The door opened, and the girl ran out with a sword, cutting her way through one of the three remaining. She had told him to get into her room, as they never went in there. He would definitely have to find out why, but for now... "What? There's only two left! We can take 'em!" he said as his shield faded. He picked up one of his daggers. "Finish the last one, then we'll talk." he told her, throwing the dagger. The last shadow jumped up and attacked his arm, cutting it. The cut burned, and as Rolt turned to look at it, it bled freely. It wasn't a terrible cut, but it did sting a bit. He located his daggers that were thrown around the room, and moved to collect them. "Now! Destroy it!"

Star concentrated standing in place until the heartless attacked her. Slashing horizontally the heartless let out a small noise and disappeared. "Lets go." she said opening up her door to her room.

As he picked up the last dagger, Rolt heard a slashing sound, followed by the girl telling him to come inside. He looked at his arm. Eh, might as well. She could have first aid supplies... or more importantly some food... Yes. He would accept her request. Rolt walked in the door after her, noting any suspicious objects, of which there didn't seem to be any. "Alright, so what's your name? And you said these things never come inside, so that means they've followed you before. What are they, and what do you have that they'd keep following you for? More importantly, if they come in swarms to get it, what's stopping them from coming in?" He knew it was a lot of questions to ask at once without even knowing a person, but he needed to know. He felt his arm tingling. He should probably take care of that. Leaning up against a wall, he asked "Ehh... you don't happen to have a sink and some bandages I can use, do you?"

"First off," Star put her hand out. "Pay for the hamburger you stole earlier." she was dead serious about paying for things. "And secondly...I don't really know why they don't enter my room. They just have some sort of hate for it." she shrugged slightly. "I'm Star." she placed her hands onto her hip. "Sit down. I'm going to fix your arm up." she went into the bathroom and came out of the bathroom caring a first aid kit.
((XD I really do hate college.))

Pay for the burger? Uh oh. "Hey, I don't have any money. Why do you think I stole it in the first place? Besides, I just saved your life!... Kind of. Name's Rolt by the way." He hoped she wouldn't be terribly angry, or at least that she'd understand. Then again, she lived under a roof. She probably wouldn't know what it was like to not have a definite home. As he pondered possible reasons for the shadows to be repelled from this room, she placed her hands on her hips, and told him to sit down so she could fix his arm. She left the room, and came back shortly after with a box, probably a box of various medical supplies. "Hey, I don't know about that. I don't like other people messing with my wounds, especially if they just hounded me for a burger I took" he joked. "Really though, I'd like to do that myself. Maybe while I do that, you can tell me what those things were? They keep popping up everywhere..."

Star stared at him with a blank look, before placing the first aid next to him. "They are heartless..they hunt peoples hearts." she said sitting back on a small chest near her. "They have been a problem recently attacking people and killing them." she looked slightly lost in thought. "They are looking for a heart, one that isn't weak. Another reason why they attacked you as well." she pointed at him. "You got to have a strong heart...or else they wouldn't of attacked like that." she still hadn't realized they were also attacking her. "Oh, and thank you for saving my life I'll take that as payment for the burger you stole."

Heartless? And they stole hearts? Well... He supposed it made sense. Though, if he attacked those with strong hearts, and He and Star kept getting attacked, that must be a compliment of sorts... As for the burger, well, He no longer had to pay for it. He didn't mind that. " So... They steal hearts right? But they can't come in here for some reason? I think, either your heart isn't strong enough, or there's something in here they can't go near. I don't think it's because of your heart being too weak; they came in large numbers tonight. So, what would you have in your possession that these 'Heartless' would be afraid of?" ((OOC: Yes! Finally he learns what heartless are. Now I don't have to keep backspacing and typing shadows everytime he fights some ))

"Like I even know.." Star sighed out placing her small sword down. "The only thing I have in here are a couple of rice balls, this sword, and a notebook full of unknown language." she shrugged. "Seriously, If I knew I'd tell you." she glanced at his arm. "Clean yourself up, before I clean you up myself."

Rolt listened to Star, and shrugged off his jacket. He wiped the blood off of his arm, and took out a bandage from the box. As he wrapped it around his arm, he questioned Star. "So, about that notebook... What exactly is written in it? It could be some sort of protection aura. I suggest we walk around and see what happens with the Heartless." He finished wrapping his bandage, and pulled a dagger from his chest, cutting the end, and tying it off. Standing up, he shook his head quickly, and ran his fingers through his hair. "So, how about it?"

Star looked over towards her book shelf. Standing up and walking over to it, she skimmed the books that were useless and the one book she found was the old covered one she talked about before. "I believe it's a magic spell book. But I haven't a clue what it says." she lifted the book off the shelf and handed it to him.

As he looked over the book, he could almost feel something from it. Yes, this book had something to do with the Heartless. He recalled that there was a Wizard somewhere in the Town, and thought of possibly bringing it to him. Even if they brought it to him though, the most he could do was translate it. Then what? Then... Well, they could certainly use it to help people. Maybe they could enchant things such as Ships or armor? Yes, this book had a great power that was yet untapped. "Where did you get this book? It's power is great! There is supposedly a wizard in town, by the name of Merlin. Maybe he can translate it? Think of all the people we could help with this... We could enchant Ships, make better armor for guards, cast it over a house... Surely there are other spells as well!"

"It was left here by the previous person who used to rent the place out." Star said thinking slightly. "That could be why I have been safe all this time." she stood up and looked at the book. "If we return it, my protection will be gone." she knew it wasn't hers, but her protection seemed to be the only thing on her mind at the moment.

"No, look. If we can get the Wizard to translate this, we can enchant other things with the spell inside! If we can do that, we can enchant this whole building, and everyone inside will be safe. We could enchant other things too! That way, it's not just you that's safe. Admittedly, the spell wouldn't be strong enough to work everywhere and remove all the Heartless, but it'll at least put up a barrier." He couldn't let this world get taken like his own. Rolt would fight this time. Even if Star didn't let him take the book, he wouldn't give up. "Wait. If this book has an enchantment, there had to have been someone who placed it. Maybe we can track down the author? He must have enchanted more than just this book."

"If we find the owner of the book, I'm sure they would be nice enough to give this protection to everyone in his town." she continued to stare at the book. "We'll do it in the morning, I'm off of work tomorrow so we can look then." Star placed the book down and turned from him. "You do have a place to stay right?" she asked placing the book back down on the shelf.

Place to stay? Well... Technically he did. "Yeah... I have somewhere." he replied, with a very small hint of confusion. He didn't know whether or not she was asking him to stay, but either way, he didn't know if he should. After all, she might still be mad about that burger incident. Then again, he didn't really want something to happen. He'd probably just stay somewhere where he could keep an eye on the area. "So, morning it is then? Where are we going to meet, and what time?" He grabbed his jacket and quickly put it on, adjusting it to be a bit more comfortable. He glanced at his arm, and made a note to stitch up the sleeve. He didn't know exactly how tomorrow would go, though he hoped something good would turn out.
