_DANTE_____
Dante's attack did exactly as he'd hoped. The three Heartless surrounding Rich shot backwards and landed hard against the rock behind the waterfall.
However.
Rich was shot back too, and was now far too close to the Heartless. Shoving his legs out against the rock, Richard made a desperate dash to get away. The Shadows did the same, and very closely followed Rich. One of the lashed out and scratched him on the leg, even!
"Aaaah!" Clamping down on the leg, Rich made a sorry attempt to keep his hands on the leg.
...of course, this meant he stopped swimming. Silly boy.
The sun in the far distance was reaching water's edge... night would soon be upon them.
_MICKEY_____
Mickey's Keyblade looped around to hit two of the Shadows on full force, blasting them from existence. It clipped another, sending it flying into the far off bushes. The remaining Shadow was still busy trying to remember that the sky was blue, and it continued to sit there.
As Mickey brought the Keyblade down on the Shadow lingering around the tunnel entrance, the small black creature looked up to Mickey. Sidestepping the blow entirely, it watched as Mickey ran after the memorybeing.
It paused. Staring into the tunnel towards the Secret Place, it's head twisted to the right like a curious dog.
It then vanished. No poof, no destruction. No Corridor of Darkness.
Just... gone.
~
In the Secret Place, Molly's captor wasn't having a particularly lucky time with her captive. Molly's brown hair was flying around as she shoved herself in every which direction, kicking pulling, and trying really hard to scream through the arm in her mouth.
After a resounding WHUMP, Molly was considerably quieter. Though her head would be very sore in the morning.
Gritting his or her teeth, the shadowed figure tensed as Mickey's figure came through the entrance.
Night does strange things to the way people see things. Under the moon, the fine edges of people are very apparent, showing only the vaguest of details. The starry sky, in some ways, is better. It's light is indiscriminate, and casts a faint ebbing light. After a time to adjust, many white-washed features could be visible under such light.
Inside this cavern though, the worst of both possible hopes were found in abundance; the faint glow of the stars only reached the edges of the people in the grotto.
Molly was easily identifiable by her mussed hair, with untidy clumps sticking out every which way. Mickey too had a similar problem: his iconic ears make it easy to recognize him in almost any light.
The kidnapper didn't have such problems however. Very little was unique, or different enough to provide a positive ID in better light. The person's hair dropped down to at least the shoulders, maybe more. He or she stood reasonably tall... maybe a little shorter than Dante. Again though, hard to tell in the poor lighting.
Pants.
Long sleeved shirt. Maybe even a turtleneck.
Their face was completely veiled by the night, however. No luck there.
"...crap." she breathed (for the menacing figure was indeed a she). The sight of the miniature monarch brought no good feelings to this woman. After a moment where she collected herself, the figure spoke again. However, a steely tone entered her voice. "Alright then... Master of the Keyblade, hear me."
Still tensed, and keeping the holding position on the limp Molly, the woman continued. "Our time is short, and I don't have much to say. However, understand this: I mean the memorybeings no harm. The same applies to you. But I must speak with you, and you alone. And," she added, "you must voluntarily hear me out.
"What say you?"

"Rich! Wait right there! I'll save you!" The teen dashed forward, his legs pounding hard against the sand. As he reached the small pool of water, Dante jumped up and placed his hand above the Shadows, a Pulse Aura rippling through the air and towrds the Heartless. Memory or not, Richard was still his friend and when you messed with his friends, you were screwed over. Hell was going to freeze over and suffocate you in its blistering blizzard!
Mickey should be in the Secret Place by now, so all was good if these three were destroyed. Once these went poof, the warrior and Rich would be able to run for Molly. If only he hadn't been so stupid...

