The old man was simply wretched.
That was, all in all, Bishop’s impression of the balding, moustached inventor. The android, unequipped for a fight (he was wearing but his Fayth and carrying his bible and had largely been mistaken for a wandering knight), had chosen his own way to contribute to the battle. Scouting for a suitable location or person that would be able to facilitate a peaceful transition from current rule to their own would be his little gift to the Barons and their continued alliance.
It would be so easy, after all, to descend to the savagery of mere animals. They were all conquerors.
As for scouting... he had discovered that the supposedly quaint French village was infested with English speaking persons of various stages of repute and ill-repute. There was one hunter in particular that he’d have loved to interest in a high-stakes game…
But no matter. Here was a curious tale indeed that apparently no one believed.
“…it took my daughter! My daughter[/b],” the old man sobbed, furiously wiping away snot and tears as he worked on some contraption or another. “And no one will believe me! They call me crazy! A fool!” Bishop nodded, silently wondering if anyone of particular import actually cared about the castle. Someone had thoroughly been misinformed about how important that Castle was. It seemed to be a mere fairy tail to most villagers. Except this one. “Oh Belle…”
“I believe,” Bishop said, a bit annoyed that this glorious mission of conquest was being subverted as an unintentional search and rescue and that none had planned for this, "that we may yet come to an accord. I am in want of a quest, you see. I believe we can come to an accord of sorts..."
ooc: If the overwhelming majority of opponents declares this to be an unfair use of environment, I shall edit accordingly.

[ I love how serious everyone's taking the Barons! Seriously, the Organization doesn't get this kind of resistance! Win or lose, BARONS FTW! ]
[ P.S. -- we intend to win. So yeah. ]
Damn it. He'd forgotten how fast staring contests turned into blood, sweat, and tears.
Tossing Retribution, his spear (with tassel) to Roesch, Engram immediately began in a quick undertone, "Get the boy out of the way. Now."
"Yes sir." Major Roesch muttered. So nice to have everyone in a happy mood today. And no, he didn't consider the boy wonder's giddy hyperness.
Grinning and bearing it, the Roesch began the Royal Guard offensive.
"1st Division, all out!"
Stepping lively, for he had no intention of being run over by incoming eight men with waving swords, Lt. Colonel Engram removed his staff Awe from it's place on his back, readying himself for the coming battle with gritted teeth and a veteran's composure.
The nine men in the Royal Guard all made for the grey-haired boy. Engram, on the other hand, moved to a defensive position by Theron. Under no circumstances should the heads of the Barons be risked.
With wary eyes aimed at the obstacles, Brice Engram held the Gun staff with a certain air of professionalism as he looked about. Twirling was not something you'd see from him. Quick and smooth, nothing less.
The eight men of the First Division swarmed ahead of their commanding officer, eager for their first battle. The excitement of fulfilling all the time spent training was quite hard to tell under their suits of armor, but even so one could tell at first glance that these men weren't not looking forward to sweeping aside the boy before them.
However... Major Roesch, their commanding officer, was more experienced and wily. A cunning, raised eyebrow was shown very clearly to the child.
Sorry kid. Hafta do better then that to pull the wool over my eyes.
"Take him down, men!" Roesch shouted with the same enthusiasm the division had.
[ Moderate Ability: Valor ]
"Sir, yessir!" Falling back into their training regime, the men remembered to be light on their toes, and ready at any time.
Staying to the back of the offensive, Roesch brandished the spear. It's length would be of no little use here...
Taking a moment from his automatically assumed guard, Engram glanced sideways at Theron. "If you don't mind, of course...," the colonel muttered. No point in guarding someone who's already got something planned for that.

"The Mistress of Light versus The White Knight Round 2" Now then it was easy to see the height difference between The White Knight and the enchanted men at the Armour's feet. It was also easy to see whom was on the side of "control". Clogsworth had tried to "enforce" authority onto the Lion in the cage. Lumiere had tried to flatter the lion behind the cage. Both were options that the party on the opposite side could take. So what of the reaction of the one whom was on the other side? Well, the iron bars which kept the White Knight imprisoned were soon clutched firmly. The tightening grip of the knight's fist resulted in the bars caving in on itself. The audible sound from such a grip could be heard through the dungeon.
Perhaps what was more shocking was the sudden movement of their esteemed 'guest'. The knight soon got down to it's knees. The helm tilted down in order to properly look to the servants of this establishment. Despite the armoured helmet masking any sort of facial expression, the tilt in head easily gave off a "Are you serious" gesture. Unfortunately for Lumiere's nerves, no response was given to the requests right away.
"..."
There was a small nod to confirm agreement. The grip on the iron bar was loosened before outstretching the palm toward them.
"I apologize for my actions, as per the law of most nations... the master of this estate can do as he pleases within reason. If the law of this estate desires that I protect it in return for my own...misgivings; then I shall do that. Will I be allowed to speak with the Master once this is over? If so, then please release me... we don't have much time."
The regal tone that this heroine took was much more admirable than the screams of a lion. Every bit a polite lady, what caused this sudden change in behavior? Freedom and not just freedom from this dungeon. By fighting the forces upstairs, there was a chance Anna would be able to burst free from the White Knight's imprisonment of her. Though she'd need to be very careful, already the mental strain of the enchanted armour was returning. The white light that was forcibly emitted from the crevices in the armour was fading.
"I must step into combat quickly, it's the only way..."

