The problem with Xion...(SPOILERS)

From what's revealed in the secret reports, first Vexen makes a 'Replica vessel'. Then, you can use memories to imprint upon it a specific being. How they manage to do this without the being thinking it's the real thing is rather difficult to understand, since they don't explain it. XD However, I'm guessing Xion is both a Replica Roxas AND a Replica Sora at the same time. That would explain why Xion wasn't 'born' as Xion until after Roxas joined the Organization. And the secret reports indicate that it's to ensure they keep hold of their newly gained power, ie. Roxas and the ability to free hearts.

I hadn't remembered the Cloaked Figure fight in KH1FM. However, that would explain how Xion is connected to both Sora and Roxas, if she's a Replica of both of them.

I don't think she's a replica of Roxas since he's a Nobody. Not to mention since shes made up of Soras memories and he didn't have any of Soras at the time of her creation.

They only could imprint things on her AFTER Roxas joined. That's why she's 14 and he's 13, you see.

Roxas doesn't remember much about his first week in the Organization at all, also, which seems suspicious.

I firmly believe that they required Roxas for some reason to have Xion, which explains the connection they share.

Well, I'll be perfectly honest with you. All of this we're doing? Is speculation. Now, I've got a BIT more information than you, having played the game and unlocked every thing in it, but the fact of the matter is that all we know on how Xion was made, and what exactly she's made of is that she is a Replica, and she was designed to take Sora/Roxas's power of the Keyblade, or at the very least imitate it.

It's especially indicative of her only being able to be made after Roxas appeared, though, since it says she was made specifically to ensure the Organization keeps hold of their NEWLY ACQUIRED POWER, aka Roxas.

You have about as much info as I do since I can go and check my brothers copy of the game and look up stuff too, plus the internet works just as good. I read that her purpose was just to be a fallback in case Sora didn't work out.

Especially considering so many people think she's made of memories and not actually a Replica, and it's stated quite contrary to that in the game. XD

And it never states that is her purpose, it says quite clearly, and I'm almost quoting here, that her purpose is to ensure that they do not lose their newly acquired power. They didn't acquire Sora; they acquired Roxas. In fact, near the middle of the game, Xemnas writes that it might actually be best if Sora never awoke at all, and they got to keep Xion.

I think the true secret here is that, she may not be a Sora or Roxas replica, but a Ven replica. Though of course, it would make sense that those in contact with Ven, would see Ven instead of Sora but alas that's my speculation on the matter. As for her being playable, she best be...I totally intend to audition for her. I just need a good night's sleep.

I severely doubt she's a Ven Replica. The timing makes absolutely no sense.

If you're talking about how Xigbar sees Ven, that's because her face changes based on memories related to Sora and/or the relationship that the person has with Xion.

For example, Saix never truly 'sees' her, continuing to think of her as a puppet. While Xemnas occasionally sees Sora.

One of the secret reports(I think its one of Saix's but they're never signed so its so annoying to decipher sometimes) specifically calls her Roxas' replica.

Looking at it, I see specific phrasing: "As the Nobody of the hero of the Keyblade and the Replica of that Nobody". So all of you saying she wasn't A: A Replica like Replica Riku, or B: Just Roxas's Replica, shame on you. XD Shame on me for missing that phrasing and not catching it when speculating on whether she was based off of Sora as well.

That whole scene with Xigbar is setting up Birth by Sleep. Ven has something to do with Sora hence the existence of Roxas having a heart...its too obvious to be obvious?

Moving on. The secret reports do mention that Xion was used to replicate the power of the keyblade. I don't know why they didn't just manipulate Roxas into doing their bidding. Less hassle if you ask me. She was the back up plan. Answered my own question really xD.

This has probabaly already been mentioned ( I've only read this page of the thread ) but would she be able to use the keyblade? She technically gave her keyblade to Roxas so he could dual wield and how short lived was that. Explains why Axel is so shocked to see two of them in their final fight in KH2. I quote "Two?!". Maybe she might have a keychain-less keyblade?

I'm, ah, serving as an adviser in a way, since I tend to think 'outside the box', and I hate going totally against canon. XD So the whole Keyblade thing won't be a problem, considering how she could use it in the first place.

By the way, she didn't GIVE him her Keyblade. I'm getting kinda sick of seeing that, actually. It's not even technically her Keyblade, in a sense.

As for Roxas having a heart... me and FSA were actually talking about how Namine and Roxas seemed to have a heart, or at least acted like they did, Roxas moreso than Namine. One theory that came up was that it might be the result of your Somebody still being around.

Xion dun need no Keyblade. She has super-Nobody final boss multi-forms. XD