[OOC post deleted]
The King hadn't stopped when he'd come into the Secret Place. Mickey would have kept going, performed some elegant and tactical aerial maneuvers, and ultimately separated Molly from the kidnapper without harming her. In theory, anyway. Really he would have made it up as he went and relied on a bit of luck to get him through it.
But then the person said a slightly rude word that his iconic ears detected quite easily, which the mouse stopped from the mere shock of. Really, the things people say these days! How vulgar. The barely-visible woman(Apparently) used that moment to collect herself and speak.
"You aren't one of Dante's memories?" Mickey asked. He'd thought perhaps memories from his time with that unpleasant-sounding Madame had come into his Destiny Island recollections, but that didn't usually happen in Castle Oblivion so this did sort of make more sense. Expression turning from surprised to serious the Darkside's golden blade, which glittered majestically even in the faint traces of light present, was pointed directly at the person. "Dante asked me to save her and I can't just turn away a friend. Put her down and I promise I will not approach her if you don't. Then I'll listen and it will be fair for us both."
The Keyblade came down and was simply held at the King's side after this. Really the woman would still be closer to Molly if she wanted to snatch her up after putting her down, which he was aware of and hoped the compromise would be more easily accepted. He didn't mind being at a disadvantage if he were to be betrayed. Mickey was a trusting King.
"As long as you also promise not to use any more rude words."

[Sounds good, I think! Lemme know if I misinterpreted it, okay?]
__DANTE_____
The Pulse Aura rammed out from Dante's hands to slam into the Shadows at breakneck speed, effectively blasting them underwater. Given the Heartless were already pretty battered, it's no surprise that they didn't come back up.
Rich was holding his leg during the whole thing. There was definitely blood flowing from that wound. Seething in pain, Rich brought the leg down slowly into the water. Letting out a gasp of momentary pain, he slowly tried to let the water clear the blood out.
Gritting his teeth, Richard nodded towards Dante in a friendly manner. "That.. ah, that coulda gone better." Biting his lip, he glanced down towards the leg wound. It wasn't exactly visible through his hands and the water, but there's no way just letting it soak is going to magically fix that. It might be a bit deeper than a scratch...
Nighttime, by the way. All this is visible via some particularly moderately bright stars.
__MICKEY_____
The woman immediately dropped Molly. Though it was hard to see it specifically, you could hazard a safe guess that the woman's quick shift in weight was her using her leg to soften the fall.
Molly didn't get up.
"She's just out of it." she said right away. "And I'll hold off on the language for- for the sake of the conversation."
Standing tall, with an air of authority matching the mouse's, the woman proceeded to talk. "You've been and gone, and know a fair amount about the castle, but not.. not enough."
"Memorybeings are people. Real people. People who don't make it out.
"People who fail."
Urgency rushed into her voice as she clenched her fists open and closed in frustration. "That's not to say they can't get out. That freedom's never... never out of reach.
"I want you, and your friends, to save my friend. Akenn. He's here, on the first floor, as one of the memory-people. I don't know who- he changes into a different person each time some random guy walks in(!)- who he is now. But you've got more time here... I don't." As if in accordance with that, the woman's hand flew to her stomach as she nearly went down in pain. Steadying herself, she brought her eyes up to meet His Majesty's own.
"I don't expect you to do this for free, Keyblade Master. The top floor... nngh!" Whatever she's trying hard to resist is getting stronger.
Too much stronger.
In a bright flash of light-- where for that one instant, a blur of orange hair was visible-- she vanished.
[On another note, Molly being out for the count means her Hysteria Bar is no more!]

[ Not afraid to write to the canon of the universe how you please, are you Rocket? XD Unless it's all an elaborate ruse, of course ]
Mickey winced at little at the seemingly harsh treatment of the kid, but kept his word and heard the girl out. She promptly vanished and the ruler made his way over to the girl, propping her torso up at an angle in his arms.
"Can you hear me, Molly? Are you OK?" the King asked softly. She seemed completely out of it, but unharmed. Mickey lifted the girl up in his tiny arms as best he could and slowly began to carry her back outside the cave.
Back outside Mickey emerged to the sight of Dante and an injured Richard with more Shadow still lurking about. He let Molly's legs back to the earth while supporting her upper body with his right arm, then waved a hand to the pair.
"She's all right!" he called. "Now we just need to get rid of these guys!"
Of course the King remembered that a Shadow had not been defeated while lurking around the secret entrance, so he kept his eyes peeled and the ground around him for any sneaking or emerging Shadows.