So, as current leader of the Barons, I now declare we have won the territory of Beast's Castle as of September 5, 2009. We have won this territory under the rule that: //If no opposing Faction or non-Faction characters post in the invading Faction's thread(s) for 3 days the invading Faction wins by default. The exception is if the opposition has posted in the Hello/Goodbye area to announce a reason for their absence, in which everyone just has to figure out what to do about that. This was obtained for the faction rules. The above excerpt is the 18th condition of the Territory System. [BOOYAH IN YO FACE, FOOL. Just joking. xD]

(OOC: Grav was the original creator of The Barons, as you can see here. You might say my rule was something of a "steward dynasty", so-to-speak.
BTW, I don't know whether this is intentional or not... but I couldn't help but notice that White Knight's character only has two Weak Abilities, thus, leftover AP. Might wanna use that up before you jump into the fight... just a thought.
Anyways... onwards, to glory!)"If you don't mind, of course...," Theron chuckled a little bit. "Not at all. Only the foolhardy ignore a military adviser. If your men can bring him down with ease then he wasn't worth our time anyway... and if they can't, well, we'll deal with that." He placed the tip of his sword into a small crevice in the stone floor and leaned forward on it, glancing up at the Colonel out of the corner of his eye. "If he does prove interesting, though... try to save some of the fun for me, would you?" Was it strange that the boy who just moments earlier had seemed so ardent for combat was now willing to passively sit on the sidelines and watch? Perhaps. However, Theron Bradford d'Metreon was not the kind of person to act without thinking. What would become of his inaction, then? He had a notion of what was to come... but those keen emerald eyes betrayed very little. He would watch, for now. Ab uno disce omnes, they say.

[OOC clean up?
Heh, it's like the Return of the King, oh Steward of Gondor]
If Amari thought Riku would not notice him slinking; he had. When his enemy incited the first move and upon not only hearing of a summon, but instinctively feeling the danger at his back (Dark Impulse); Riku leapt up, intent on twisting his body backwards in the air. Before that though, he fired Dark Aura, all seven balls of darkness scattering them to some leaders assembled before him. These blue fireballs would home in on Amari, Zeke and Engram; the 7 fireballs divided 3/2/2 among the three of them.
In any case, that was only to faciltate his great leap, which would have him twist his body around (as if it were a backwards flip) so that he could clear over the Summon behind him and make it so it was his chance to get behind the Summon itself. As Riku descended behind the Summon Laetus, Riku would run his Keyblade down the back of the Summon as he was falling from the jump. Since Riku was at the foot of the stairs after all, anything behind him would be on it; thus Riku now stood on the stair well, with the Summon in front of him. Thus, though Zeke fired shots at Riku, he would have the bulk of armor Laetus as a cover.
If Riku's attack on Laetus was successful, Riku would follow it up with a horizontal slash, using all the strength of his Keyblade and Dark Might to send the Summon Laetus falling down the stairs and hopefully onto the soldiers advancing on Riku in the process.

Lumiere and Cogsworth stood in apparent shock, unable to move as if they truly were but the furniture they appeared.
"Psst...Cogsworth..."
Silence.
"Cogsworth...I think she wants you to say something,"
Silence once more. Interrupted this time by a sharp metallic elbow to the wooden cage of the Clock's pendulum.
"Why, you no good oaf...!" Cogsworth began in a fury, but Lumiere's eyes motioned to the side where the 'prisoner' was awaiting an answer.
Trying his hardest not to look as surprised as he was, Cogsworth regained composure and act with prudence, "Yes, very well then," At Cogsworth's nod, Lumiere promptly unlocked the prison that kept her there (Perhaps not as well as they thought it did though?) with a key he had gotten from the master...from his room...while he was away.
Truth be told? The Lord had no CLUE they were doing this, freeing this prisoner. He would've NEVER agreed to such a thing; and he would've made his disagreements LOUD and clear. But, they had taken matters into their own hands in no small part due to Mrs. Pots. The cell opened up.
"They have already started, mon cheri, you best make haste to the Castle's entrance hall,"

Laetus stopped immediately in his tracks as Riku started to jump. Watching him carefully, he planned his move. Laetus waited 1.5 seconds then spun around clockwise with his right arm sticking out and up slightly. He had his cleaver in his right hand with his wrist bent so the cleaver was lined straight up with his arm.

