"First District Cafe, Ten o'clock." Star replied crossing her arms. "You best be safe leaving this building." she said before turning to him.

Ah, the cafe. Same place as their first meeting. Should be interesting enough... "Sure thing. I'll be fine, thanks for the concern." he said, turning to the door. He opened it and walked out, closing it behind him. As he walked down the hallway, he put his hands in his pockets. Yes, tomorrow should be a good day. He might finally get partial redemption for his past cowardice. If he didn't, well... At least he could say he tried.
[OOC: I've asked Merlin to join us for this next part, depending on what he says we may be able to put in a short quest request? It's up to you, I don't want to decide the direction without your input =P]

Star the following morning, brought the book with her in a dark brown sash-bag. She waited on him in the cafe area. Drinking a hot chocolate before doing anything helped her think even more. Whatever that book held, it would help them.
((Naw, don't mind at all. :3))

(GAH, trying to figure out a reason for why Merlin would be back in Traverse Town was hard!)
"Blast that Cid. If he hadn't forgotten that dreadful piece of technology I wouldn't be here right now, and well, Radiant Garden would probably be better off." But he had the strangest feeling.
"Did I forget something here?" He couldn't quite think of what it was, maybe one of his books perhaps. He hoped not. When he got home he would have to go through his book collection to see if any were missing. He just hoped none of the ones that had any power behind them. He was heading back to Cid's old shop, and with any luck, he'd make it there without any problems.

Rolt woke up on a pile of cloth sacks, and saw it was bright out. "Uh oh! Hope I'm not late..." he said, jumping up. He ran to the edge of the alleyway he was sleeping in, trying to both wake up quickly and re-orient himself. As he exited the alleyway, he dodged past a few people, shouting an apology behind him. One of the people caught his eye as he sped by, a man with a long beard and a light blue gown. He brought himself to a halt, attempting to view the man again and remember where he'd seen him before. Turning around, he scanned the crowd, but the man was no longer there. Rolt passed it off as a side effect of being tired, and continued to the cafe.
As he approached the table Star was sitting at, he was short of breath. "Sorry... I'm... Late...! Slept a bit... Too long..." he managed to get out, panting. He sunk into the chair, regaining his breath. "So... Where should we start to look? Maybe we should ask around?"

"I've been waiting ten minutes, so you're alright." Star said crossing her legs while sipping her tea. "Why don't we look around the second and third district?" she suggested putting her tea down. "It's a pretty big town anyway." she said with a simple shrug and standing up leaving her money on the table for the waiter. "Let's go."

Ten minutes wasn't too long. He hoped she wasn't kidding when she excused him, he hated making people wait. She stood up, putting some money on the table. He had to will himself not to take it when she turned around. "First or Second, eh? Well... Just 'cause I feel like going in numerical order, how about First District?" he said, turning to face that direction. In reality, that was the direction that strange old man had gone, and he really wanted to follow him. He had this mysterious feeling that the man was important, but he didn't know why.

"Alright." Star said looking over to her own bag and lifting it up slightly to look inside it. She pulled out the book and looked up at him. "Ready?"

[OOC: Sorry for the absence. I was waiting for Rocket to reply, then I got loaded with homework haha. I'm gonna go ahead and post, and send him a PM asking if he's still in this thread. If not, I might be able to get a member of the Canon Crew to do his part, or one of us could decide what to do if that's alright?]
"Yeah, I'm ready. I see you have the book, that's good." He really didn't want to go just yet, the book seemed to call to him. Maybe he could get a look at it... No. He wouldn't throw away his chance at helping defend against the Heartless. Not again. "So. How's it going?" He didn't really have much to talk about, but figured a long walk with someone else would be odd without conversation. He put his hands in his pockets, and started walking. Where would they look first? Traverse Town was a place full of back alleys and multiple ways to get between districts. Who's to say that the wizard Merlin would stay in one area?

Merlin would come to his house by this time, and would check to see if he had indeed forgotten anything. He hadn't, at least not that he could tell. If he had, it had been removed from this place after they had left. But he saw what Cid was wanting, a piece of a Gummi ship. Or rather that was what he assumed it was, as it looked pretty darn close to all Gummi Ship parts he'd seen, and that was few. But for some reason he couldn't shake the feeling that he had indeed misplaced something. So he drew his wand, and cast a spell.
Any book that was on this world that he had enchanted would now be removed from whatever they were resting on, or wrenched from the hands of anyone who was holding them. It would slowly move to this house, but at the same time, would take no longer than ten minutes to reach him.

Star looked over at him blinking slightly. "It's going alright." she said smiling slightly. "You haven't got a clue on what to talk about, huh?" she asked walking along side him. "The original owner might not even be in this town anymore." she said thinking for a moment.

"Haha, no... I don't really have anything to talk about. I'm not really used to having company." He looked from side to side, hoping to see the man again. No such luck. He must have gone into the First District already. "As for the possibility of the owner not being here... Well, I'd like to believe that's not the case. Though, if they are, there might be something that could point us in the right direction." Point them in the right direction? Even though it was possible, it surely wasn't probable.
As if on cue, however, the book flew out of Star's bag. It seemed to shake itself, and slowly flew towards their destination. Rolt was stunned; How was it possible that a book was flying by itself, unless... "Follow it! The owner is still here!" he said excitedly.

"Well, you have a beautiful girl accompanying you now." Star teased slightly poking at him. A sudden jolt and shaking came from her bag. As she glanced down at it, the bag opened by itself and the book came flying out. Dodging it, she stood there for a moment before listening to Rolt and took off after the book. "It's heading to that old housing area in the 3rd district!" she commented closing her bag as they ran.

Though he didn't know what they would do once they got to their destination, Rolt wasn't going to stop following. He had to follow through on the chase. He had to hope. Maybe there was redemption to be found for him. He had lived a while with a heavy heart, and had only told one person about his past. Maybe the burden would be lifted. Maybe. Maybe. He tossed the word around. No, 'maybe' wasn't a possibility. It would have to be more than that. He looked behind him to make sure Star was there. She was chasing after him, and wasn't far behind. This book could be a great help. It had to be!