Dante, after landing in the water, made his way over to Richard, hoping that the wound wouldn't be that great of a burden. "Richard... Let me see the wound. I can take some cloth and wrap it up to keep it from getting infected." This warrior may not be that keen in medical assistance, but he knew a few things that everyone should know when on the battlefield. In response to his statement, Dante ripped off a piece of his long sleeved shirt and soaked it in water before showing it to Richard.
"She's all right!" That sounded like Mickey! The only she on this memory island was Molly, so that could only refer to her. Dante turned around and saw Molly with the Mouse warrior, giving a thumbs up as a smile formed on his face. "Great job, Mickey! I'll keep on the look out for that Heartless, but I've gotta take care of Richard's wound first!" With that, the Ex-Apprentice placed the cloth closer to Richard's wounded leg, insisting that he let him lend a hand.

[Bilby: xD No comment.]
Sadly, there was only 1 Shadow left. To Mickey's right, in the bushes, the little monster was making a fair amount of noise running through the brush to make an escape.
No sign of the one that'd been lurking around the entrance to the Secret Place. Hmm.
"Nng..." Rich hesitantly looked towards the leg, only to regret it. He wasn't exactly fond of the sight of blood. Wincing as he released his tight hold on the wound, he nodded to Dante. "...aah... alright. Alright."
Huhrm. Wasn't as bad as all that blood would have you think. Pretty much a big scratch, but it did get a little too deep around the center of the scrape... that'd explain the pain and blood. He could walk on it... but it would hurt like nothing else he'd felt.
Molly was still out for the count. That woman packs quite the punch...

A golden-bladed Keyblade promptly slammed into the bushes with a horizontal spin to it, jamming into the tree bark behind them and sticking in there. Mickey stood still next to the cave exit with Molly in his arm. he was being careful, because the weapon hadn't been thrown low enough to actually hit a Shadow if it was in there.
'I wonder if one of these Heartless could be the friend she was talking about,' Mickey mused as he tried to lure out the hiding creature. If it tried to attack he'd have no choice but to defend Molly, of course.

Dante tied the ends of the cloths around Richard's leg and smiled, standing up and giving a helping hand by sticking his hand out to help the memory up. "Lets go. I don't think that staying in a pool of water is the best thing to do." Well, this trip to Destiny Islands is now deemed daft and dangerous. Dante, even though he was now resting a bit, was getting tired and couldn't take much more of this constant fighting going on. The warrior wondered where Magus was currently.
He had been split from the rest of the group for some odd reason. I shouldn't worry. Seeing what he was capable of back when he was fighting that Mushroom, he should be fine. I need to worry about getting out of here with Mickey, though. The rustling of a bush could be heard with a number of snapping twigs, sending the attention straight for Mickey. Why had he hit that bush? Was there something that the two, Rich and Dante, didn't see?

Whoosh went the Darkside, over the Shadow's head. Half a second later, the Heartless in question poked it's head up out of the brush, twisting it around to look at the attacker.
Attackers.
It promptly went back to hiding, though it was much louder. Probably running faster. By now it's starting around a bend.
Rich nodded sharply as he started up and gripped Dante's hand, though he almost missed it through the dark night's shroud. Pulling himself up, he instantly favored his unharmed leg. "Aah... that's gonna hurt in the morning." He made his way out of the pool with Dante.
Molly still wasn't up. It's been a little while... long enough that worrying wouldn't be unwarranted.
[You mean "Magus", rather than "Nascent", right? ^_^]

