Damn. Because of Roesch's interference...Riku had to unleash his Dark Break prematurely. The timing wasn't right, nor the angles, in order to strike at Amari's vital points because of it. Furthermore, to parry the spear, Riku had use one of the six attacks included in Dark Break. It was only with Roesch's intervention that Amari could escape serious if not fatal injury. The now five remaining attacks of Dark Break aimed at Amari at forced angles (The other one was swung swiftly to whack aside the incoming spear). This meant that accuracy was compromised. Riku would only be able to go for Amari's hands and chest at best with his swings, seeking to incapacitate one of his adversaries.

Theron's response was quite unenthuiastic, but it would have to do. Ghast's natural arrogance took the answer as a "Yes," his minions certainly weren't doing the job well enough. However, it had not been expected that this invasion of this castle was going to be an easy job in the first place... I suppose it is time that they receive some help...
Snapping his fingers, Ghast's two clown minions immeaditely tuned in to their master. They knew there was an enemy here, and from previous memories and encounters (those they were allowed to remember), it was the boy with the white-hair. Did their master want them to attack the boy? Did he want them to do something different?
"Please assist our allies in taking care of that nuisance." spoke the egotisical man. The minions reacted at once, running forth with an inhuman hatred for their enemy. This was the result of Ghast's work; two deadly sociopaths who would direct their power at anything that their master commanded. They were mindless, in a sense. All they knew was their hatred of their master and that maybe if they obeyed him for long enough, they would be released from his power only to take revenge.
Sadly, the last was a lie.
In mere fractions of a second, Slasher was in mid-air, coming at Riku from his side, axe held back in order to swing with one hand. The slash would be a horizontal one, meant to slice the puny human boy in half at the stomach. Despite being a mindless minion, it seemed that Slasher had all of his angles lined up. There was no way Riku could change his momentum in mid-air... right?
But what of the other minion, Basher? This clown took an alternate route, coming from behind Riku. Having to make two leaps (one to the platform in front of the Ballroom and one toward Riku), his attack would be slightly off-timing with his counterpart. Basher had his axe raised overhead, he would swing it down at Riku's frail, tiny body when he came within three feet of the boy. However, it was quite possible that if Riku reached the maximum of his jump and began to descend, Basher could miss. But, should his counterpart succeed, it would knock the boy back to take another hit from the clowns.

How those two minions reached the top of the stairs so quickly (fractions of a second?! Before Riku who was already near the top finished his jump from the bottom?) was beyond Riku. Alas. Tally ho.
The spear thrown at Riku would be batted away directly towards, you guessed it, the first minion 'Slasher' as it approached. Such was his skill, such was his instinct for coming danger. It was a rough whack aside and by no means did the spear come at Slasher with the same elegance and purpose as it was thrown at Riku; rather it was violently jittery as it came at Slasher. But sometimes that random unpredictable movement proved more dangerous still.
In any case, it seemed unlikely now that Slasher could reach Riku in time.
That only left Basher. Having already executed his move (Amari's fate ending up whatever it was), and Slasher being otherwise occupied by a flung spear, chances were Basher would miss the descending Riku (it being a downward attack that covered very little space Riku could have occupied). That would not matter, though. Riku would not miss this opportunity - in passing Basher, before the clown even attacked, Riku activated XIII blades, and golden claymores spun around the boy threatening to cleave in twine any who got at least 2m close. It was said before right? You can't change your momentum in mid-air...right? (Note: If somehow Slasher was not delayed by the rebounded spear, then XIII blades would fend him off).
If things went well, Riku would land safely. And, he would immediately throw out his left hand to let loose a plethora of Dark Aura fire balls at Slasher (and maybe even Basher if he survived), who was relatively too near for it to be unlikely for the homing fireballs to completely miss.

[Bwah! Forgot about this!] Zeke had stood back while Ghast's distinctly eerie minions attacked Riku.
Noting the white armor that had emerged from who-knows-where, probably the basement, he signaled to his Gammas, who turned at moved to engage in close combat with the armored figure. No point in shooting his allies after all.
Moving closer himself, he slid a small sphere out of his vest, and into an outside pocket with a switch pressed down. The cryo-grenade was armed to go off after he let go of it a second time now.

"Fortune favours the bold!" The Barrons were quite a cocky group, clearly bent on breaking the law. This was unacceptable to the White Knight and it's hostess. Thus, the internal quarrel between the two had temporarily subsided. Their "rage" began to harness as the White Knight was taunted. Yes, the Count wanted to distract the White Knight. His taunt was successful, until it was challenged by a kid. "Not even worth our time..." The White Knight took mental note but was no sooner attacked! Gammas, that is...minions of Zeke, were ordered to go after the figure. In a burst of light, the White Knight summoned forth Eloquence, it's trusty weapon. The Spear was then twirled around before rushing towards the closest Gamma. It was akin to a shoulder charge, except Eloquence was held out and this it would serve as a stab/thrust.
The party was just getting started (finally) and already a new power was awakening within the White Knight. This would act as the first ever occurence of the hostess and enchanted being's "synchronization". Their goals the same, their anger felt. Evolution was within reach, though it would need a worthy "Trigger" to activate. Could the Barrons be the one?
OOC: Apollogies for lateness, since Homac is on LOA, I'd rather not skip over his attack but I can improvise in case anyone else wishes to attack me. Also, I've got time, loads of time so we can kick this up a bit more on my side until Akito recovers.
