"Well Dante, when your friend got kidnapped I found a woman who wasn't from your memories responsible. She said that all the people we see in these illusion worlds are actually created out of people who failed to pass the castle's trials and became trapped on the floors, used to recreate the memories of other people for anyone new. I was told that she has a friend on this floor that she wants to save, but how to do it is the question if any of that is true."
Mickey turned his eyes upward with a stern look, as if telling the presence that they weren't intimidating him. Still, that didn't make his and Dante's necessary next move any easier. They couldn't leave the floor without the card that unlocks its exit, and history indicated that it was always held by the memory that serves as the person's trial... in this case Angeline. That was the best guess this surviving veteran of the castle could make, at least. Who knew how things may have changed with such new forces involved?
"Right now we need the Exit Card for this floor, and the memory of your friend is the most likely place to get it."

Growing apprehension met Mickey's stare skyward. Though no response was forthcoming, the sky and maelstrom of wind surrounding the remnant of Destiny Islands slowed... hesitantly.
Waiting. It's no fun.
Ange seemed to share the same sentiments. Her eyebrows arched downwards with impatience. Look, if something bad's gonna happen, happen! she seemed to be thinking.

"Someone else... Not from my memories? You've got to be kidding me," Dante seemed to sigh as he placed a hand on his face. How could someone else have snuck in with Mickey and him? The only other way that someone could be here was with a memory of Destiny Islands, right? Could the woman have gotten here by some type of advanced magic? It had to be some pretty darn good magic if that was what it was.
The teen removed his hand and took a quick glance at Ange, then turned back to his short friend. "Are you sure that Ange is our way out, Mickey? What if these voices are the right people to be going after?" Dante was simply stalling the inevitable as he tried to reason with Mickey. Unless there was some way Ange could give herself up to replace the more violent choice, then they could just get out of here. It was probably useless though, since Mickey was probably not going to give up on using his method.
Voices in the air, fighting Ange, coming back to the Islands... I'm insane. No doubt about it. "Well, are these guys going to talk soon, or what? I'm tired of standing here, you know?"
[OOC: Late, and as short, as any recent post. Still, we should get this thing moving if we're to finish this quest, right?]

Mickey might have surprised Dante when his expression lost all of its seriousness, their currently dangerous predicament no longer seeming to bother him at all. Instead he just put a hand on the kid's shoulder(Possibly only since Dante had needed to kneel down for them to talk properly) and spoke sincerely to what he felt.
"Castle Oblivion isn't a place where you can be certain about much of anything," he conceded to the darkness-touched boy. "But I do know this: The world we exist in now is from your memories, not the memories of anyone else. If we're going to leave this floor behind you will have to find the answer on your own."
The King turned and opened his free hand in a gesture of acceptance. He was looking vaguely toward both the girl from Dante's past and toward the mysterious emptiness of the sky. Mickey wasn't trying to tell Dante that they had to attack Angeline or that the voices weren't a threat. He simply felt in his heart that this wasn't his trial to overcome, just his to lend a guiding hand to.
"How should this memory end?" he poised, bringing voice to what he felt was the greatest concern to the vaguely-interpreted "rules" of the castle, of which no one could be certain. "If the memory ends then the floor has nothing left to keep us here with, no matter how corrupted by darkness it might become or how much others interfere."
His Majesty had said it openly for the others present to hear and then turned to Dante again, looking encouraging.
"Well, that's what I feel in my heart anyway," Mickey added with a small laugh.

What should he do? Dante asked this question over and over again, trying to find another answer, but there wasn’t one. He also didn’t have much of a choice in the matter. Mickey seemed to know a lot more about this castle than what he had ever experienced. The Ex-Apprentice focused his gaze on his small friend, letting a soft smile break through. If it had to be this way, then it simply had to. No more stalling could prevent the inevitable. ”Mickey, you’re right. I might as well do what my Heart tells me, too.” Dante stood up, shrugging off his friend’s gloved hand and turned to his memory. ”I believe, Angeline, that this is how this room is going to end.” The teen brought up his weapon up in a swift motion, preparing himself as his right leg slid back. It’s only a memory of her. She’s even younger than you, Dante.” With a pounce forward, Dante was ready to attack Angeline. He seemed to be using only half of his strength. He wanted to save what he had in case of an emergency.
(Museless and tired. Thank you, school.)

[ RIGHT SO ANYWAY... ]|--> The SceneThe remains of Destiny Islands, in the midst of the foul night that the world fell to the Heartless just a year past. A lonesome scrag of rock, topped with the fading sand, with scraps of foliage struggling in the face of the tropical storm-level winds and plank wood unable to resist the call of the storm, falling skyward.
The sky is mirth with Darkness. It power courses through the sky, turned a harsh purple and tinged with black scars of smoky clouds, thundering about and around the pitiful sandtrap, fermenting far above in the timeless sky with a powerful, malevolent glow that burned into the retinas of any who looked upon it, leaving a living memory of the fall to darkness. The darkness was greatest there, amidst a monsoon of a tyrannical winds and nightmarish energy.
One last tree, it's palm fronds whistling in the wind, stood on the plateau. Marks strode along it's brown trunk, the scrapes of shrapnel come and gone. <--| Dante's draw of the blade was dually swift and sudden, his words harsh. With the wind at his side, his charge for Angeline was with... a surprise. For as his right foot crossed in front of the left, shifting the sand below, white lightning smeared across the sky, casting a momentary splash of light. With the light to Angeline's back, her surprised and hurt face was drowned out by shadows. Her body was a momentary silhouette. Under Mickey's eyes, a familiar sight. Angeline shut her fists, a black aura flaring around them. The smoky Darkness quickly fell in on itself, creating a solid sphere of black and purple energy. Ange's eyebrows were curved in angered determination as she readied herself for the coming battle. Dark trails of wispy smoke began to gather around her left hand as well. "You know what? Fine! Let's fight! Makes about as much sense as everything else around here!" she bellowed, her voice fighting the roar of the wind. Angeline raised her arm lightning fast to meet Dante's coming blade, titanic determination on display with the motion as she shifted to a battle-ready stance. [ I highly recommend grabbing some diapers for this one! Ange won't be holding back on the Dark powers this time, buckos!

The execution of the movement was nothing short of the skilled swordsman's abilities. In fact, it was the most fluid motion he had used during this entire debacle. Still, it didn't cut through the strengthened arm that blocked its path. The darkness seeped out of every pore in her skin, oozing into the air like some sort of twitching poltergeist. Something just seemed out of place with this battle, something that Dante couldn't immediately explain. This had to be done, though, no matter the cost. The Ex-Apprentice's eyes locked with Angeline's, a spark of rivalry quickly flashing. "Alright, Angeline! This ends here and with you defeated!"
A quick surge of energy shot from Dante's body and came out in a form of powerful, condensed energy able to push back his foe. This was an ability the warrior picked up after the Wars, aptly named Pulse Aura. This would hopefully cause minor damage, but would definitely send his memory back a bit.