As Dante brought Rich up, he could see why Mickey had brought his keyblade into the bush. There was a remaining Shadow still lingering around. He wanted to go help Mickey, but Rich... "Richard, how well do you think you can move? Is it possible to run, or can you just walk for now?" The warrior really wanted Rich to say he could run. It would make getting out of here much easier, especially if he could carry Molly and follow the two 'real' warriors.
Dante also wanted to ask Mickey about who had attempted to steal Molly from them. "Mickey, we'll be with you in a minute. Just let me take care of Rich for a sec, K?"
[OOC: Yes... >.> I meant Magus. I guess I wasn't 'fully' recharged after that break.}

Mickey's curiosity about a certain matter, not entirely the request the stranger had presented him with, urged him to try and follow the fleeing Shadow. He couldn't leave poor Molly and Richard hurting like this though, or Dante might have trouble defending them in case of another attack. The King quickly jogged over to the two boys' side with the girl in tow and put her down gently next to Richard.
"Leave this to me," he said as he stepped back. Mickey was hen enshrouded in a soft but luminous light aura and he floated a few centimeters off the ground. As he did so a pillar of matching golden light shot down out of the dark sky and landed upon Molly. The Mystic Mouse's Healing Light(Life Aura) spell would restore both of the memory being's to health and consciousness, unless something was terribly wrong. He would have to use up all his power to awaken her though so Richard would have to cope with his leg's natural healing for now.
"I'm going to try to capture that last Heartless. Follow me when you can," was all His Majesty said after his glow had vanished. He then turned, summoned his Keyblade back to himself from where it had been lodged and darted around the bend.

The wash of Light immediately brought both of the memorybeings back to tip top shape, with Rich admiring the severe lack of scabbing, with some slight regret, ("Girls like scars 'n stuff. Shows you're tough or something.") while Molly blinked away the black night behind her eyelids.
_DANTE_____
Needless to say, Rich jumped right for her. "Molly?" He hadn't noticed she was hurt during his own little pityfest of pain. Or unconscious, actually. Yeah, that'd be the better way to phrase it.
Molly, of course, shoved him away. "Hey, I'm okay, I'm okay." she assured him as she pulled herself into an upright position. Before dropping back again. Sighing in relief, she shoved her hands over her face. "Aaugh... that was so... weird. The black things, and and... I mean... yeah."
Rich nodded in agreement. "Creepy?"
"Yeah."
"..."
"So... Dante. What's new with you?" asked Molly.
_MICKEY_____
The fast escaping Shadow now stood over an open Corridor of Darkness. The Corridor itself was laying flat across the planks of wood that made the floor of the clubhouse area. Though treehouse would better describe the area to the far left of the Secret Place's entrance.
Not bothering to take anytime to examine the portal, the Shadow made a running leap for the hole. Whether it made it, though...

[ Whoops. I thought I edited my post to say only Molly was healed, since I figured it counted for the 1-use KO reversal of Life Aura. Sorry about the slip. ^^; You can let Rich keep his scar if you want. ]
Mickey had no way of getting to the portal in time to stop the Shadow. His Pearl wouldn't be able to fly that fast either, and throwing the Darkside that hard might kill the Heartless. Luckily Mickey Mouse was a magician. He always had an extra trick up his sleeve. He pointed the Keyblade's tip right over the corridor of darkness as he ran. The Heartless tried to get in it with a jump but would instead be met with a crystallizing spire of solid ice from the King's Freeze magic. A relatively weak spell, there was a good chance the Shadow would be knocked back from it and be at least a little dazed. Afterward His Majesty would zip over behind the Shadow lickety-split and grab it over the top of its head with his free left hand.
If he could manage that much the Shadow could be kept from becoming untouchable by sinking into the ground. He could also stop its wriggling with a quick bop of the underside of the Keyblade's handle to the little scamp's face. Even Heartless could be knocked out, after all.
