With a mighty snap Easley's whip struck its target hard and true, impaling the Snow Cyclops in the forehead above its eyes and sending it reeling backwards a few steps in shock and disorientation.
Easley: Critical Hit
In the meantime Snow Cyclops(2) was loosing any form of conscious thought quickly and had begun lashing around left and right at any moving blurs to cross its eye. Loosing health fast the brute began to walk forward just veered off to its right, as if moving into a circular path and taking it away from Easley as it attempted to ward off the shadows of the many clones in a futile measure of self-defence.
Cyclops(3), after catching its balance and being further enraged by the weapon released into its head, became filled by a burst of survival instinct and adrenaline, fueling its power. It roared again and stomped forward, but this time a little more slowly and cautiously than either of its counterparts. Its sight not so dulled as the second's the third creature of supposed myth look ahead and was displeased to find tracks in the snow leading to... nothing. It looked left to right and then spotted something.
A new intruder had entered its den. Feeling as if the Easley-shaped creatures were too much trouble to try and catch Snow Cyclops(3) changed targets and started gorilla-running its way towards Faye, looking to perform a body slam down directly on top of the blue-haired elf.

The Night Elf had come. Easley was uncertain what she intended to do with her small body in such a dangerous place, but as long as she did not hinder him; she would be left to her own devices.
However, the ninja was someone who finished what he started. In order to get to Faye, Cyclops(3) would need to run past him. Easley used this to his advantage by swinging his whip at the third beast's already wounded forehead as it ran past; intent on dashing the rest of its brain. The combined force of the Cyclops(3) gorilla running on a collision course with the whip should be more than enough to finish it off.
Then, Easley did it. From every direction, wires assailed the surroundings in random tandem; like the laser security commonly seen in spy Movies. The area encompassed was more than enough to fill the plataeu in a deadly field of wires. There was only a gap large enough for an average sized adult man to fit through. It had become a killing field for these large, bulky Cyclops; a Fatal Design. Cyclops (2), dazed as it was and moving without caution, would be in deep trouble. This also meant should any reinforcements come, they would meet an abrupt end if they were careless. Fortunately for Faye, her small stature should give her an uncommon edge in surviving the wiring field.

"Whoa!" Tidus exclaimed as he jumped over a branch that popped out of nowhere looking as if it was trying to trip him. Tidus stopped in his tracks and turned around to go and take a gander at the dead tree from where the branch came from. He suspected that the tree was just falling down and one of the branches popped out from the ground when the tree was falling.
Since he wanted to make sure that no one else would trip over this hazerdous tree Tidus ran over to where the tree was and summoned his Blitz Ball placing it on the floor directly in fron of the tree. He kicked it into the air and performed a backflip while the ball was in the air glowing a blue green color. With one swift kick, Tidus shot the Blitz Ball straight for the dead tree in an attempt to get rid of it so it wouldn't cause anymore problems for any other wandering travelers.

As Tidus' blitzball collided with the dead tress and exploded with force there was a high-pitched screech. The tree flew backwards and landed into the mountainside between two tree trunks, but suddenly seemed far more animated than before. It got back up and started walking forward on its roots, the branches moving like arms and tiny red eye-like dots appearing in the open holes of the grey bark. Heavily damaged and showing cracks in its hide the Mimick(1) leaped forward at Tidus in a kamikaze-like pounce, aiming to crash into the boy and pin him to the ground.
Almost simultaneously the nine other dead tress situated around the Treeside Path sprang to life, all of them showing the same characteristics of the first and each one looking to trap some potential prey. Besides Mimick(1) leaping at him Tidus had no other creatures between himself and the nearby exit, but the second through the fourth were all quickly skittering in his direction. Meanwhile Mimcik(5) through Mimick(10) were enclosing around Enaad and Neo from all sides.

