Dilan regarded the redhead suspiciously as he came to collect his partner. In terms of speed they were about evenly matched. Sheer numbers would probably let them win but he was most likely finished. Perhaps. Giving Dilan the finger, the redhead grabbed his partner and, impressively, folded Rude into a fireman carry.
Reno winked before walking off. A silent communique between old enemies: 'don't go relaxing just yet.'
"Be seein' y'all." He saluted, sauntering off despite his 100 kilo plus burden.
Dilan snorted. How petty and pretentious.
"Mr. Dilan? You alive?"
Dilan looked down. "Yeah. Yeah I am kid."
He nodded to the three of them as he accepted the pass. "You guys did good."
"Now hold onto those. Shinra gear is made a little special. You'll probably find some use for them outside of Shinra too." __________________________
Shinra never skimped when it came to architecture. Vaulting ceilings met them as they entered the Shinra compound proper - it had to be, eight... no, ten stories tall. One long elevator joined at the center while walkways spiraled towards the side. This wasn't a company that did things by halves.
Dilan smiled confidently.
"Let's go exploring, shall we?" __________________________ OOC: Consider this a role-play discount for just about anything you guys want to justify buying for your character. Story's not over yet though. ;D

Vidrel held his nose. He couldn't see straight, though he supposed he should have waited to grab the passes. Though that stupid little girl didn't have to remind him... He pointed a finger at her, and shot a small ball of flame to the ground behind her. "Watch your tongue little girl. The next shot may not miss." he groaned out. He grabbed the pass from her, and turned to follow Dilan. He told them to keep them, as they may be useful outside. That was stupid, what else could they do outside of Shinra? Whatever. He seemed to know this place well, though, so he might be telling the truth.
Inside, the building was quite fancy -- Large ceilings, very tall, with an elevator in the center. "So... What exactly are you here for anyway?" he asked, still looking around. In all reality, Vidrel didn't really have a set destination; he just wanted something interesting. Something for himself. Chances are, if he followed Dilan, he would find something. Especially if he was going deep into the company... That was generally where the good stuff was.

Emi stuck close to the two older people in the group, Dilan and Vidrel. Felt safer that way, although she had proved by now that she could hold her own in a fight. She definitely liked the idea of exploring, and hoped to find a little treasure for herself. They went inside the building with all of its impressive architecture. Emi tipped her head back, eyes widening at the sight of it all and gave a long, low whistle.
"I didn't even know places like this existed."

Fi made stood behind the rest of the group, looking up at the building.
His sentiments, though he didn't voice them, were the same as Emi's.

"You're the new recruits Reno sent?"
Revolver had been having a bad day. First her little sister - lovable accident-prone martial prodigy that she was - had somehow managed to destroy the microwave oven in a nightmarish example of why exactly you didn't decontaminate live ammunition using household appliances.
Kid could operate, disassemble and repair a two-man XM307 20mm portable autocannon... and still had trouble with even the most basic and fundamental tenets of common sense. Revolver, at times, despaired over what Elena would do with herself. She hadn't wanted to become a Turk (for obscure and unknown reasons) and was currently racking up awards in Shinra's paramilitary mercenary academy.
And now Reno, her eccentric superior, was taking the day off. Just like that. She'd gotten a text message two and a half minutes ago, took two minutes to confirm its authenticity and all of thirty seconds to rush to the Shinra entrance. She was feeling a little queasy. Because when Reno - of all people - sent you:
Rev! Found some kids off the street. Thinking of adopting. Taking the day off for some R&R. Put them through their paces, alright? Thanks! Also, don't tell the boss. You got very, very paranoid. Because much as Reno was well-respected, his eccentricity was damn near legendary. When she reached the ground floor, Revolver almost cried when she saw the four people she had to drag around:
Reno was being literal.

"Pffft. Reno needs more exercise."
"Reno, you cannot do this to me. I am not a glorified babysitter." Were the first words Dilan heard. He blinked good naturedly at her all the while frowning internally : Reno hadn't given them free passes - more a guided tour. It was reasonable. The tour guide seemed a little on the edge though.
"Hello... gentlemen. Lady."
She directed them towards the elevator shaft. "This way, please." Stamp by ghost-the-echidnap

A blonde-haired girl was walking towards them, and Vidrel was unsure of how he missed her earlier. She was wearing a very similar suit that Reno and the other guy were wearing, which hinted that she was working with them. He wouldn't trust her. She spoke, and Vidrel wasn't entirely sure what she had said, however her next line was more intriguing. She had greeted them, and was now directing them towards an elevator, with only a mild hint of annoyance. Something didn't seem right; nevertheless, if she didn't know what was up, then it was time to play nice... Vidrel hated playing nice.
"Yes, Miss... I'm sorry, I wasn't told who would be greeting us." he said, forcing out a polite tone. This was almost worse than death... He wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the group was laughing at him on the inside.