Amari continued to run forward while watching Riku. He wasn't gonna underestimate him. He was a bit confused when Riku jumped then fired three dark energy balls at him and 2 at each Zeke and Engram. He analyzed the situation the best he could. He made his choice of action.
Amari thrusted his sword at the energy balls and used pulse aura at them. He then slid feet first towards the right side of the stairs (side he was on). When he slid the pulse aura sent the first Dark Aura at the others and caused them all to explode. The explosion was 6 inches above Amari while he slid under them. When he got to the bottom of the stairs, he slid up to his feet. He then jumped onto the rail of the stairs and began his ascent up the stairs.
"NICE TRY PUNK!" Amari yelled. He continued up the rail up to where Riku was jumping to. He jumped up toward Riku and swung his sword in a sideways slash towards Riku.

Zeke was shocked as the barrage of lasers and bullets missed Riku. 'What? He dodged!? Of course, our enemy would be a freaking acrobat. Just our luck.'
Of course, pressing the attack was the item of the day.
Sending a signal to the Gammas, they opened their hidden cannons, and let a second wave of larger lasers.
Zeke, on the other hand, fished through his vest and pulled out a second pair of clips, sliding his used ones back into his vest and reloading.
Time to get back to work!

"It was impossible to escape this dawning reality" Being knelt down, the 'view' of Lumiere and Cogsworth was much better than the looming presence of prior. Hearing the clicking sound of the prison gate, the knight seemed to look down as if contemplating. The sentinent presence of the White Knight itself was starting to return. In fact, not only did it return but so too did it's speaking voice.
"Gentleman, thank you for freeing me. I assure you this wasn't supposed to happen. For now I shall make up for the error of my ways."
This was the sound of a hero, a valiant knight just as it was prior to the rampaging of a violent Lion. For now, The White Knight stood up; allowing for Lumiere and Clogsworth to bask in it's magnificent aura! Careful in it's stride, the armour would proceed to the Castle's entrance hall. Apparently the party had already started and his invitation had arrived late. Thus it shouldn't have been a surprise when the White Knight emerged finally. Coming forth from the right side of the stairs (Riku's left), there was a certain swagger to the knight's walk. A powerful stride that radiated confidence. Even as The Barons men proceeded to fill the hall, the knight didn't look to them directly unti being positioned somewhat behind the giant oaf of a summon.
Of course pending Riku's actions at that point, said Oaf could be cleaved. Alternatively Riku could be injured from the quick action to prevent said escape. Regardless, the White Knight was on scene to prevent any further invasion.
"I trust that you invaders won't leave if asked?"
The much more manly and heroic voice questioned in earnest, yet already it eased itself into a fighting stance.

The Count winced at seeing dark magic flying from the boy's fingertips. It was so similar to... He shook off his distraction impatiently, focusing on the matter at hand. His "allies" couldn't be allowed to slacken in their offence. He muttered to two of his minions. "Make your way to the stairs. Fill any gaps you see, within reason." His men waited at the bottom of the stairs, ready to press the offensive at the first defeat or retreat.
His pointed ears swivelling like satellite dishes, he looked around, taking a moment to sneer up at the newcomer.
"One was funny enough, but two just seems like a muster gone horribly wrong. Perhaps you'd like to make your way down here, so we may pay you proper attention." It was a hollow taunt, and the Count wasn't counting on the knight trying to take him on alone. Still, a good taunt often helped promote mistakes, something the opportunistic Count would gladly capitalise on.us

Riku twisted in the air [Aerial dodge] to avoid the raised Cleaver mid leap, spinng his body to the right and around the blade's edge itself; in doing so, he would manage to get to his destination behind Laetus (who was standing...sideways now?). In this way, if successful, Riku would still manage to get where he needed; using the summon's massive bulk to parry the bullets fired by Zeke while at the same time, running his keyblade across the summon's back. The keyblade does Light damage, so if it struck, the summon would feel it's bane.
The Dark Auras would not be dispelled completely. At best Amari sending the first blue fireball at the others would collide with one other fireball and the resulting explosion perhaps causing another to explode. At least, the ones directed at Amari himself. This left the 2 towards Zeke and 2 towards Engram.
By the time Amari got to the stairs where Riku was to attack him, Zeke would probably have fired his larger lasers (at Riku? While Amari and Laetus were there too?!). Naturally, since Amari had to deal with the Dark Auras, he would be somewhat slower in his ascent. There was no way Riku would not be ready for both him and the lasers.
Quite simply, the silver haired boy positioned Laetus' large bulk between himself and the lasers. Once again using the Summon as a meat shield. If Amari found his own way to evade the larger lasers fired in their vicinity (Even if his sword was long, he may still be within range of the large lasers?), Riku would simply block the sideways slash with his own keyblade. Because of Amari's increased strength, Riku would have to hold his keyblade with both hands; one at the hilt and the other supporting it on the opposite end, at the back of the blade [Counter-guard activated, abosrbing the force of the blow].
If Laetus intervened, despite likely being slashed by his weakness Light AND likely struck by the lasers of Zeke's Gamma, taking the blunt of the damage, then Riku would deal with him appropriately then.
In the midst of the action, Riku did not fail to notice the coming Knight but he did not feel danger coming from that person's direction; so the keybearer concentrated on his own fights for now. If he was another foe, he would be cut down. If he was instead a friend...