And just like that the threat on Faye's life was ended, or at least the most physically noticeable one. Snow Cyclops(3) had its head blown through by another adrenaline-fueled and exceptionally powerful whip of Easley's weapon, ending its charge ina very clumsy series of stumbles and falls. The beast's corpse skidded to a halt not far from the girl herself, who already had the remains of Cyclops(1) to her left.
Easley: SPEED KILL!
As the ninja's Fatal Design took to the field in all its web-like glory Snow Cyclops(2) had lost the will to move and collapsed on the ground, motionless. It was now surrounded by a deadly array of thin wires anyway, though this also meant its death would come slowly rather than fast.
As the last of the three mythical beasts finally hit the snow-covered earth the motions at the edge of his feeling wires would start to register more clearly on Easley's mind. They were still several hundred meters off, but many rough shapes not unlike the monsters already downed were approaching in his and Faye's direction. They were approaching at a slow, bulky pace one might expect from a creature of such mass and short legs. As they reached the Fatal Design many of them suddenly roared in annoyance at the sight of the wires barring their path. With their enhanced eyesight even the ultra-thin strands did not escape their perception.
One picked up a stray bone and tried to knock the wires away, only to find it cut clean off at the sight of impact. The others noticed this as well and started exhaling deeply at the lines. A deep blue and icy mist gushed out of their mouths and passed over the network, leaving lines completely encased in layers of thin ice where it had been. From there the monsters started smashing the wires where they were frozen, causing many liens to start snapping off and fall limply down to earth.
As the larger of the masses did this to slowly remove the unwanted hazard from their home many smaller versions of the beasts Easley had felled started to rush into his area of awareness. They had small bodies about half Easley's height but remained undeniably muscular. The monsters moved like apes through the wire field, using their powerful vision, small size and surprising agility to traverse the web without injury. They still had much distance to cross before coming to the wire-master's range though.
To Faye all these things were completely unknown, the snow in the air clouding her long-range perception.

Easley observed with detached awareness. So the cavalry had arrived just when he had nearly finished off the first few. Irksome. The snow becoming a curse upon his invisible. If he moved, he didn't doubt that the Cyclops would be able to pick out his footsteps in the snow; especially if he sought to stab them in the back unseen. Irksome indeed.
So Easley retreated. He could tell when things would become messy. He was no might warrior that could cut down scores of foes without batting an eyelid; he was an assassin, a cowardly murderer.
Thus, maneuvering through the wires, Easley came upon the night elf he had crossed paths with before. He shed his invisibility suddenly as he got close to her...within three metres, that is. It might've been a strange experience for her to have foot prints in the snow approaching and a man appearing to lay claim to them only at the last minute. Whatever her reaction, it did not change the fact that he would need her help.
Easley had calculated the possible actions he could take and their eventual courses. He could fight alone and continue fighting as he had been; however, it was unlikely he would come out unscathed. When one could not be healed conveniently with magic, one took precautions. Easley had even thought of trying to collapse the cave mouth, but that would restrict a possibly vital area.
Thus, he decided simply to kill all the beasts and clear them out, before continuing his search.
"Four Cyclops approaching, two dead; more on their way," Easley said succinctly, wasting no time with introductions, "I will fight with you, or we could die,"

What a shocker!!!! ....not really thought Tidus as the tree became animated and rose up after being hit by his Blitz Ball. His sword already summoned from his hand Tidus prepared for the worst and boy did he get it. It was bad enough that this supposed "dead" tree came to life, but Tidus now noticed more of these dead trees began to come alive in the forest. His Blitz Ball returned to its owner rolling towards his feet then stopping once it was just inches from his shoes.
With a big smile on his face Tidus was now getting ready for a big battle. "There goes the neighborhood." he said under his breath before kicking his Blitz Ball straight at the tree then jumping forward to finish off the first tree so he could take care of the others. As the "mimic" launched forward Tidus leap was low enough so that when he swung his sword in a horizontal slash from his right side to his left making a crescent blue wave, it would cut the dead wood right in half. And he was low enough so that he would be able to evade the trees attack easily. Tidus would land on the other side turning around to see three more were quickly gaining on him.
"He heh I'd like to stay and play with you guys, but I've got other arrangements to get to so I'll be on my way."
Tidus jumps into the air, his Caladbolg becoming brighter and brighter as he gets higher. Raising it into the air Tidus swings it just one time sending a shower of purple energy from the tip of the sword down to where the other mimics are at. Once they hit something the purple energy ignite exploding instantly upon impact.
Tidus lands safely on the ground and makes a break for the exit. He wasn't sure if it killed the other trees but it would at least give him some time to escape the forest and do some damage to them so the others behind him wouldn't have to worry about facing them along the way to the exit. A tree branch shakes and his Blitz Ball is once again returned to Tidus.