Emi ducked shyly behind Vidrel when the blond lady tried to direct them toward the elevator. She watched warily, narrowing her eyes at the woman, who was wearing a uniform similar to the one of the people who attacked them before.
She didn't trust this lady. Of course, Emi didn't trust most anyone.

Fi's expression grew sour as the lady began talking at them. Well, more at Dilan and Vidrel, but he and Emi were part of the group too.
Making sure to keep his "lance" in a nonthreatening position, he stood next to Dilan, and glared at their supposed "guide."

"Oh. I'm Revolver. Friends call me Rev. Don't."
Rev straightened her tie as she walked forward toward the elevator shaft, heels clicking over the polished stone surface that was the floor. Imported obsidian - the best that munny could buy. Shinra had experiments going underground that even she had no idea of. And while expensive, there were few methods of magical or mundane detection that could cut through a meter or obsidian and cold iron. They certainly weren't going to the basement though.
They'd be going straight up.
Reaching the elevator, shafts, she selected the one for Turk use and thumbed the UP arrow. Her tone was clipped and impersonal as she could make it as they waited:
"Mr. Reno told me to show you the usual Shinra routines for hired personnel." Leviathan knows why but I suspect a minor case of schizophrenia. "We'll be heading to the combat simulation room to get an idea of what you guys can do. After that..." I'll make something up. "We'll break for lunch and give you guys some field experience. Sound good?"
Behind her, she caught the dreadlocked (wait, wasn't that an Apprentice...?) guy making furtive signs of some kind but dismissed them as unimportant as the elevator 'dinged' and opened.
She missed, then, his whispered: "be patient."

"Sounds great!" he said as they filed into the elevator. Jokingly, he added "As for the combat training, well, just ask Reno what we can do!" He hoped that wasn't going to make her angry or suspicious. She already seemed like she was in a bad mood. He caught Dilan's hushed voice, 'Be patient'. He must be talking to the kids, or at least he had better be. Then again, this was getting annoying. He wanted... Stuff. Lots of Stuff. And this girl, Revolver, was getting in the way...

Emi caught Dilan's whispering for them to be patient. Even though Emi wasn't sure what she was having patience for, or if the words were even directed towards her. True, she did feel a bit of restlessness to get where they were going, for the next part of their adventure.
She occupied herself on the elevator ride up by looking all around and absorbing all the details she could.

Fi stood behind Dilan, and gave a slight nod as he whispered for them to "stay patient."
He'd make sure to figure out what he was staying patient for later.
However, he also kept an eye on Vidrel, as he was probably who was actually being told to be patient.

Once they'd entered the elevator, Dilan blinked as a cool, feminine-sounding voice issued from the speakers cleverly placed so as to give an impression of coming from every which way. It was annoyingly perky. Probably a first generation AI.
"Good morning Revolver! And guests! But it's not actually morning anymore is it, hahahaha-"
The sigh that escaped Revolver's lips was more than a little bit unprofessional. "Hi Christmas."
"You're looking lovely Revolver! And so do you, Dilan!"
Dilan erked. Both at his name and the fact that a computer program was fitting him in the same category as a pretty-enough professional hitwoman/assassin/babysitter. Damn. Even Shinra's programs had recognition sequences keyed to his facial features. This probably wouldn't stay a safe spot for long. It'd only be a matter of time before the police put an alert out for him and by then it'd be game over.
"Well. Maybe not lovely. More like handsome and dashing-"
"Christmas."
"Anyway! I need some user identification for our other three lovely guests before we can proceed. Wouldn't want us to forget you, now would we?"

Fi looked what he assumed was a camera and said loud enough to be heard, "Fierrero Shien."
He hoped that was enough. Talking to someone that wasn't there creeped him out big time.

Hmm. Sophisticated stuff, here. Maybe he could take some of it... "Vidrel Lyphrem, here. he said in an official tone. Something bugged him though... 'Christmas' had recognized Dilan. He could be leading them into a trap... He'd get him alone later and find out what was wrong here. It wouldn't have bugged him as much, but Revolver hadn't even reacted to it. Vidrel had a feeling this tour of Shinra was about to get interesting...
