanted to get out of here sooner, he'd have to touch the unknown orb. So without a second thought he hurried to the orb and reached forward and touched it.

Silk underwear... oh god I'm stuck with another Remus. To think I may have gotten away from him, I get a copy. Not that that's the matter right now, I just don't have a good feeling about that orb. And if you really think about it can't blame for thinking that. An orb that comes out of nowhere with no purpose but just appear. Really suspicious, for all that's good it could turn this guy against her. Crap, if that thing does I don't know what I'll do. But instinctively she unstrapped the claymore letting it drop to the ground, then unsheathed her kopis. You better understand I will not be held responsible for any action you may pull. She kept a sharp eye on him just to make sure she caught him changing his persona before it caught her off guard.

The orb of energy absorbed into his body giving him an abundance of power at his disposal. He heard the sound of her claymore drop on the ground triggering the start of the battle.
You see in that brief moment when he touched the orb Tenebras mind was warped into a different realm full of light. He stood in front of a statue depicting a knight in shining blue and black armor. In both of his hands he held two identical Keyblades, one resting on his right shoulder and the other dug into the ground.
Tenebra: What the heck is goin' on?
The statue began to speak into his mind explaining to him that in order to leave the building, he must defeat the other person who was there. It was one of many trials that Tenebra would be facing in his journey. Confused and a little annoyed with all the melodramatics, he sighed and chose to just go with the flow.
Tenebra: If it's what I have to do. Sometimes having this stupid Keyblade just isn't worth it.
The light realm suddenly vanished and he was returned back to the white building. He sunk his head.
Tenebra: If it's a fight you want....
He gripped his hand as light started to gather and take the form of a sword. In a spark of light energy his Night Sky appeared in his hand. He looked up and spun around throwing his Keyblade at Maria. The Keyblade spun around like a ceiling fan slicing through the air heading directly towards her.
Tenebra: Then so be it.

So the orb did change his persona just as she thought. And now he goes ahead and throws a key at her. Honestly she didn't know what to do but let her training take over. Maria jump off to the side dodging the key all together, as soon as her feet made contact with the ground again she made a dash for Tenebra. By order of The Guards, Stand Down! Maria took a swung with her kopis, the blunt side of it, so the swing was wide and akward but the first thing to do is immobilize first. And if that doesn't work, to stop by any means including death.

If there was one thing that made having a Keyblade worthwhile, it would have to be its ability to instantly reappear in the users hand even after they have thrown it. As she came towards Tenebra swinging her sword, he reacted by jumping backwards and re-summoned his Keyblade back in his hand. While in the air he threw his Keyblade vertically at Maria who would most likely have a hard time dodging the attack since her first swing was awkward. Plus he wasn't at an all too far distance that the attack could be intercepted that quickly, in fact her swing had just missed him and it took only a split second for him to counter and throw his Keyblade right at her.
Once he landed back on the ground Tenebra would be close to three or four yards away from her giving him a good amount of room. If his attack hadn't gone through he would try another means of getting her. He re-summoned his Keyblade and prepared for his chance to quickly end the fight.

Damn! The attack has just missed him, and he got away from it. As Tenebra had jumped away and threw his weapon again, she used the momentum from her swing to throw herself to the ground. The weapon did make contact but it just ripped where the left sleeve joins with the torso in the front. As her back hit the ground she started rolling to her right until she proped herself back up, one knee of the ground and a foot planted firmly to the ground. She knew for sure her claymore was just behind her, if things got worse she could grab it at a moments notice. That's a pretty good trick. What else you got? Provoking may not have been on Maria's list of things to do in battle but she had to admit that was a interesting trick her oppenent knows. Disarming him would be near impossible with something like that.

Tenebra:I have a few others, but I try not to use them.
It was way too soon to be trying any tricks since he wasn't out to kill the girl. All he had to do was either knock her out or make her surrender and this fight should be over. But he knew that this trick would get old soon and she'd find a way to use this move to her advantage. It was the best and worst strategy all wrapped up into one.
He tilted back a little and threw his Keyblade once more sending it propelling off towards her. The Keyblade spun through the air horizontally cutting through and making a weird buzzing noise. Tenebra expected that she would move out of the way. It was something he was expecting her to do.

Crap... here it comes again.
Maria had an idea but she doubt it would work but at this point anything would be good. From her position she turned tail and made a dash for her claymore. The key was coming closer to her, and she knew she would be done for if she didn't act quick enough. Like a baseball player she slided the rest of the distance reaching for her claymore. As soon as she grabbed it, with her kopis in one hand she blocked it vertically. The throw had a little more force to it than she thought at first so she slide a little farther but with the strength she had she catapult the blade of a distance made a dash. Kopis in one hand, the sheathed claymore in the other, she dashed straight for Tenebra.

A chilling, howling gust flew by quickly, as if it were trying to catch the fighters off guard. The howls, if you cared to listen, could be heard far below the building as mere echoes. They sounded pretty dangerous, but when yet another breeze rolled by, those fighters could easily tell that something was coming... Then, a cold crystal hit the back of Maria's neck, one hitting Tenebra right in the forehead. That wasn't a good sign at all...
[OOC: Brace yourselves, fighters! Something's headed your way and it doesn't look pretty! The post is small, I know, but it's just a preperation post. Next time, it'll be real. The wind doesn't affect anything, nor does the ice crystal. It's there to actually wake you up. Have fun!]

Maria did feel the ice crystal hit her neck but she brushed it off, only thinking about her attack. As she was few feet away from Tenebra she dropped the kopis and grabbing her claymore pulled it out of it sheath and made for a sideways slice.