Walking, the man with puffy black hair was going at a leisurely pace, keeping his eye out for near anything. And near anything it was. That stupid kid had triggered some enemies or something of that sort, a defense mechanism for Prometheus. Already, Enaad was developing a distaste for the cocky brat. What had been his name, anyways? Oh, well, didn't matter now. He had bigger fish trees to fry.
Oh, joy.
"Take'em out, Mocko!" the man shouted, already in battle mode. Rage was the only way to describe his current state. Pure, unearthly rage. This was the feelings Enaad got when he thought about the antiforms. There was a fire in a place where his heart was. Nothing but pure rage. He was incapable of feeling emotions. This was his purpose. To kill and slay all that aligned themselves with the alignment of the antiforms... The side of darkness.
Jumping with a large amount of strength to Mimic(5), Enaad pulled the trigger on his deadly weapon, spinning with his momentum to create a whirlwind of death, per say. He was titled at a slight angle, a cause of his jump, not that it would hinder his landing, hopefully. The blade, increased with the power of the MK15, would most likely be able to simply shread through the trees.
But, what about Mocko, our ever so lovable sidekick? Well, he certainly wasn't hanging back, doing nothing. Oh, no, Mocko was certainly going to do his part. Being outplayed by Enaad was not an option. Friendly competition? Possibly. But, whatever it was, it got the job done, no less.
Mocko had charged himself up with energy, sending himself up about thirty feet. He remained still for just a moment, then did vertical turn, now facing down. He raced down, his initial energy being reinforced with gravity. Now going about 65 miles and hour, Mocko passed through the regular trees, no longer in a melee state. He was no more then six inches off the ground, heading for the enemies. Enaad had the top, Mocko had the bottom. The two had been battling long enough to know each others moves, he didn't have to worry about being hit with the blade. He started passing through the five trees in a circle, constantly going around.
Made of pure magic in a sense, Mocko would pass through the trees, dealing massive magical damage to them. Hopefully, that was enough...

Tidus' blitzball and sword attack gave off satisfying crunch and cracking noises as the petrified tree bark was broken apart by his melee attacks, destroying the Mimick(1). Unfortunately the boy didn't quite know what it was he faced and before he could even turn around after his flashy move a pair of thin, pitch-black hands with pointy fingers were reaching back to snap down onto his shoulders and pierce their ends into his flesh for grip. As the grey bark scattered apart a small black blob with several red circles blinking like eyes all around it was revealed to plain sight. The true form of the Mimic(1). The hands reaching for Tidus had extended out from it on stretching thin limbs as two more shot out to anchor it to the ground. With the assailant in its grasp the Mimic(1) would perform an overhead slam with its extended arms, aiming to pull Tidus into a tall arc and slam him face-down into the middle of the Treeside Path. Mimicks 2 and 3 would by then be close enough to leap forward and attempt to pin the boy down with their weight across his legs and back respectively.
At the other side of the path Enaad would shred through another Mimick(5) with his weapon, lopping off a chunk of its upper body but not enough to prevent a lower branch limb from reaching up to claw across his face should the man not be prepared. Meanwhile Mocko was having more success with its choice of attack, the magical fusion energy of the moogle's Tackle striking at not only the slow-moving Mimicks'(6-10) outer shells as it passed through but often the true bodies of the Mimics(6-10) inside them as well, causing the wood-encased entities to freeze in screeches of pain.

Faye was slightly startled when the man from before suddenly appeared in the curious footprints she'd been watching so intently. Her eyes widened slightly, though she didn't otherwise move as she held her arms around herself.
He just came out of nowhere! A ghost? Magician? Her mind couldn't quite wrap around the possibility of invisibility. Never even crossed her mind.
"Cy...clops?" she asked, now tilting her head curiously. Was that what the carcasses near her that were now...deceased called? A sad expression crossed her face for a fleeting moment at the thought of a living thing being killed. What if they were just trying to defend their home? Would she not have done the same thing as these creatures?
But then again, if freeing the man she had set out to rescue meant sacrificing other beings...was it equal? Was it right to do so? She couldn't go back on her mission, that was for sure.
The possibility of them dying didn't seem to effect her as it should. Honestly, she seemed to just..ignore that fact. Or be blissfully ignorant...probably the latter.
"Alright. We will fight." she nodded with enthusiastic determination. She hesitated between drawing her sword or staff. Hmm...
"I can blind enemies, use very very hot white light, and break the ground. Which do you think will be best?" she asked, then seemed thoughtful. "Or are we to beat them with our weapons...?"
How many would they fight? Who cares! Her mind hardly lingered over the thought of actual battle for life. Everything was so...light in Faye's mental world. Or so it seemed.

Break the ground and they all die. Fighting head to head with weapons against these beasts was far too dangerous. Especially for an assassin and a mage. Were this an RPG game, they were desperately lacking a tank. Thus, the most effective manner of action now was to finish the cyclops off indirectly. If Faye could blind them, that would be incredibly useful. Especially now that the younger cyclops were so effectively maneuvering through his web of wires; Easley would like to see them do so without their beloved eyesight. Their sight was a formidable ability, especially when Easley and Faye's own sights were impaired in the frost. It had to go.
"Blind the Cyclops, get all of them if you can but aim for the smaller ones in particular," Easley said succinctly, as if it were a mere business transaction, "Use whatever magic you have to hurt the legs of the younger Cyclops; once they're down, I'll finish them off," His hand lashed out and a wire whipped towards his kodachi, Breaker Moon, and twirled around it. Tugging back on the line, he retrieved his weapon and sheathed it again. With that, he headed towards his field of wires and climbed onto them like they were a web of rope ladders. He reached a point where he would soon be directly above the approaching younger cyclops. All he could do now was wait.

Even with the effect of all the snow in the air Faye would be able to make out roughly four lumpy shadows moving with inhuman agility towards her and Easley. The mythical children were ducking, rolling and hopping through a deadly maze where one wrong move meant death or the loss of a vital limb. They were almost in range to begin attacking now, but were keeping their number in a rough line spaced out moderately as they approached. They could smell the blood of their own in the air and were being more than cautious, yelling back grunts and roars that only the elder beasts still freezing and breaking through the furthest parts of the web could understand, like a scouting party.

Who would have guessed that these dead wood stumps that magically came alive were actually something else? It would have been a good idea to make sure that his target was done for before just turning around and leaving the fight. This was one mistake that Tidus would not repeat any time soon. The Mimic that had revealed itself finally and stretched it arms out like a monstrous Stretch Armstrong, grasping Tidus shoulders.
This didn’t look good for the young hero, but luckily Tidus was a quick thinker when it came to moments like this. Too bad he didn’t do this kind of quick thinking when it came to things like school, but that would have to be talked about after this. With the Blitz Ball still in his hand, Tidus threw it up in the air right before the monster would launch him into the air. Once he was at the right level Tidus used his free legs to kick the Blitz Ball with full force, sending it straight for the Mimics red eyes which made it look just like a bull’s-eye. Tidus had timed it just right to where the ball would go at an angle but still meet its target.
Using the momentum from that kick Tidus would use try to break free from the monsters kung fu grip by using his sword that he had held in his other hand and cut off the monsters black arm by tilting the sword back at an angle to where it would slice the arm right off without cutting himself and thus freeing one shoulder. Tidus griped the handle tightly and jerked it forward giving it enough force behind it to have the already sharp blade slice through the beasts arm like a knife through butter. With his sword arm free he would slice off the monsters other arm and free himself from its grasp performing a back flip landing on the ground safe and sound.
But now was not the time to be celebrating, Tidus had to now deal with the other two Mimics that were about to slam into him from above. Tidus bent down to where his knees met his chest, then sprung backwards to avoid the two deadwood trees. Landing about thirty meters from where he was standing at Tidus now had enough space between him and the Mimics.
Tidus pounded his chest repeatedly while shouting out, “You guys want a piece of me? Come and get it.” at the Mimics.

Still spinning for the time being, Enaad's attack seemed much less effective then compared to his smaller partner. That must of due to the fact Mocko was a magical combatant, while Enaad was one of physical strength and weapon skill. In a way, they were a very well balanced pair, being able to dish about both types of attacks. However, they both lacked in defensive maneuvers, seeing as neither had been truly been made to have to use them. Most of the fighting they had done in the past had been nothing but offensive, trying to drive back the Antiforms.
But, y'know what they say. A good offense is a good defense.
Seeing the limb out of the corner of his eye, Enaad used his free arm to being it down upon the branch, using just enough force to (hopefully) block it. He landed at an awkward blocking stance with the Mimic, Enaad started trying to "cut" the thing he was at grasp with (5) by bringing his vibrating blade down upon it repetitively. Whilst he had somewhat noticed physical attacks weren't that effective, they at least did something...
God damn kids... I'm going to punch that Tidus punk in the face when I get this over with... the man thought, annoyed by the fact he had brought the enemies upon them. Once they got done with this bunch, Mocko and him would probably have to help the punk!
Mocko, had not seeing the event just took place between his partner and the enemy, kept going around. Green, Brown, Black. Green. Brown. Black. These things weren't normal. And they didn't exactly feel like God magic, not that he knew what that kind of magic felt like... It just didn't seem "holy" enough. Would it be possible these things weren't here to protect Prometheus? Mocko would have to remind Enaad to ask the man that when they got back to him eventually... It could be a false assumption the moogle was running on, but was there something at work here?

Enaad would find a surprising amount of strength from the old-looking branch that he blocked against with his own arm(Unless he was expecting it to be strong in which case it would still have a lot of strength, just not surprisingly so). Their limbs collided and the branches twigs curled around his arm and would begin to tighten even as the gunsaw pounded into its bark again, clipping off more and more of the petrified shell of Mimick(5). Another blow probably would have rent it off completely, had the branch not straightened out and flung Enaad into the path of.... Mocko, who was in the middle of finishing off five of the disguised Mimic(6-10) beasts with its Tackle magic.
On the other end of the Treeside Path Tidus had used his athletic ability to attack and free himself from Mimic(1), a creature far more susceptible to damage without its hiding shell. Its arms were easily sliced off and dissolved into black wisps of smoke by the Caladbolg he wielded while the blitzball pounded on its head and caused it to roll back a few feet like a ball itself, red eyes closed shut. He evaded the advances of two other dead trees and shouted a challenge. One that Mimick(4) seemed eager to take up as it came upon its two(2+3) flat-down brethren and picked them up with one branch arm each. The Mimick pulled back with its left branch and threw Mimick(2) ahead missile at the boy forcefully, then waited a moment to gauge the reaction and aim before following up with Mimick(3).

[Speed Boost Activated. Using it in this post, if ya don't mind Bilby. ^^]
As the two arms collided, a dull thump was heard between the sound of wood and bone. Enaad had prepared for such a pain, however, he wasn't even guessing the next event would happen. The Mimic, somehow, had thrown him! It didn't seem possible. The beings of wood didn't look that strong, but in this world, anything was possibly. For the sake of reality, he had just met a god a few minutes ago!
Flying through the air, Enaad was positioned in such a way where he could see the white blur coming towards him. Whilst one would think that flying through the air towards a ball of dangerous magic would mean getting hit, Enaad and Mocko did have other options for such a predicament.
Timing it just right, Enaad used an amount of increased of speed (Boost) to swing the blunt side of his blade toward his partner. "Limit" he said, loud enough for Mocko to here it. It wouldn't take half-a-second for his partner to recognize the action and the word.
Ceasing to glow in mid-air, Mocko threw himself at his partner's blade, attaching himself to it's base. The blade now glowed, along with Mocko, the force which he had threw himself to it turning them around, facing Mimic(5). Enaad managed to roll off the ground as he landed, throwing himself up, putting himself into a standing position near instantaneously.
At almost the same time, Enaad started firing at Mimic(5), moving his aim back and forth between his personal opponent and the punk's opponent's as well. If Mocko's magic as one large ball had been extremely effective, then hundreds of tiny little balls made of the same stuff would surely be powerful.
